My uncle has refused to use eye glasses.
He can see very well and can still read but he can only read very small prints when the room is very bright and i mean extremely bright or if a bright torch light is directed at the pages of a book with small print.
But if the print is large he can read it easily with little or no light.

Your uncle is eliciting a presbyopic symptom. it's expected with his age. let him go see an optometrist.

You can be a little luck if your eye sight is going to be corrected if not sorry.
I used glass in jss1 and it made my eye enter inside a little bit due to constant wearing then at the end of my jss3 my father told me he is not going to buy another glass for me because I have spoilt like five.
I resumed school for ss1 and people considered me ugly because of my shrunken eye.
Well it changed back to normal after some time, I just graduated and I know because I looked at the pictures I took.

What I am saying here is even if you are using glasses, don't wear it all the time, only wear it when you need it like looking at the board or if someone is far and waving at you and you want to see the person's face

I had to start using glasses for my PC. Am still young. I don't wanna damage my eyes. I thank God the itching of my eyes had stopped.

Note: I didn't get a recommended glasses. just a normal glasses.

Pls my eyes is allergic to light/brightness. I can't drive in the night once another vehicle flash light, at night I can't stay in a room with fluorescent light, I can't walk under the sun, etc. Also I can't read tiny letters like most Bible print and if I force my eyes to see it I will experience sharp and severe pain in my eyes. And most of the symptoms list by op I experience them but I'm afraid/dislike wearing glasses, any drugs to treat my eyes?

Bro their is really nothing you can do except to get glasses.

If your own case of myopia is from birth like mine,then its genetic,just see a doctor who could prescribe the correct lense for you

It's not from birth, I used to sit at the back during my sec schl days, but now even in front of LT, I do have blurry vision

Well u don't seem to have a problem,
Just get glasses for some time ,it will correct ur vision permanently since it was not from birth.

By the way avoid ,using ur phone late into the night, it could be what's causing ur blurred vision

Read a lot on presbyopia and i now understand all he needs are reading glasses.

What about the hereditary type? Can that one be corrected cos am in that category. It was dormant till it got woken up by too much TV and phone. Being using glasses since 2012,but my vision is still the same or will I say getting worse.

You should go see an optometrist. if you don't want to wear glasses there is also contact lenses option.

Try seeing an optometrist, maybe it might be a case of progressive myopia.

Refractive errors are abit more complex than that

For example, patients with high myopia, hyperopia and high astigmatism can have poor vision both at far and near.

But generally, patients with good near vision (both sitting close to TV and reading at very close range) all points to myopia

Uncle optometrist I'm getting tired of using my glasses, so sometimes I don't use it. This is the fifth glasses I'm using since I started using glasses and trust me when I say I still experience headaches and sometimes I become dizzy.
Just of recent I almost fell off the staircase case I became dizzy and my vision was really blur.
Now I'm seriously praying my children don't have my my kinda eye issue(but they can inherit my shinny brown iris).
I'm tired of doctor's appointment without results, so what can I do on my own.
