Very silly people. I once tried to take a loan and I was told that my credit history doesnt tally. That I had not used any credit (credit card) for the past 1 year, hence I can't get the loan. This is meant to be a positive impact (layman opinion), that I don't depend on credit. Capitalist Economies will always expect you to owe and that's a policy I don't get to understand.

To show track record that when you owe, you are responsible enough to pay back. The more you owe, the more they are willing to chase you to come collect more - customer (mugu/fool) daaadaa

STOCK MARKET GUIDE FOR 2 SEPT 2019
Friday has low activity from the side of the fund, but still a net buyer, bought Dangsugar, ETI, OANDO etc. Selling side were Dangcem, GTB, Nestle etc. This week is likely to be for Access Bank, but if U have not bought, it may already be late.

Caution: This is for information purpose only. Data used are assumed to be correct. However, you may want to verify the data from an appropriate source. Also, Institutions can afford to suffer big losses without going burst compared with an individual, you cannot follow them blindly (you need to at least have some knowledge/your own plan). In my personal opinion, I think there is a special reason why Access bank result is not yet out. Maybe because its too bad or because its too good, but its definitely not for the reason they gave us that its due to post merger bla bla bla.
Result that had already been audited and presented to the board for approval since July and subsequently presented to CBN for approval. They should come with another story joor.
I just hope the delay is because the result is too good for this bear market, cos I dey heavy for there. Na the biggest part if my portfolio.

Maybe CBN rejected it because it was not properly cooked grin

As my broker explained to me 20ish yrs ago. if you have never borrowed and paid back in full and on time, how do any new lender develop a trust relationship with you?

Majority of employees and corporate executives who are earning millions of naira as dividends used loans to buy shares.

The new CEO of Zenith Bank increased his holdings by 30 million units in the last 12 months, he must have taken a loan to do that.

Kunle Alake increased his Dangote cement shares by over 2 million units in the last 9 months.

The most important thing is that you should not bite more than you can chew.

After witnessing what the 2007 crash did to some debtors, I vowed never to collect interest bearing loan to buy stocks

[Is it MSCI that's exiting UACN like this? shocked[/quote]

MSCI only buys dividend paying equities. The only time you will see non-dividend paying stock in their portfolio is when they were caught by the bear inside the stock, and looking at the quantity of share they hold selling the huge quantity may not be easy (that is why you still see the likes of OANDO in the portfolio).

Below was the position of the portfolio as at 29 August 2019, from morningstar.com.
