71% RT rating ain't what I would call underwhelming, but I agree with you totally, fuck_ the critics.

You do realize that Hotel Mumbai was a true story and not the regular "Singing Love Songs or Adding Punjabi wedding Color Riot" Indian flick.
Of course!
and hope you know their are true life War Indian movies with Love songs of a thing in them ?

Well considering the fact that chapter one sits at 86% on RT I feel that this chapter two failed to meet the standard of it's predecessor hence the drop, but you are correct, 71% can still be considered fresh, and moreover it's pennywise the dancing clown grin who apparently dances no more but rather spends his leisure fvcking up an entire town. cool

The 71% is from early reviews though. It will either increase or decrease when more reviews start pouring in tomorrow. It's early days. It may yet surpass the First Chapter's 2 year old 86% RT rating. Personally, I don't give a hoot about the reviews. I just wanna see Pennywise again. cheesy

Premium rush..6.7/10
Genre:Action, Crime, Thriller

Plot was basically simple & nothing great. Visuals were good, editing, acting & directing were also good. I simple loved the added touch of realism the flick had.
Overall, it was a good fast paced action thriller & i thoroughly enjoyed it for what it was.

it's see ur own script, mr armchair critic

I don't need to write mine, as there are currently 2 Xmen animated series that did justice to the Dark Phoenix story. Why didn't they just stick to the original source material they already have. My point is that am not criticising for criticism sake, am doing so because I was disappointed owning to the fact that i expected something better, based on what I've previously seen.

At least it will be better than the two laughable miniseries done in the 90's, i have never wanted a remake especially for horror films but once I saw how bland and stupid the miniseries were, i just had to wish for this and i'm glad to see James McAvoy is finally getting some recognition, the guy is an amazing actor

Thugs of Hindostan (2018)

It's surprising how the audience and critics rated this movie low. It makes me wonder whether I am still of sound of mind to have enjoyed the effort as much as I did. It may not be up there with the classics from the leads (Aamir Khan, Amitabh Bachan, Katrina Kaif) however, it's definitely not as poor as ratings depict it.
One very vivid element missing in these pictures is the type emotion that is known with most successful bollywood movies. Still a wonderful piece to watch though

bollywood aren't that Good when it come to action movies with lot of violence and gory scene, but I'll give it to them when it's emotional driven and love themed. curiosity is one of the greatest tool toward transformation if back up with innovative moves nd the rest.
I have seen a lot of bollywood movies but this one sweep me off, yet it has just one music(no dance) scene and a unique story line I haven't seen before.

I may check this out. I have been sceptical about it because it is a Malayalam movie and not Bollywood that I have come to love over a period of time.

IT: Chapter Two.

Visual spectacle, but lacking quite a bit storywise. The longish meandering plot felt marginally off. Damn thing didn't flow or have any particular rhythm to it. Blows hot one moment, and the next cold, albeit the great 3rd act had some of the most ingenuous scenes. More importantly, the principal theme (horror) must have got lost in the trainwreck of first and second act, for I sure as hell wasn't crept out by the numerous jumb scares.

That said, the actors had chemistry and delivered, esp James McAvoy. He was heads and shoulder above everyone in this film. The scene where he tried to convince Pennywise to take him was an acting masterclass... it felt real. Second best was Bill Skaargard. He was brilliant, despite Pennywise not getting enough screentime.

Overall, I am satisfied with the ending, albeit not thrilled with the plot, in that it's not as good as the first. Anyhoo, it's a decent conclusion more or less.
