Yoruba's are jealous of us, aren't we igbos doing better even in Lagos buying lands from Yoruba people building houses and renting it out to Yoruba people? We are the reason Lagos is developed, we are the highest revenue generators in Lagos importing and exporting doing businesses around Lagos you yoruba's are jealous
You see what we say that chest beating is in their gene. IMHO any party that presnts a SE presidential candidate will lose 100%, any party that presents a SE VP is reducing it's chances of winning. The north has not forgotten what happened when Jonathan was VP and how he failed to honour the agreement when he became president.
SE is toxic and a liability right now politically

Let's say afonja presents Tinubu or osibanjo as president and choose a northerner. then PDP fields atiku vs obi again ,do u think APC will win ? just be honest, remember the only reason buhari won is because of kano and katsina, they just love buhari naturally ,I stayed in north I know it. and even after all rigging ,it was only 3 m vote difference ,even PDP collected more votes in south west. and know this a northerner will never vote Yoruba man ahead of northerner ... so the only option is this ,is either APC brings out a candidate from south east ,as early as 2020 and start campaigning for him to be known throughout the north.with the support of buhari and tinubu them he might win...then even if PDP brings out a northerner ... it will be tough because the whole south will automatically becomes APC and with a reasonable votes from northerner VP candidate of APC .this nation will get back again. this is just my observation .IF APC FIELDS IGBO MAN, A YORUBA MAN HAS NO OPTION THAN TO VOTE ..IM TELLING U GUYS .. THIS IS THE HONEST TRUTH ... LEADER OF APC IS A YORUBA MAN.

How many states were controlled by CPC that made ACN to cede power to CPC block in 2015? Why didn't you square up with GEJ instead of supporting Buhari. Don't worry, by 2023 when Buhari is no longer on the ballot, we will see how you intend to defeat NORTH/SE/SS

We supported Jonathan in 2011 because of the need to carry the minorities along and based on the agreement that he would serve for a single term. In 2015, Jonathan refused to honor the single term arrangement after serving for close to 6 years. We had no choice than to support the return of power to the north in respect of the rotational arrangement.

In 2023 southerners in APC will ensure the party’s ticket is zoned to the south. It is now left for those of you in PDP to do same. We also have lots of northerners who are in support of respecting the rotational arrangement. The north has not said they want to retain power. The only region trying to force the retention of power in the north out of spite is the south east and they shall be disgraced as usual.

When I read comments like this, it just weakens my bones. Nigeria has the likes of Prof Moghalu, Akin Adesina, prof Osinbajo, NOI, Peter Obi etc. But whenever elections are discussed, the only feasible names that keep popping up are Atiku, Kwankwaso, Tambuwal, Wike, Tinubu, El Rufai etc. Kaiii... Nigeria is just doomed for failure.

You still have hope for Nigeria?

Nigeria is doomed already my friend

You can't argue about what I just said cause you know it's true

The reality is that Igbos do own some houses and properties in Lagos, but the vast majority of Igbos in Lagos and the rest of the SW are still tenants just like other tribes too. Most of the properties in Lagos and SW still belong to people from the SW. Those are just the FACTS.
In my Estate, we have many Igbo landlords but most of the owners are Yorubas from Lagos and other SW States. I have 3 good Igbo tenants, even though some are scared of renting to Igbos I have always had very good experiences with them.

If you are indeed, force PDP to present Peter Obi and see if he won't get high votes in SW.

at least you've made it clear that you people are inconsequential and at the same time a coward who can only hide behind your northern masters to make your opinion known instead of coming out to face your perceived worst enemy and brawl it out. What we did in 2015 is known as 'strategizing for the future'. Even a dead rat would have won that m.o.ronic President Jonathan. The useless thing was a disgrace to intellects worldwide that the power all over the world was against hime. He was such a scum of a leader.
Right on, No wonder a certificateless president won a so called phd holder Jonathan a balless ex-president.

Atiku lost because he stood no chance against a buhari.
I know people that would have voted for PDP if it was anybody but atiku.
In fact Peter obi helped him massively in the south in galvanising intelligent southern votes and Igbo and SS votes everywhere.
Atiku got over a million votes in akwa ibom. No Yoruba candidate can do that for him.

If peter obi ran for President, those bagages of corruption that affected atiku would not be there.

let me give you an example that will highlight Atiku's tactical error in giving peter OBi the VP slot and the mathematics of elections.

lets say you are in a class and contesting for class president, there are 6 voters and 2 candidates (you and your rival lets call him Shehu)

Your rival seems to have 3 votes and you have 2, the 6th person (lets call him Chike) hates Shehu your rival and will never vote for him come rain come sunshine. The problem is that even though Chike is your guy, he may or may not turn up to vote but if you can incentivize Chike he will definitely turn up and vote for you. As it stands you are going to lose. One of Shehu's supporters Remi is a disenchanted and undecided but will likely vote for Shehu if nothing changes. You have a carrot of deputy class president to offer, who do you offer it to?

your answer will determine your understanding of how elections work.

if you give the slot to chike, the vote is 3 3 but if you give the slot to Remi the vote now becomes 3-2 in your favour and if Chike actually votes it becomes 4-2 in your favour. I hope you now understand the power of taking votes from your opponent.

Election is mathematics, Atiku and PDP chose sentiment. it was always going to be difficult to unseat Buhari but he shot himself in the foot by choosing Peter Obi because peter Obi has no votes to offer, that PDP didnt already have

se and ss will jointly the power to the north ,and they will accept it for a price and what will the sw gain?

South-West will present its candidate under APC, let South-East preserved its own candidate under PDP. Then we meet at the polling booths. However, I know that South-East know that it cannot defeat South-West candidate at the polls, so I will not be surprised if South-East decline to produce one of its politicians as Presidential candidate but instead support another Northerner against a South-West candidate.

Losers will always be losers. We, the South-Westerners are waiting for you in 2023. We shall teach you POL 103: Political Strategy and Manipulation in African Contemporary Society.

the talk of an arrogant person...who told u, u can defeat d SE in polls...bcus u had d whole northern backing in 2015 doesn't make SW think they can win always...the North played along with u bcus they wanted Buhari to come advance their agenda at all means...check ur history&find out for itself that d SE has always had political edge whenever they seriously arise...

the North has always manipulated the SW to achieve their aims bcus the SW always sees d SE as a competition .
if truth must b told d SW has been greedy in this govt..wanting to grab everything at d expense of d other southern parts& robbing it on their faces...this other southern regions r watching keenly&waiting patiently to shine.

don't be deceived bcus the SW has played into f gran plans of the Fulanis (using d core north)..

the game is to put big differences btw d SW&SE...then ride on that to produce next president come 2023..bcus put parties will present a northerner in other to remain relevant.. and Knowing SE won't vote a SW&SW won't vote a SW ..then they will ride on it.

the thing the SS have scores to settle with d SW bcus of d way their brother was treated in&out of office.

the SS&SE has always aligned when it mattered most, history has always shown that& the North knows it.

so let's keep our fingers crossed as events unfold.

SE should sacrifice 2023 if APC zones presidency to SW.
This is an opportunity for PDP to take over power and that's what some characters like El Rufai is seeing hence the clamour for end of zoning.
It will be difficult for SW candidate to defeat Kwankwaso or Tambuwal in the north no matter who they pick as VP. There will be lots of cross carpeting if PDP picks from North in 2023....these politicians are greedy and would like to remain in power.
Both parties would play lots of mind games prior to their primaries.
PDP should take one popular and competent candidate from North and a VP from SS.
simple and short.let see how far the sw can go with their empty chest beating

Every successful Igbo man that has a house in Lagos or anywhere outside Igbo land first built a house in his village before building it anywhere else, visit villages in Igboland and see mansions with fences in our villages all over, the gate way to Nigeria is through Lagos and the sea port Lagos is like a market we are there doing business, the east is our home land and we are developing it as our homes, everything was destroyed in our region during Biafran war we bounced back and rebuild we are better than states that never went through what we went through
