Temporary Resident Visa refusals on the rise, says new report Most African countries including Nigeria has 75% denial rate. Whether visa applications meet these basic requirements or not is at the discretion of the Canadian immigration officer who is treating the request. jj17cv: |
Re: Canada Visit/tourist Visa Discussion. by Nobody: 3:21pm On Sep 23, 2019 |
The issue might not be from you. The visa officer just decided not to issue the visa. It is sad but true that the current circumstances of Nigeria is contributing to high denial rates. Whether you met all requirements or not it is at the discretion of the Canadian immigration officer who is treating the request. Abioolly: 1 Like |

Thank you for your interest in visiting Canada. After careful review of your temporary resident visa application and supporting documentation, I have determined that your application does not meet the requirements of the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act (IRPA) and Immigration and Refugee Protection Regulations (IRPR). I am refusing your application on the following grounds: I am not satisfied that you will leave Canada at the end of your stay as a temporary resident, as stipulated in paragraph 179(b) of the IRPR, based on the purpose of your visit. I am not satisfied that you will leave Canada at the end of your stay as a temporary resident, as stipulated in paragraph 179(b) of the IRPR, based on your family ties in Canada and in your country of residence. I am not satisfied that you will leave Canada at the end of your stay as a temporary resident, as stipulated in paragraph 179(b) of the IRPR, based on your travel history. + + + + You are welcome to reapply if you feel that you can respond to these concerns and can demonstrate that your situation meets the requirements. All new applications must be accompanied by a new processing fee. Sincerely, IRCC Nairobi High Commission of Canada to Kenya |

Re: Canada Visit/tourist Visa Discussion. by FYsol: 8:50pm On Sep 23, 2019 |
Yes it is. They don't waste their resources verifying once they detected any reason to refuse you from the submitted application. All the best knytred: |
Re: Canada Visit/tourist Visa Discussion. by Candybright: 9:56pm On Sep 23, 2019 |
knytred:It may be a good time cos walahi, If your application doesn't meet up, they won't even bother with verifying anything. But I've seen a case where after verifying applicants personal statement with bank, refusal still came though the applicant had sponsor and I guess the denial was based on the sponsorship. 1 Like |
