Go back to school and study how Parliamentary system.
Now let me help you out.
As at that time, Nigeria was practising Parliamentary system of government.
Under the system, the party with the highest number of seats would be the ruling party. The ruling party would choose one among their elected members as Premier.
Zik was elected to represent Lagos at Western Assembly. He won, but his party came second in the election as regards number of seats. Action Group came first but they also didn't have the required number to be the ruling party since Ibadan parties and Benin and Delta parties cornered many seats.
Zik as the leader of NCNC aligned with some of the minority parties and independent candidates while Awolowo did same. But Awo had most of the minority parties supporting him. So he got the highest seats.

Zik lost out to head the assembly.

Are yoruba's not crooks? You are the ones manipulating the Nigerian system together with the northerners, both the northerners and the Southwest you people own oil wells in Biafra land, through connection of (who know who) do you think dangote or adenuga are honest business men? no it's all about manipulation of the system

Are Yoruba people not into fraud too? Your brothers do it and go as far as doing rituals just to succeed in the fraud business, we igbos just have the intellectual ability for it that's the difference between Yoruba fraudsters and Igbo fraudsters and we igbos can succeed in any part of the world,
UNA GO CARRY YORUBA MATTER FOR HEAD LIKE GALA UNTIL UNA FIND UNASELVES FOR ALAPOTOPOTO LOOKING LIKE SERVANTS AS YOU LOOKED BEFORE COMING TO LAGOS BEFORE 60's. mind you nobody go give una sorry asses 20 pounds again.

South-West will present its candidate under APC, let South-East preserved its own candidate under PDP. Then we meet at the polling booths. However, I know that South-East know that it cannot defeat South-West candidate at the polls, so I will not be surprised if South-East decline to produce one of its politicians as Presidential candidate but instead support another Northerner against a South-West candidate.

Losers will always be losers. We, the South-Westerners are waiting for you in 2023. We shall teach you POL 103: Political Strategy and Manipulation in African Contemporary Society.
one statement to highlight your stupidity. why didn't the south west present their candidate against GEJ? Why did they have to asslick the north to gain political relevance? PDP presidential candidate come 2023 is a northerner. Tinubu can never rule the ZOO

Talking as if you are ready.
If you are indeed, force PDP to present Peter Obi and see if he won't get high votes in SW.
Thank you for bringing this angle.

You see, I do not belong to any party, neither are my arguments ethnise.

I have no problem with anybody being the president BUT do not go there and make life unbearable for the average Nigerian on the street like we have experienced since 2015.

Peter Obi that you mentioned, despite his clean record was almost marred by APC, throwing ethnic slur. Few pages before this one, we see a lot of Yorubas saying Igbos are not trusted.

But I will keep saying it... an average igbo man wants a good economy. That is all they care about because their life depend on it for survival. You can not compare that to someone in the North whose life is all about politics.

Peter Obi was supported by most igbos, not because he is Igbo but because of his track records in economic matters. Okorocha, Ikpeazu, Umahi can not get the kind of support Peter Obi had in the last election. My friend even declared that IF Atiku wins, he is willing to sponsor 2 persons to Dubai for holiday...

But as it is now, people who can really bring about the change we deserve (not desire cos we do not desire it in the first place) will NEVER become the president of this country ever again. You can choose to believe otherwise but the trajectory of this country has been shifted and that is because of the kind of politics APC inspires, while those who should know better are supporting them. I do not want to go into much details.

Either way, Nigeria is gone and gone for good and by 2023, I wonder what will be left. These days, while most of you are complaining about this or that, I am just indifferent because Nigerians do not desire a good country... they don't.

Now, we are hearing Tinubu to become next president... with mafia like way of handling Lagos and playing tribal politics, what can come out of it?

Either Peter Obi or Osibanjo is what I want... my opinion of Osinbajo is that he has a good intention but his hands are tied. I saw the few moves he smartly made to sell himself and I know he will deliver but my worry is WILL THEY ALLOW HIM?

The very first hand over they gave him, Nigeria became so peaceful in the South within 4 days... 4 forking days, The North didn't like that because it paled Buhari in comparison and they had to do the needful, reason why he has been almost ineffective ever since.

I am not sure most Nigerians are paying attention or they have forgotten, reason why they tag him a bad pastor if only they know he has no choice than to play along...

I would like an igbo man to rule Nigeria, it's about time (though he will perform better than any leader since 1999), He will generally fail because Nigeria is rigged to fail.

Power must return to southern Nigeria @ all costs because on average, Once the Fulani get another 8 years, they will never hand over power again, expect in an event of a military coup

Atiku lost because he stood no chance against a buhari.
I know people that would have voted for PDP if it was anybody but atiku.
In fact Peter obi helped him massively in the south in galvanising intelligent southern votes and Igbo and SS votes everywhere.
Atiku got over a million votes in akwa ibom. No Yoruba candidate can do that for him.

If peter obi ran for President, those bagages of corruption that affected atiku would not be there.
The same Peter obi that south east governors worked against? The same Peter obi that even pdp couldn't use his picture in the core north cos an average Hausa man sees Peter obi as another nnamdi kanu. If atiku had picked a VP from any other southern region he would still have an upper hand

Let's say afonja presents Tinubu or osibanjo as president and choose a northerner. then PDP fields atiku vs obi again ,do u think APC will win ? just be honest, remember the only reason buhari won is because of kano and katsina, they just love buhari naturally ,I stayed in north I know it. and even after all rigging ,it was only 3 m vote difference ,even PDP collected more votes in south west. and know this a northerner will never vote Yoruba man ahead of northerner ... so the only option is this ,is either APC brings out a candidate from south east ,as early as 2020 and start campaigning for him to be known throughout the north.with the support of buhari and tinubu them he might win...then even if PDP brings out a northerner ... it will be tough because the whole south will automatically becomes APC and with a reasonable votes from northerner VP candidate of APC .this nation will get back again. this is just my observation .IF APC FIELDS IGBO MAN, A YORUBA MAN HAS NO OPTION THAN TO VOTE ..IM TELLING U GUYS .. THIS IS THE HONEST TRUTH ... LEADER OF APC IS A YORUBA MAN.
Any party that field has igbo man will lose gallantly. That's y pdp gave them VP slot n it affected atiku because many northerners didn't vote atiku cos they see Peter obi as another nnamdi kanu

SS and SE supported OBJ ..

And see, if SW has projected Osibanjo at least after allowing GEJ finish his 8yrs, we would have join hand together after all he is a Christian and our brother.

Majority if SE youth care more about business, they don't see politics as that important, politicians don't have money, SE loves money....

So to them there is nothing to gain from being a politician.

But their SS brothers love it, and thats why they keep supporting them

But SW joined hand with the north and truncated GEJ out of office , now u said SW for the benefit of south

No it won't work na....

Lastly let me help.... What has osibanjo VP done for the west, what did obj President did for the west

What did GEJ Do for the SS.....

Presidency is just a shadow use for deceiving the common man

I am from the SW.

The man has spoken the truth.

I believe that SE should produce a very credible candidate that will be acceptable to all, not one of those already stained by official corruption. And then get a solid candidate from SW as vice.

That will re-write the political equation and may just be the answer to solving the political issue.

The last election with PMB and Atiku as the major candidates should be the last time ever that we are faced with such choices. Let them all go and rest now.

let me give you an example that will highlight Atiku's tactical error in giving peter OBi the VP slot and the mathematics of elections.

lets say you are in a class and contesting for class president, there are 6 voters and 2 candidates (you and your rival lets call him Shehu)

Your rival seems to have 3 votes and you have 2, the 6th person (lets call him Chike) hates Shehu your rival and will never vote for him come rain come sunshine. The problem is that even though Chike is your guy, he may or may not turn up to vote but if you can incentivize Chike he will definitely turn up and vote for you. As it stands you are going to lose. One of Shehu's supporters Remi is a disenchanted and undecided but will likely vote for Shehu if nothing changes. You have a carrot of deputy class president to offer, who do you offer it to?

your answer will determine your understanding of how elections work.

if you give the slot to chike, the vote is 3 3 but if you give the slot to Remi the vote now becomes 3-2 in your favour and if Chike actually votes it becomes 4-2 in your favour. I hope you now understand the power of taking votes from your opponent.

Election is mathematics, Atiku and PDP chose sentiment. it was always going to be difficult to unseat Buhari but he shot himself in the foot by choosing Peter Obi because peter Obi has no votes to offer, that PDP didnt already have

Just look at the huge pile of nonsense.
We wouldn't be talking this nonsense if buhari had not rallied the north on an anti southern bias.
