STOCK MARKET GUIDE FOR 5 SEPT2019 Wednesday, MSCI bought sold GTB and Dangcem/ bough only small quantity of one stock. Fund now on a net seller. Wait for better entry in the light of the bears brought by the SA issues. Our buying should be minimal until the bearish momentum from this xenophobia issue is over. We cannot be too wrong on the side of the fundamentals, still stay with only fundamentally good equities only. Caution: This is for information purpose only. Data used are assumed to be correct. However, you may want to verify the data from an appropriate source. Also, Institutions can afford to suffer big losses without going burst compared with an individual, you cannot follow them blindly (you need to at least have some knowledge/your own plan). I smile when I observe the current 'play' in DF. I can sense the desperation to get the present holders to give up on their stake. Though I currently do not hold the stock, I would'nt exit now if I were in. ...especially if one had keyed in @ a fine discount to the N24 buy out peg. That's an asset with a short-term guaranteed 20% ROI @ the current mkt price. An ACTUAL RETURN u'll never get... even in the fixed income space. Like I said in the past; Unless ur a technical expert with a tested and reliable trading strategy(which will still have limitations), its better to align ur funds with what is a seeming possibility in DF(actual return) than a seeming probability in a different coy(expected return). ...considering the volatile nature of the market at this time. Instead of selling off DF, I'd rather 'secure it' and look for additional fund to play other coys. So to those who are still holders, worry not !! When 'the backdoor manipulators' are done with their gimmicks, those who know why they're in, will still reap their reward. I would've thought that by now, they will sell and push the price down to N18 so folks can accumulate more. ...but instead they are camping with 'prototype virtual vols' @ near 10% premium to the ref price of N20 on the offer side of trade. ...before mopping up any 'fear' that's created from depressed pricing. I have observed a similar trend in AIICO, ZENITH, ACCESS and a few other stocks accross board. Remember; "The stock market is like an unending race with plenty of obstacles and more 'virtual than real spectators' running with u. ...but along the way, it ALWAYS rewards those who 'can see through the other side of those obstacles' and run it WITHOUT tiring out." ~Sinclair 1 Like |

Who else has just noticed how the bid side of trade volume for UPDC has reduced drastically, while that of UACN has increased by over the same measure. Maybe some 'predator buyers' have noticed what we've been saying that its far much better to align with the latter than the former, WITH OR WITHOUT the proposed unbundling. With UACN, there is VALUE !! |

onegentleguy: Absolutely... Your bolded statement cannot be over-emphasized. As stated severally earlier, with UACN, you will have your share of the AT the current price of N4.90, UPDC REIT's last dividend paid will give you a dividend yield of not less than 10%! Real value indeed! |

Princkez: The problem is that some folks seem to be given so much undue attention to the proposed MTO of FORTE OIL. What they forget is that WITH or WITHOUT the MTO, FO is a strong BUY !! The current mkt price is a great route to VALUE !! The proposed MTO(if and when it does materialize) will ONLY be an added bonus.(benefit) It is well !! |
