Deuteronomy 14:22-26 KJV
Thou shalt truly tithe all the increase of thy seed, that the field bringeth forth year by year. [23] And thou shalt eat before the Lord thy God, in the place which he shall choose to place his name there, the tithe of thy corn, of thy wine, and of thine oil, and the firstlings of thy herds and of thy flocks; that thou mayest learn to fear the Lord thy God always. If You are been led by the Holy Spirit to stop drinking or taking alcohol then you have to stop it cos if You drink it henceforth it becomes a sin that will lead to your downfall as a Christian...

All things God created was good but note this that there are some tree e.g "apple from the forbidden tree in the garden of Eden" God will warn you not to taste cos the moment you start taking or romancing them will trigger God's separation from You.

I pray God helps our Christian faith to be stronger everyday

Jesus and the disciplines drank alcohol. Paul said drink a little wine for the stomachs sake. You must know your limit though and you must never exceed your limit.

@op We are beyond that now. Recent researches and WHO have proven that taking alcohol no matter how little will surely lead to one's demise quicker than expected.

The goal now is zero alcohol intake.

There is no place in the Bible that condemned it outrightly. It will become when u take it in excess (drunk) and start misbehaving...Just drink the way u won't get drunk ....Generally, excessive in most things are sin....

Haba, this is something you should figure urself. At the wedding in Canaan the people drank alcohol.

A little alcohol in a while play a bigger role in your healthy living. Ur digestive enzymes contains alcohol.

In fact you need to take alcohol but not always for ur body fluids to flow well
While driving please don't drink much, don't get drunk, don't drink too much on a spot.

Alcohol is good for ur health, it's just that religion have converted everyone of you to slowpoke

You need to first find out what is a sin. If not... you will be asking about every thing. Is it a sin to not trim your hair?.... is it a sin to go to the movies?.... is it a sin to look at my neighbour's wife?..os it a sin to be on NL on Sundays?... but you're quick to shout you're a Christian.

Leviticus 10:9 New International Version (NIV)

“You and your sons are not to drink wine or

tent of meeting, or you will die. This is a
lasting ordinance for the generations to come,
Leviticus 10:9 in all English translations

“Speak to the Israelites and say to them: ‘If a
man or woman wants to make a special vow,
a vow of dedication to the LORD as a Nazirite,
they must abstain from wine and other
fermented drink and must not drink vinegar
made from wine or other fermented drink. They
must not drink grape juice or eat grapes or

The bible didn't condemn it but it offered a substitute to it. It said instead of you being filled with wine which in itself is excessive, be filled with the Holy Spirit. Now it is left to you to apply wisdom. Which one do you think will profit you.

So many great guys in the bible drank alcohol. Even Jesus too changed water to wine and was known to drink and eat with strangers and sinners. And yes, Jesus drank alcohol that's why some people accused him of being a drunk and a glutton in Mathew 11:19.

Even getting drunk and sleeping as u said is not a sin, but if it becomes addictive and takes the place of worship in your life then it is a sin as you are placing alcohol over God.

Be free from these gods of men. Most of them are empty vessels. Study the word of God yourself, read and meditate for a discerning spirit. Nothing is more beautiful than being a free true christian. It is a beautiful religion!!!.
why do you people twist the bible just to support your ungodly opinions ? Ahnahn.... So You really meant Jesus too alcohol? Ahhhhh .... I can see you really know the bible ..wow... No argument o. I hail u

Let beer be for those who are perishing, wine for those who are in anguish! Proverb 31 :6. The Bible clearly states when to take alcohol, if you don't want to perish don't take. Simply put alcohol is a sin.

Go and read Deuteronomy 14:23-29. You will see that even the money you are giving to pastor as tithe is meant for alcohol/beer/strong drink/wine
23 Eat the tithe of your grain, new wine and olive oil, and the firstborn of your herds and flocks in the presence of the LORD your God at the place he will choose as a dwelling for his Name, so that you may learn to revere the LORD your God always. 24 But if that place is too distant and you have been blessed by the LORD your God and cannot carry your tithe (because the place where the LORD will choose to put his Name is so far away), 25 then exchange your tithe for silver, and take the silver with you and go to the place the LORD your God will choose. 26 Use the silver to buy whatever you like: cattle, sheep, wine or other fermented drink, or anything you wish. Then you and your household shall eat there in the presence of the LORD your God and rejoice. 27 And do not neglect the Levites living in your towns, for they have no allotment or inheritance of their own. 28 At the end of every three years, bring all the tithes of that year’s produce and store it in your towns, 29 so that the Levites (who have no allotment or inheritance of their own) and the foreigners, the fatherless and the widows who live in your towns may come and eat and be satisfied, and so that the LORD your God may bless you in all the work of your hands.

Look at this one. It's people like you I hate. You go about with false doctrine and boast as if that is exactly what the Bible teach. You are even subtly telling people to stay away from pastors. Now let's examine your claim.

Which great guys drank alcohol? Perhaps, you think the word wine means alcohol Everytime it is mentioned.

Jesus didn't drink wine, he was only falsely accused of being a drunkard. Let's see the passage clearly.

Luke 7:33-34 King James Version (KJV)
33 For John the Baptist came neither eating bread nor drinking wine; and ye say, He hath a devil.
34 The Son of man is come eating and drinking; and ye say, Behold a gluttonous man, and a winebibber, a friend of publicans and sinners!

John was only eating locust and wild honey, he didn't like normal food. For that, they said he had a devil. Did John have a devil? No. This means he was falsely accused.

Jesus loved normal food and drink etc eater, non-alcoholic wine, but those false accusers called him a glutton and a drunkard. According to you, because those people accused Jesus if drinking alcohol, then it means he use to drink it. Why not also believe it when they said he was a drunkard and a glutton?

There is nothing like "Non alcoholic wine" all wines are alcoholic. Those you call non alcoholic are fruit juices.
So if Jesus turned water to wine it's alcoholic and he did it for people to drink not to be stared at or for pigs, it's for humans and he won't do that is it was a sin to drink alcohol.
