As soon as I read that chorus I felt like I could hear the girls singing it.

The problem was that I was certain that it's not a 2001 song. That song was released in the early 1980s.


And then I remembered that Sonny Okosun sang that song, but I still couldn't remember the name of the song.


I think I have it now. The song is called Together (or Togetherness, or something like that).

Thank you for this, providing the original version of the song. I am very much delighted.

But on my request, I actually watched the video, for the first time, on one of the national television in late 2001 or early 2002. The video track I was talking about was sang by up to 10 Nigeria Musicians representing major tribes in Nigeria (Yoruba, Hausa, Igbo). I am very sure of Pasuma, Sunny Neji, Christy Essen, etc. I think Chris Okotie is there too and I am very sure Sunny Okosuns was that takes the vocal lead. I just got to know why now. Seriously, that song was more personalised for Nigeria/Nigerians and the video lasted for about 5 minutes or so.

Thank you once again. I may take it from here and see if I can get that very video track I am talking about.

If we can't get that one, I think we will make do with this then.

It's the same song but a remix was done circa 2000, 2001 sir with an all-star group of musicians, and Sunny Okosun's son did another remix around 2014
