Not Bad at all... The market reaction to this result will be a pointer to how much energy the bears still have.

At times like these, the Oracle will advise you cherry pick whatever your hands can touch irrespective of whatever fundamental, technical, sentimental, spiritual and/or guts analysts are saying.... grin
Very right. Especially for those of you who are 'obese'. grin
Cherry picking fundamental stocks that have reached their 52weeks low or gone below it self.

Diff of 12kobo in my own opinion, market reactions may not be fantastic with the current bear period though the result is not bad

Market does not have to react. it is those that want to buy that should start accumulating if it goes lower.

STOCK MARKET GUIDE FOR 16 AUGUST 2019

The bear is currently ravaging the market. How do we survive/protect our portfolio? See our comments below.

This a time we need to put our emotions under control. Also, our patience to wait for the right entry (as low as possible) will be put into test.

Caution: This is for information purpose only. Data used are assumed to be correct. However, you may want to verify the data from an appropriate source. Also, Institutions can afford to suffer big losses without going burst compared with an individual, you cannot follow them blindly (you need to at least have some knowledge/your own plan). Not a BAD result as they are trying to clean up the books of their Nigerian operation.

TIME VALUE OF MONEY THEORY made me lose a lot of money in my early years of investing, whenever I get money I rush to invest because of the THEORY.

I m a lot wiser now. I know that opportunity comes in CYCLES, so I accumulate cash awaiting the favourable time to STRIKE!

Now I thank GOD for this STRATEGY, I have been striking at the appropriate BARGAINS.

OK, thanks.

I can't really understand why the CAR ratio dropped significantly below regulatory minimum in a space of one accounting year.

Too much theories about money make great opportunities pass us by...

The educational system we inherited from our colonial masters, which we still are using till date, is what makes us THINK that THEORIES have no PRACTICAL application. This is the reason an Electrical Engineer speaks about "theories" with eloquence but if you ask him to wire a 2 - bedroom flat, he cannot. This same mentality is what we have taken into our Religious houses thinking that it is just THEORY and not something for us to live our lives by.

I dare to be different. If your knowledge is not applied, you are no different from the one that knows not!

Making money does not require too much theory otherwise professors of economics would have dominated the Forbes List of world richest men. That's all I'm saying.

With the level of fall of this market, one need not be too afraid to pick some stocks.

many of us on d sideline now will eventually miss the current opportunities or able to buy when stock rise for about 35 to 45% when the bull show face.

this GTB H1 Audited report shows that there is nothing serious that will affect banking result/dividend at year end. Hmm forward pe of less than 4 with roe of about 30%...

wait and see zenith result which I believe will be better than this.

note; i enter mkt last week and still loaded with some cash to load more soon

He doesn't know that theories are fine-tuned or jettisoned with practical applications. It all comes with experience. The yoruba people talk say if you get so many fine clothes, you no fit get as many rags as an elderly. The young and inexperienced talk more than they look while the elderly and experienced look more than they talk.
