Now that's objectivity personified! A thorough objective analysis. Period.
As i said some pages back, another AFCON is almost here. Na 2021. The Rohr wey people dey expect say I'm go win the next AFCON , we dey wait. Maybe una go come fire am with 2 years to the next world cup then, we dey wait. Just bookmark this guys, no surprises when it comes to Gernot Rorh. Qualifications... a breeze! Actual tournament ... sour taste

Oil dey ur head. I am not expecting any magic from Rohr. Man is too timid to play to u our strengths. Just look at how he is wasting our fire power with his conservative, sorry, coward defensive football.

hahhahahahha......so good runs and looking sharp in training is about to result in an expulsion from the team ? I thought you said Brendan Rodgers is the God and will make him a super Suarez ? Take heart

I doubt Brendan Rodgers would want to let Iheanacho go. Nacho is the only out and out striker at Leicester City after Vardy. If Vardy burns out or injures, Nacho is the only true backup they have.

If by any chance Nacho is leaving, it will be Nacho himself wanting to go, not Brendan Rodgers kicking him out.

It will be a busy EMBER month for our national teams.

The All-African games 2019 with U20 Flying eagles & Super Falconets already in the final

The Golden Eaglets in U17 FIFA World Cup in Brazil
The U23 Eagles qualifiers for Olympics with Sudan
The Super Falcons qualifiers for Olympics with Algeria
The Super Eagles busy AFCON 2021 & World Cup qualifiers

The only thing that makes Rohr a decent coach is his man management skills .tactically he is bankrupt.. Man management skills can't win u titles....

Tunisian champions, Esperance unveil unknown Samuel Atavti

Atavti has sealed a three-year deal with Esperance

By Tunde Liadi

Tunisian giants Esperance have unveiled Samuel Pilla Atavti who sealed a three-year move
from neighbouring club, Stade Gabesien.

Atavti was captured by the TunisianLeague champions after he performed brilliantly for Stade Gabesien
last season despite not keeping them in the topflight this season.

He moved to Stade Gabesien after he was discovered during a tournament organised by his kinsman, Moses
Orkuma in Gboko, Benue last season.

Atavti was unable to spend a second season with Stade Gabesien because of their demotion to the lower league and the Tunisian FootballFederation rules and regulations that forbid foreigners from featuring in the lower league.

The right-back told SportingLife.ng that he is amazed at the turn of events in his budding career and that he will continue to do his best to ensure that he plays for the first team of Esperance.

“I was unveiled two days ago but I signed some days back,” Atavti told SportingLife.ng.

“I am grateful to God for his mercy and miracle in my life. I know that I still have a career in front of me. I will continue to give mybest.”

I have said before, the knowledge comes first before playing time. Having playing time and not improving in quality is detrimental to the player in the long run.

If Nacho feels he has gained enough knowledge and he wants an exodus to showcase his talent, he has my blessings. He has worked with Vieira, Pellegrini, Guardiola and Rodgers. All brilliant tacticians. If he feels he is ready, I encourage him to make the shot but move to a highly offensive side that will suit his play.

The word is evolve. There will be no highly offensive team to suit his play. He is the one that should adapt quickly to every system he finds himself. Anyone that fail to adapt with any system or any situation in life will be far left behind or out completely.

I advise he stays with Rodgers and continue learning. There is no end to learning. The benches of man city and Leicester city are very comfortable for learning.

Even if he grows grey hair on the bench learning, last last he will become a good coach and apply all that knowledge.

Joe Aribo on playing for Nigeria

"I will be nervous until I get comfortable around the rest of the squad and build friendships."

Nerves aside, Aribo says making the choice to play for Nigeria was an easy decision: "I had no hesitation.

"From when I was young I knew I wanted to play for Nigeria. So I was just happy to get the call up and it was the best decision I made really."

He is confident about the skillset he'd bring to the Nigeria camp, which has lost a couple of elder statesmen in recent months with the retirements of John Obi Mikel and Odion Ighalo.

Aribo says: "It is not like there aren't people who are doing it already, but I can bring energy into the team, getting the ball from deep and driving forward to get us up the pitch.

"I just love to be involved in and around the pitch and the position where you get most touches is centre midfield. That is where you can express yourself and that is why I love playing there."

But even at this early stage of his career, Aribo is thinking far ahead about what he wants to achieve a few years down the line.

"I would like to say I would have won the SPL and other trophies with Rangers. With Nigeria, I just want to play in the biggest tournaments, like the Africa Cup of Nations and the World Cup.

"That would be like a dream come true. That is what I have wanted since I was a child and it would be good to say that I was part of that."

Gernot Rohr has revealed that he recommended Arsenal striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang to Bordeaux while he was coaching the Gabonese national team but a transfer did not materialise.

The Super Eagles manager still holds close links with Bordeaux, where he spent 21 years, first as a player, then a coach, from 1977-1998, and tries to help the French Ligue 1 club behind the scenes to this day.

Bordeaux went on to sign another promising Gabon player Andre Poko recommended by Rohr after missing out on the signature of Aubameyang.

In an interview with Gold FM's Le Point G published by girondins33.com, Rohr stated : ''When I was coach of Gabon, I recommended Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang to Bordeaux, but it did not happen.

''On the other hand, there was one named André Poko , 18, who came for nothing and was sold expensive then.

''He made a mistake at the end (his picture smoking shisha dressed in a jersey of Olympique de Marseille, Ed), yes, but he was not very mature unfortunately and he should not be remembered for that because he has also done good things.

''In any case, I know a lot of quality players in Africa, so why not put it in the service of the Girondins. It would be with pleasure".

Since the appointment of Rohr as coach of the Super Eagles, Bordeaux have signed two Nigerian players in the shape of Samuel Kalu and Josh Maja.

Arsenal U21 coach Steve Bould has praised James Olayinka goalscoring ability after he opened his account for the season in a Leasing.com Trophy fixture against League Two side Northampton Town on Tuesday night.

On 78 minutes, Olayinka opened the scoring when he side-footed the ball home from close range after brilliant work from Folarin Balogun.

The Arsenal team which also contained Tolaji Bola, Joseph Olowu, Tobi Omole and Mazeed Ogungbo left the PTS Academy Stadium with a point after losing on penalties to the Cobblers.

On Olayinnka's goal, Bould told arsenal.com : ''We were forced backwards a little bit and we were finding it difficult to get out, even though we had a lot of the ball at the back, so it was a great goal.

''We had a couple of moments like that and perhaps didn’t test their keeper quite enough, but I think it’s been a really, really good experience for everybody''.

The 18-year-old Olayinka has been tipped to make his senior debut for the Gunners this season having trained and played three matches for the first team in pre-season.

The plan of coach Gernot Rohr of the senior national team of Nigeria to beat Germany to the services of highly rated right full back Felix Agu has suffered a setback following his invitation by the U21 of Germany.

Agu who plays for VFL Osnabruck had talks with the coach of the senior national team of Nigeria on the possibility of replacing Benfica Tyrone Ebuehi in the squad of Nigeria for the upcoming friendly game against Ukraine and he will was willing to commit to the game.

However his call up to the U21 team of Germany has put a halt to the plans as he is willing to honour the call up to represent Germany in their upcoming friendly game against Greece on the 5th of September and European Championship qualifiers against Wales.

Already he has informed Rohr of his decision but he is still open to the idea of representing Nigeria in the future particularly if he fails to progress through the youth ranks of Germany.

Speaking on his invitation to the German team, the 19 year old said ” For me the invitation by national team coach Stefan Kuntz is a huge honour. The U21 of Germany has developed strongly in recent years, many Bundesliga players are part of the team, so I was overwhelmed by the call and I am looking forward to the games”, Agu said.

Why is there no discussion about Caleb Okoli? He plays for Atalanta Fc in Italy, Iweru of Juventus and Lukas Nmecha of man city but presently on loan with Wolfsburg.

Why is there so much concentration on Nigerians playing in England? You have lots of young Naija players in Italian teams, German teams and Portuguese teams? And no one monitors them.
Why so much concentration from these overhyped English teams?

If I were the coach of the Naija super eagles, I won’t pick any player who plays in the English championship except Semi Ajayi. If you can’t make it to any of the 20 premiership team, then you have no place in the eagles.

Paul Onuachu has revealed he was left very frustrated before his transfer to Belgian champions Genk finally came through.

The 25-year-old Nigeria striker has agreed a contract until 2024 with Genk after protracted negotiations with Danish club FC Midtjylland.

He revealed he was frustrated while the move took a longer time, but he remained calm.

“I was a bit frustrated because I wanted to come and had to wait and wait. But I have continued to believe in it and continue to work,” he said.

“I am very happy because I have been looking forward to it since day one.”

Onuachu also said he discussed the proposed move to Belgium with former Genk star Wilfred Ndidi, who encouraged him to accept the deal.

“He (Ndidi) told me a lot about the club. Here I will be able to develop myself as a player, “said Onuachu, who will play with the number 18.

The Genk new striker further stated that he is equally good at scoring goals with his leg despite his height.

“I am very tall, but also good with my feet. My strength is in the box, “Onuachu said at his press presentation.
