Press the key fob in a dim environment to see if the light blinks, if it doesn't replace the remote control's batteries (use original Panasonic). If remote is good, then your car's battery may have run down (parasitic drain), or a SAM is on leave.

If the first option fails, then...

You should have an IR port on the handle of the driver door.
Point your key very close to it, press n hold the open button on the remote key for some seconds...this should unlock the door.

no worry,when e don buy shocks 100k twice and work on the front legs twice at almost 200k,air issues,heating(which instantly kills the m271),flood,air conditioning which is very notorious in the w203,he will know he should have chosed another car over that machine.

I like how the gear fails almost instantly if you don't buy Mercedes star oil,original filters and steady going to the computer guy to reset gear so as to have proper movement.

All Mercedes Benz cars are NOT designed for speed racing or unholy waka. Treat your Benz well and it will treat you great. Join the Benzworld.org or mbworld.org and read up on what your mechanic will NOT or NEVER learn in two life times. And get yourself a good scanner... OBD2 eg launch CRP series.... And enjoy the Mercedes Benz. Don't swim if you can avoid it

Aside dt, I am still enjoying my beautiful ride.

I've had it for 5 years.
It can be a money pit if not properly maintained and the interior falls apart with age.
Suspension is also a major blow for this car as it will keep failing especially if where you live is untarred.
I will advise you go for a Lexus is250 since that is properly styled,is more recent and economical.
The c230k is an old car tbh...no longer keeping up with the times

Front legs na real problem for this our c230k.....my own area kon bad. How much u dey buy doz control arms and linkages....shock absorber too, d tyre sef too small, Rims too big, person go just dey feel shocks if person enter rough roads.

Na d only thing wey I no like about ds car b dt. These days if I over speed kon dey break, na serious vibrations.

Don't buy the 2004 model jare, the 2005 model is the upgraded version, seats, dashboard, entertainment system, are all upgraded and look nicer in the 2005 model.

I have been using my 2005 C230k since January, that car is too lovely compared to a 2005 Corolla of about the same price.

Don't open the roof cos the plastic materials might break, front seats tear and look messy easily, u can get a seat cover, handle gear shift with ease else it might break, u go need gum am with gum.
Shocks don't absorb so much like the Corolla cos of the 17 inches rim and 225/45 size tyres in the front (I am considering getting a 16 rim and 205/55 tyre for the front legs) once ur suspension parts go bad, o boy na spending to fix it nd its best to take it to good workshop like Radautoworks, etc

I change oil every 4 months, u can do twice a year, make use of 6 litres Fully synthetic Mobil 1 oil, costs like 23k, filter from 3k to 6k, 0w40 viscocity nd original filter....

The AC is good, very chilling, the car sounds good and intimidating on the road, I don't usually engage the Kompressor unless I want to intimidate other road users.

You might need to have a small car on the side lest u drive d Benz everywhere u go even if na 1km trip.

Be careful with the car, anything wey break or spoil underneat na money, Toks or new, na big money u go spend

Car is fuel econmical, Ibadan to Lagos, 2k fuel go carry u enter Berger, e go remain inside plenty sef, even with AC.


I've had no issue with heating or overheating since I got my lovely ride, don't let one foolish Kazeem remove your thermostat, dont2use water alone instead of Coolant for the radiator, be sure there are no leakages anywhere.

If you can afford the 2012 C250, it's a lot nicer ride dan the 2005 C230k.....na dt one dey my mind now once I sell this one.
