HDI captures everything that you guys have been talking about here for ages! As it stands,Nigeria needs sustained 10% economic growth for at least 5 years to reach Kenya`s level of development! Unfortunately, Kenya is doing 6% growth and Nigeria 1 % economic growth! Third world country went into recession 3 years ago! Crazy! Remove oil from Nigeria's economy and it`s the world`s poorest nation! Oil generates 90% of forex! Already it has the most poor people in the whole world.1% economic growth for 3% population growth means poverty rate in Nigeria is only increasing. Please don`t compare Nigeria with Kenya.Btw Kenya will start producing oil and can foresee her GDP tripling in around 5 years time.Nigeria is a disaster waiting to happen.

You are misleading people, if HDI was measured by GDP Nigeria would be Higher in the rank than Kenya.
The Human Development Index (HDI) is a summary measure of average achievement in key dimensions of human development: a long and healthy life, being knowledgeable and have a decent standard of living. The HDI is the geometric mean of normalized indices for each of the three dimensions.

The health dimension is assessed by life expectancy at birth, the education dimension is measured by mean of years of schooling for adults aged 25 years and more and expected years of schooling for children of school entering age. The standard of living dimension is measured by gross national income per capita. The HDI uses the logarithm of income, to reflect the diminishing importance of income with increasing GNI. The scores for the three HDI dimension indices are then aggregated into a composite index using geometric mean.

The HDI simplifies and captures only part of what human development entails. It does not reflect on inequalities, poverty, human security, empowerment, etc.

Kenyans you don't have any choice but to be Nigeria's junior. the world knows it

Why are you this insecure and desperate? grin
The guy is doing a documentary research on various countries across the world and besides he didn't quote anywhere in most of his documentaries which country should be a junior to the other. On top of this, aside from population and some mineral obsessed economy, Kenya has never been Nigeria's junior and it will never be especially when it comes to matters of development, you can take this to the bank.

You can post all the screenshots you want about Kenya's electricity, at the end of the day, it wont change the fact that few Nigerians have access to constant electricity! and infact, you have the worst power supply system in Africa!! The only thing you lead when it comes to power is the number of generators per capita!
How can a country of 190M only generate only 4,000MW of actual electricity!!!!! Ethiopia with only 90M generates waay more, Don't you have any industrial capacity/ I would have expected the "giant of Africa' to be an industrialized country like SA or Egypt that produce excess of 40,000MW.. not just depending on oil money for GDP..

And I posted plenty of pics That showed your less than Average CBD, which you denied , Unlike me who left you to go around upper-hill and Westlands with no objection because it was still technically part of the urban CBD, knowing very well that you left a big chunk of Nairobi's actual current CBD!!!

Do you even have a CBD or is it just a one stretch drive where all the buildings are in one line that you can see it all in a 5 minute drive??

For much of the weekend, Lagos, Africa’s largest city, has been hit badly by heavy floods.

Yeah, you have been sharing thousands of pics. . .

I liked all of them thanks! I'd enjoy the pics you have taken more grin

We do have car exhibit in Addis but the last time i have been there was decade ago and plus they were just showing those manufactured locally. Here in Ethiopia, access to cars like those you have shared is nearly impossible. . .

I've created a telegram channel to bring this African connection and i wanted to share the different events going on throughout the continent. Which is why i was asking for the pictures

Glad you enjoyed them. Im no longer on telegram (as I stopped cheating on my girlfriend). Might have to reinstall again for this. But we need to talk about the latest in Somalia.

Kenya gets AU endorsement for UN Security Council seat smiley

Kenya has won the second round of voting at the African Union, effectively getting the UN Security Council endorsement.

Kenya garnered 37 votes against Djibouti’s 13 in a vote taken in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.

“I congratulate Kenya for a well-deserved win and I am sure Kenya will ably represent our great continent at the UNSC,” Amb Mohammed Idris Farah of Djibouti said. grin

I bet one of the 13 votes was from Tanzania. Probably even voted twice

Ethiopia's Abiy is more pro-oromo. I like the guy but he's somehow becoming a threat to our geopolitics. He is against Madoobe who is an Ogaden. Our intelligence marries well with the Ogaden republic. Let's see how our ally Ethiopia will approach this. They should leave project Jubaland alone, it was Kenya's idea. A strong Jubaland means a peaceful Kenya.

https://www.businessdailyafrica.com/news/world/Regional-Somali-airport-refuses-to-allow-Ethiopian/4259366-5242156-15nugl2/index.html

Dilemma is when you are trying to safeguard peace in your own country by splitting another one. How the situation is unfolding now is not necessarily in our best interests because we are literally rigging in Madobe by shielding him from competition. The Ethiopians too need to stop micromanaging Somalia.

US Presidential Aspirant Grabs Headlines With Kenyan Belt

In an apparent boost for Kenyan-made products, American Billionaire and candidate for the 2020 US Democratic presidential primaries, Thomas Steyer, has specifically recognized and appreciated Kenyan female artisans for their work.

During one of his recent campaign videos, he wore a Kenyan-made belt, which elicited a lot of reactions with many questioning the origin and asking why he chose such unique wear.

He claimed that he bought the belt during one of his travels to the country, and it was sold to him by a woman artisan.

According to Forbes, Steyer's net worth is $1.6 billion, with his company Farallon Capital growing it into one of the most profitable hedge funds in America.

Even though he has been on the sidelines for a very long time, Steyer is well known in the American political circles, having worked with President Barrack Obama, Hillary Clinton, John Kerry amongst others.

He is also the chairman of one of the biggest has deep business connections with business magnates like Warren Buffet and Bill Gates. He is a big enthusiast for the environment and philanthropy.

In August 2010, Steyer and his wife signed onto The Giving Pledge, an initiative of Bill Gates and Warren Buffett. The pledge urges individuals and families to give at least half their wealth to charitable causes during their lifetime.

Steyer has been compared and contrasted with the Koch brothers, billionaire businessmen who engage in extensive political activity, and has been viewed as a Koch adversary, although Steyer's total reported net worth is but a small fraction of that of the Koch brothers or other billionaire political activists, donors, and fundraisers (such as Michael Bloomberg and George Soros).

Steyer's 2020 presidential campaign began on July 9, 2019, when he stated that he would be running in the Democratic primaries in an online campaign video posted to Twitter.

Jubaland is strategic to us. It is where Al Shabab attack us from. We need a president who will safeguard our own interests. These aren't Uhuru's decision, the NIS works in the best interests of this country. It's like our CIA.Madobe ticks it for us in Jubaland. Moi knew how to use our intelligence well, no wonder he stayed in power for almost 20 years plus. I'm not so sure about Uhuru.

Intermarrying was the strategy of Emperor Menelik. He intermarried Oromos and Amharas of the Shewa. Being Shewa Amhara means being Oromo partially. My dad is shewa Amhara. He speaks fluent Oromiffa but he is still Amhara respectful of the Oromo culture and vice versa.
