Expecting the MCU to announce a standalone villain film.
By the book "Copy cats"
At least even with our missteps, D.C has been creative with their projects.
Can't say the same for Marvel with their generic, safe, easy-to-forget films with mostly the same tone.

You come across as an atheist, or at least as a poser. I wonder if you would go and run your mouth around 90% of Nigerians, knowing they are also as violently intolerant as you are and will have no problem with handling your madness with factory resetting slaps.

Intolerance is always justified until you are on the receiving end.

the youth leader in my town is an atheist, and everyone is okay with it. where I live in the east, atheism is wildly accepted. atheim is not a crime as far as I know, I know this as a christian. they are just like christians in behaviour except they don't go to church or believe in god. there is nothing taboo about not believing in god or gods.

homosexuality meanwhile is a blight to the natural order, and is a crime in many parts of the world including 9ja. don't be foolish to compare atheism & theism to homosexuality. they are not the same.

Sure about that? The people who decided to basically kidnap this fellow felt just like you. They considered his stance to be a blight.

They are also from your side. They are brazenly kidnapping the fellow. That is not the mark of tolerance you are claiming

Like I said , intolerance is only visible on the other side. The perpetrator will always find a way to justify his actions.

Unfortunately we only have your word. You are not exactly an honest person. The brazenness of the act, and the widespread support and celebration it received when discussed on nairaland, says otherwise.

Are we not hearing politicians loudly proclaiming their states are of a particular religious persuasion? Are we not seeing their supporters cheering?

Those people who celebrated are just like you. Violent and Intolerant . It is because of people like you There world is so much misery in the world. You think the nazis were any different? Atheism is taboo in Nigeria. Especially in the North.you have been given the case of Bala who was locked up in an asylum as an example.

As for the East, I can very well tell you that the East is far more Christian than the South. You will be ostracized as an atheist in the East.

Guy, your comments truly betray your IQ. I hope you receive sense one day.

Lol.....can the people you are talking about afford to buy the comic books?

Some of them are only marvel or DC fanboys because they see others doing it.

You think that people who only know how to download pirated movies on their infinity and techno phones are comic book fans? The same set of people that come here to learn about the backstories of their comic characters rather than googling it for themselves?

Apathy is the word for many Nigerians.

Birds of the same IQ flock together.

Ishilove was in support of the harassment meted upon Atheist Bala.

Bala was locked up in an asylum by his family because he claimed to be an atheist. It took international humanists and atheists to save him.

Dark Phoenix

3 / 10

Disappointment abounds...

Firstly, Sophie Turner was just NOT it...! Overall the movie just seemed like one low budget skrep... From the terrible uniforms to the depressing lines... Found myself fast forwarding all through the movie... Almost the same feeling I experienced while watching Wonder Woman back then, only difference is this Dark Phoenix didn't make me want to pull out my eyes flush them down the toilet... That WW movie is something I can never unsee... Very traumatic experience

3 / 10 rating for Dark Phoenix

MCU movies are not exactly emotive. They are comedies masquarading as superhero films. They will make you laugh, but will neither make you think nor reflect. They don't intellectually stimulate, at all. Humor is the central motif, and while it's not necessarily a bad thing, it often takes the bite out of an emotive premise. This is where a darker, more poignant, bleaker, and utterly depressing premise could work best.

I like MCU, but their films are shallow AF. I crave a dark and uncensored superhero film, and if DCEU should go that route, I'm all in... sign me up.

Chai God u wicked oohh. See as u finish MCU!! grin

John Wick- Parabellum

First fight saw my jaw connecting solidly with the ground (who would have thought you can kill a human being with a library book?! I don't have the testicular fortitude to try such moves cheesy). Second fight had me howling. By the third fight scene, I was almost ready to faint.

I watched the fight scenes featuring the dogs several times because the animals were like hairy, four legged soldiers. Wish I had animals like them. Their presence will deter those pesky kids from knocking on my gate and running off. angry

By the end of the movie I was emotionally drained. The movie is so gritty, tense and action packed that I couldn't keep my eyes off my screen. Whew!

My only issue with this movie is this- How come men who get kicked in the balls seem to recover very fast?? I'm not a man, but I have been elbowed in the breast before and mehn did it hurt like hell. I hear a kick to the testicles is sheer torture so it amazes me how come John Wick's opponents recover very quickly.

Be that as it may, this movie surpassed my expectations and I eagerly anticipate the 4th installation.

9/10

I'd rather rate this movie 4/10.

Aside from the "Adjudicator" whose accent, gait & command of english gives me an erection, the movie is not worth the hype.

They sent close to 500 guys (if not more) bearing arms after you - and none of them could put a bullet in your skull - even at close range?

There were even moments when some of his assailants had close shots of killing him with sword and they would suddenly pause and say: Mr. Wick, get up and let's start all over. grin

Why? Because actor no dey die! grin

There are only 3 movies that have never been rivaled by any other movie I have ever seen.

1.) The Count of Monte Cristo (2002) - Jim Caviezel, Guy Pearce & Dagmara Domińczyk

2.) Saint (1997) - Val Kilmer & Elisabeth Shue

3.) Spy Game (2001) - Robert Redford & Brad Pitt

The only movie that came so close to matching these 3 movies was "Operation Red Sea (2018)". grin

I was pausing the movie to smoke a stick of cigarette every 20minutes or thereabout just to suppress my adrenalin rush - but for where? grin

Honestly, Hollywood is becoming more & more boring by the day.

This is just my opinion by the way.

This list geniunely warms my heart. DC have much grittier stuffs than Marvel, and thus should strive to thoroughly capitalize on these. Constraining their ardent themes to pretentious PG-13 grubs haven't accommodated them well since TDK trilogy.

Anticipating more R rated DC contents from WB.

Should be dubbed "The Aging of The Machines". Sarah Connor (Linda Hamilton) and Schwarzenegger look old AF. I have a bad feeling about this. Anytime an R rated content exceeds $100m production cost, I ken instinctively we're in for loads of fancy VFX, weak plot lines, and little to no characterizations. It's a pattern that have reiterated itself more times than I can count. Don't wanna rain on anyone's parade, but I'ma call it right now, this movie is gonna suck balls in the BO, and suck even harder in the review boards.

Nonsense mixed with truths and half truths.

The mass shootings occur in America more than any other developed country for the following reasons;

1. Availability of guns and gun culture. Compared to Europe, getting guns in the US is easy. The gun culture as well is to blame. When people have guns, they will shoot. Some think they are in the wild wild west as cowboys. Even the police in America are trigger happy.

2. Drugs, failed healthcare and mental care. When you have mad people and guns, chaos happens. The US healthcare system is driven by profits unlike the EU where it is government run and heavily regulated. The lack of regulations in the US leads to over prescription of certain mind bending drugs by doctors to patients. Drugs companies want to sell drugs by any means. Furthermore, mental health is expensive in the us compared to EU where healthcare is free.

3. Overall stupidity of the average American. For a developed country, America ironically boasts of a very poor public school education system. Then there is the issue of stupidity caused by excessive christianity. There is a significant portion of the American populace that believes in guns. Bibles and guns. They see guns as a necessity. They have been brainwashed by a religion and an education that guns are a necessary part of life

4. Polarisation of the political system. Democrats vs Republicans. Christians vs gays and abortion clinics. Conservatives vs immigrants. Pro life vs pro choice. Obama was the antichrist and Trump is a Nazi. Hatred that leads to violence.
