A city like Abuja does woefully bad on the last three, even Mombasa beats it. In other words, if somorobo sat down and made a list of things that attract him to a city, then his choices would match those of Nairobi than it would Algiers.

Yes Nairobi have had few attacks but it is nothing compared to theirs. If you ask me wish I prefer I would prefer city with better infastructure and that you know is no Nairobi... Algiers has better roads and more road connectivity with modern intercity train and busses that makes it easier for me to commute rather than stuck in an inevitable traffic with no hope to escape through other options..infact infastructure wise generally they trump nairobi by a long margin and it's an insult to even think of, talkless trying to equate both because some silly ranking says so

Thats possibly because you are peculiar samorobo. The rest of humanity would choose, and actually chooses, Nairobi. Stop trying to magnify their insecurity to be any worse than Nairobi's when it suits you. They havent had any 'more' high profile attacks than Westgate and Dusit. But we still kick their arse in any city livability ranking. Why would you choose infrastructure alone as if you would be in Algiers for the sole purpose of commuting? I told you there are many things that would attract and make living comfortable in a city. A good example is that typically the first thing that will attract you to a city is work opportunities, and because you are a Nigerian, and Nigerians like big things (all people do no biggie ), you'd want a job with the UN or one of the major NGOs. That outrightly knocks Algiers out of the competition because they dont have the UN HQs, neither is Algiers a multinational and NGOs HQ. Even before the competition starts Nairobi has floored Algiers. Nairobi has all those "multinationals" aka top tier job opportunities, and that is often the top reason why expats flock to Nairobi. The same goes for other things from schools to entertainment to social events and even language. Algiers for instance will typically only attract Frenchmen and French speaking people and a few Arabs. That locks out more than half the world. Other than their tramways, there is nothing else better than Nairobi in Algiers as far as commuting is concerned. Nairobi also has intracity trains of which you were showed stations the other day and you infamously wrongly dismissed them as the SGR and then you drummed your chest like a ninja
