First flaw - Accepting that the "33.62 is the highest score" across board implies that the voting population has been the same size and same demographics during ALL the voting periods.

Second flaw - Accepting that "the larger the voting population, the larger the percentages to him" assumes an innate knowledge of the population that may swell the voting population and the reason for that swell.

I think there is a bit of gut feeling in your analysis.

Mike topped Tacha when he got 33.62 Percent

Based on this, the order of strength is Mike, Mercy and Tacha...

I rate Omashola above Seyi because Seyis votes the last time were not his true strength but we have seen Omasholas true strenght and it ranges at about 26% Maximum. Seyi got about the same thing even with his solidarity votes for the veto stunt. Seyi is weaker than Omashola.

The mathematical claims being used are frustrating the heck out of me.

How can you say you are 100% accurate and yet you are off by 0.68% for a particular prediction? 100% accuracy means zero room for error.

You are 100% accurate but 75% of your prediction is off and you say you were only focussing on the 25% in the first place.

Then you say the .68% is negligible when you never made a statement of negligibility prior to making the claim.

Anyway, maybe I am the one that is too much of a mathematical purist...

When Mecy topped at 28%, 5 people were up for nomination. When Mike topped at 33%, only 4 people were up for nomination. Simply logic, the lesser the nominees, the higher the percentage.

Voting percentages

You get voting percentages from assumed voting population. Right now the voting population favors Mike because,

1) He alone has scored the highest score when he scored 33.62

2) It was during his own nomination week that the percentages hit above 30% for the first time

3) one of his nomination weeks saw him being just 0.8% below very strong contenders despite him coming to BBN relatively unknown when compared to others.

The larger the voting population, the larger the percentages to him because that is the current trend which i do not think would change as long as what adhered support to him which made him top Tacha remains the same and he does not change. Its a ripple effect.

I cannot explain it any simpler than this. If you still wish to remain proudly ignorant then good luck

I hope that you understand that:

1. The voting population is not constant.

2. The number of votes cast is not constant, even if voting population doesn't change.

2. The voting behaviour is not constant. For example, I've voted for Ike, Omashola and Frodd at different times. Even when two or all of them were up at the same time.

3. The number of nominated housemates is not constant. We have had 5, 6, 20, 9.

4. No top Housemate has been up more than 4 times, yet you have drawn your conclusion. This I find hasty, considering that we have about 7 more voting weeks to go.

5. The strength and pull of nominated Housemates is not constant too. You can score 60% this week, and 20% next week. Yet, the number of votes cast in your favour in the 20% week is higher than the one in the 60% week.


I'm not a statistician nor a mathematician. But this is basic.

I thought Sunday morning's incidence between Froddster was going to tear them apart, but on the contrary they're now closer than before. I actually like them when they're having their banters and talking swipes at each other. Even my husband was smiling while watching them play ludo and go at each other like secondary school kids.
