2+2=22 If you know you know.

Anybody who says killings and kidnapping rocking Nigeria as a country is not political, he/she is not a patriotic Nigerian

Arithmetically you are correct (2+2=22)
Politically you're incorrect. Lol

On serious note, you said it all.

Don't forget soldiers train and good in handling weapons more than any other security agencies, if u no see any soldier kill or injured e dey happen like that... So sit ur ass down and remember what happen in damaturu years back between soldiers and police... No soldier killed or injure but police die like fly. Get sense, police go fire you now now and deny. Later una go start #endsars #endpolice. Nonsense.

As always, very well put together. I haven't read anything about Hanan Ashrawi in a long time - but I do remember her rather masculine voice.

How do you typically source your material? Any background in library science or history?

Any plans to collate your posts on here into a permanent record? I ask this because I almost wept after this site went down during the so-called NL tsunami - when hundreds of priceless (and yes they were priceless) threads were lost. angry To this day I do not know exactly what happened because I was offline around that time (in 2014 I think?).

If you know what happened at that time, kindly give a condensed summary (my apologies to anyone who feels I'm derailing the thread) with links, if possible.

Thank you.

Nairaland went offline for a few days. It was allegedly hacked. The admin had to restore the site from a backup copy. The last backup was done a few months before the site went offline (I think it was 3 or 4 months before it went offline). Everything that was posted between the time that the backup was created and the time that the site went offline was lost.

the police have become a victim of what they do to civilians on a daily bases at checkpoints....but its sad, im quite sure the officers and soldiers, are in detention , if the kidnappers hasn't escaped, no one would blame them, but the suspect escaping smells fishy and the army guys have something to cover..... but the police ought to have identified themselves too, even military officers most times offer their car papers and allow their boots to be checked.....without telling you, they are officers....you cant be bigger than the law, another question is who shot first, when the police saw they were being chased, why didnt they park and send one unarmed personnel to liaise and apologize to the soldiers, which is less threatening.... the police invited mayhem on themselves ......but army, how did the kidnappers escape and how come only the policemen were shot?

Did they really invited mayhem on themselves as you claimed? Now, truth is coming out gradually. We're seeing the video of how some of them tried to identify themselves but still shot at close range

More reasons why BH thrives till now...complicity of security personnels.

BTW I had thought Evans is the only rich kidnapper, so there is also this Alhaji too.

How did this Alhaji escape while those who arrested him were killed. I smelt rat!
Haah!

My question to police as well;

Why using unmarked vehicle for the operation without informing other security agencies?

Why they refused to stop at check point?

Why they fire at friendly force?

No case, RIP to those policemen.

Top police sources said the DIG further scrutinised the entries, only to discover that the entry indicating that the IRT team was in the jurisdiction for the arrest of Wadume was missing.
The removal of the entry was believed to be a ploy to give the impression that the IRT team did not follow laid down procedures.
He was said to have requested to see the incident book where entries were made but the DIG was shocked to find that certain pages had been torn off.

That's another argument entirely. Admit your earlier foolishness. You insisted that the victims were at fault, put all the blame on them. How they didn't inform other security agents, how they opened fire first, how they refused to stop. You completely went with the army's spokesperson narrative. All efforts to prevail on you to use your common sense yielded no fruit. We tried to tell you that those who killed them knew exactly who they were and those soldiers knew exactly what they were doing but you wouldn't listen.
We told you to use your common sense on how was it possible for the "victim" to escape unhurt with handcuffs when other occupants were either killed or maimed? Most especially, when you were claiming that they were shot at a long distance and not a close range. Most especially, when you claimed that the police shot at the soldiers first.
Man, you disappointed me a great deal. Because, the soldiers story from the beginning to the end didn't add up. It really surprised me that you didn't see it, may be you refused to see it. Stubborn goat.

Stubborn dog I can see you can't comment without abuse or insult, how I wish you use ur common sense to narrate the story from beginning without an insult maybe I may understand ur view.
