The guy is good.

You guys should be careful with how you clamour for player's inclusion.

Its just one match. Why have we not been hearing much of his exploits before that match?

We wouldn't want another mediocre player on our hands oo

but now we have a good coach grin
Icon4s:

As at then the AM position was not much recognized as most teams played 4-4-2 (majorly) or 4-3-3. The central midfielder had the free roaming role. Kanu Nwankwo was intially the major SS but as he aged we adopted a two striker pattern of Yakubu and Martins who switched positions between CF and SS.

Oruma took over from J-J okocha in that CM role while Obodo more less took over from Oruma. Mikel also played that role and DM.

The only thing that wing lacked were natural wingers but it was made up for by the numerous pacey forwards we had and so players like Utaka, Osaze and Nsofor played from the wings and they were always goals threats from those position.

What we majorly lacked then was a good coach.

Chris. I agree with you. Ojo is decent but not better than what we have on the wings. He is not on the same level as Chuks, Onyekuru, Musa, Kalu and even Simon.

But having said that... I retain special interest personally in the lad because of his left foot. He can surely be a decent backup to Chuks as another Left footed winger on either wings.... as a LW or as an inverted RW. Would be nice to see Ojo get better and step things up ahead of a call up to the Eagles because it is obvious his allegiance lies with us. Ojo will be a decent addition but yes... he is not on same level as the bad ass wingers we've got.

Let's hope he improves on the 1 goal and 2 assists in the SPL so far in 4 games and really give us something to wow about not just in Scotland but in the UEL as well. So far... I think the lad is on the right track but he must stay really grounded.

you're right about this statement

Not so bro

I argued with the same person on this forum a few months ago about how the NFF were chronic debtors and owed Rohr salaries but the same person rebuffed my claims rudely.

Thank God Rohr has come out with the truth

U didn't say this last season when he failed to make it at Reins...

Why should l he was having an abysmal season and played rubbish in France.

So there was nothing to say then now there is , you talk about players in form not failing and doing nothing.

But he is now. Bit confusing he has been consistently above average in the Championship with Fulham Wolves and a few other clubs goes to France and he just flopped.

I am also disappointed with Maja expected him to take his form from league one to the French league. But he has not been so impressive. Unlike Osimhen who has kicked off what he started at the Belguim league.

Admittedly it's early days yet let's see how things progress.

Liking Rohr more and more these days. Good to see him speak up for his assistants. I'm shocked Agu doesn't have a contract.

Aribo's case if different. Currently in the super eagles we lack good cm so that made it easy for the lad to get a look in.

In ojo's case he is way down the pecking order judging by the talents we have in the flanks.

Most people did not rate Aribo in fact dismissed hin with abuse. He also was way down the pecking order.

Now they have all done u turns, why because he performed way beyond all expectations. We are now saying he can contend with any of our midfielders including Ndidi. It was not because there was no CM in the SE.

Without opportunity you can not perfom, so l don't think anyone can conclude that any of the existing wingers are better than him comprehensively. Until he gets opportunity to play in the SE and is tested.

Professionally Ojo has played 78 matches across 6 clubs bro, against Chuk's 38. Yes another left footed winger(a back up to Chuks) is needed but, Ojo should watch it, Adekanye might just knick it.

Adekanya is more like Chukwueze than Ojo, filled with trickery and a very good turn of pace the first few yards blistering . It's his end product that's very very suspect.

Today, Diamond Academy beat Akwa United in a pre season friendly. 1:0

The academy totally outplayed the NPFL club who could not manage a shot on target.

I think for many here top class football is about show boating and dribbling and end product not high up.the scale of expectations.

Ojo is not very skillful or filled with a lot of trickery.

However, his end product is very good his work rate is very good, he got physicality as well as blistering pace.

Is he good enough for the SE l would say yes he is left footed. Is he better than what we have, that's a never ending debate and difficult because he's never been given a chance at the SE.
I agree with most of what you said. To me, he's like a left footed [former self of] Moses Simon

I can't put up with trickery with little end product

When he wasn't doing well in France, u said nothing because there was nothing to say. no excuse to cook up.
But u could write an epistle everyday about Iheanacho's struggle at Leicester, Osimhen's troubles at Wolfsburg and Nwakali's poor club career. U don't miss an opportunity to bash those players..
