The guy is obviously not okay. He went ahead to like/share my posts even AFTER I warned him.

Why would anyone want to download or use an app built by a person using deception to get people's attention? Such a person would steal your passwords without blinking an eye.

Booksrite001, by the time I am done with you, you will compulsorily learn ethics and how to go about things the right way.

Thanks for the tip. Though I've decided against downloading the app until Seun approves it officially.
Thanks Ajibel. I am keeping my fingers crossed too. Waiting for approval. By the way, you don't have to login just to use the app. It's just like the website. Moreover, if you're technical, you'll realize that it's impossible for a developer so hack an Android WebView. Go do your research. Don't get me wrong.. Anything can be hacked. But to steal a user's information on a webview will first require me to hack Android OS first; which honestly I must confess I can't even compile Android when I got the code back in 2015. We need not discuss this further. I'll write a detailed post on my diary to address your security concerns.

Well, the internet has evolved and contents that used to be exclusively available on websites are going mobile. Those that couldn't make the switch adopted Progressive Web Apps (PWA). Sometimes, it's not that bad to try out something different. (or just a bit different). It's quite good you're embracing this change and you're a part of it. What can I learn from you? kiss

Seun and mods, please how do we block a user on nairaland? When someone starts constituting a nuisance, it's about time such a person be blocked. This guy masquerading as a female has been disturbing several people even after being warned.

What kind of nonsense is this bookrite? Even if I ever wanted to consider downloading your app, this your behaviour is a complete turn off and I definitely WILL NOT, mschew.

Lobatan, kiloletoyen well, here are the rules that govens Nl for a long while now?

If you notice that any of these rules that exists here and in any other page of NL, you can point to it. I have gotten a fair share of Mod banning even while sometimes, I thought it was unnecessary.
However, I understand the very thing you are complaining of and I sincerely apologize for bugging your comments. Such won't happen again. I promise.

SlimBrawnie:

Hmmm. You actually got me worried. Thank God I wasn't the only one that noticed the likes n shares on my posts.

Emmmmmm, I have been dragged here since I notice the traffic you were creating on sharing and liking my post on my timeline. The only problem here is - I don't use an android device...
I am coming for you IOS users. The IOS app is ready. Looking at the $99 to pay Apple for a shop on their store. I'll shell it out soon and all IOS users would enjoy the app.

Grandlord:
Booksrite001 seems the mods blocked out comments on your other thread or did you actually do that? shocked
Well, the thread is in the diary section. That's a rule on Nairaland. You can't comment on diaries. I have just updated a post there. I should be writing again soon there.

This is to formally announce three things:

1) There won't ever be sharing and liking of public posts again. cool
Though I feel it's just like a ReTweet on Twitter. undecided harmless and doesn't necessarily translate to bugging. It has permanently stopped.

2) I have started writing about my experiences here about the app and other things on a diary post. Feel free to check it out on my profile.

3) I'll be sharing my opinions with a topic, 'Different People on Nairaland'. I seriously pounder on the diversity of our mindsets. Some were already creating false news and impressions just to antagonize this idea. And they are doing it with just the same energy as flat-earthers (people that believe the earth is flat) or those that don't believe in moon-landing and climate change.

Lastly, I won't be able to reply to your mails. about 15 people have tried to initiate a conversation. Kindly chat up my moniker on the app. Do Profile lookup on the Side Menu bar and click chat. We'll be chatting in no time.

Special thanks to everyone that has dropped one or more comments here. What is a thread without you kiss kiss kiss kiss

I'll be writing next to address the Security concerns raised by some people on the thread. I'll be sharing some info on the Technicality of Securing the app and my methodology
This is a great concern, and I'll be glad if it were addressed.

Do you have access to log in details for instance? It would be annoying to find one has lost access to ones account.

You have said it all, this Forum have a going concern of over 20 years.

Seun actually add one or two small features from time to time but he does it inview of those things you mentioned so users can easily access the forum even with poor network or low data.
Nairaland is old fashioned simple. A mobile site can be made for accessing nl for small data and phones. Just as you can access fb with an ordinary j2me phone.

Maybe if you learnt to do things the right way and use the right channels, people would not suspect your intentions.

In actual fact, you are the one who needs to check his mindset. Why would a person be sharing others' posts in stalk-mode even after being asked to desist? Why would a guy claim to be a female? That is dishonest isn't it? So why should such a person be trusted? Hopefully, you will reflect on this and be honest with yourself.

If I do not have people like you here, How would I learn to reach out the right way? Clearly, I am learning more, I have apologized and I have pledged to stop the liking of multiple posts/comments. Hence,
Why would a person be sharing others' posts in stalk-mode even after being asked to desist?
Let's move on from this.

Why would a guy claim to be a female?
Well, if you read my posts well, you'll 'see instances where I (the person typing right now) stated my gender when people asked. I have done this multiple times, exchanged contact with some, met someone and planning more biz meetings. There is no deception here. If you're interested in knowing you could have as well simply asked.

FYI, this moniker Booksrite001 is not personal. It's purely for biz and hence 'female' attributes can be applied as any member of my team can be Booksrite001. The topic of using it,he or she for a company is still highly controversial but many including me would settle for 'feminine'.

Here is someone's opinion on it.
'It/they' are totally okay. However, 'she' is also recommended considering organization/agencies, just as human beings, countries and vehicles, are also productive, hold lives of employees and give forth career growth opportunities etc.
You are free to debate that in an appropriate section if you disagree.

I have reflected on your comment and I would not be honest if I do not equally advice that you check your motives. Your mindset is you and I realize that cannot change because we sometimes disagree, express contrasting opinions even about the same idea and I acknowledge that all these is just natural bringing in the factors of different cultural, educational and political backgrounds.

Thanks for writing. I hope you're typing from the app. kiss kiss

Just to point out, NL has the option to NOT select a gender.

No, I'm not typing from the app. Unfortunately, first impressions last long and once I am put off something from the start, it seldom changes. All the same, good luck with your app.

In addition, I noticed a recent post by Seun which he speaks about tolerating one another.
I realize that he understands that Nigerians need to accept everyone without pointing fingers to other groups wrt age, religion, politics, education and tribe differences.

it's such a pity that if you place 100 Africans in a hall with a bounty, they would successfully isolate themselves as single individuals. If Seun doesn't address this issue on NL? Who will?

I look forward to seeing more.
