1. SALARY:- Some of my colleagues have malaria mid-month, but once it is getting to 28,29,30...they start recovering.

When I met with our Chief-HRM, he asked me(and some other people), "Off the records, tell me the truth, why did you apply for this job?". Mind you, we had already gotten the job, this was at the point of signing our offer letters. They all started reciting those lines they crammed from job sites. "I need an organisation that will allow me grow, expand my potential...blabla"

When he got to me, I told him "The pay Sir."

Regards grin

I love so many things about my job.

1. Renumeration pattern..
-We have access to fixed and variable incomes... Variable income such as commissions for going extra miles, getting out at odds hours of the night and bringing in jobs

2. Dynamic nature..
-Each day I am faced with fresh new challenges. What I did yesterday will definitely be different from what I do today or tomorrow. In short, each day, I never can't tell where I will get to or what I will do.

3. Adventure and Field work
-My job required me to always be on the go. Moving from one part of the other within Lagos and beyong. Today am in Kano tomorrow, In in Umuahia, the next I'm in Ghana or Togo. So far, I've been to so many parts of Nigeria and even other places which ordinary I wouldn't have been to.

4. Opportunity to meet, encourage and impart people
- My job gives me opportunity to meet people in their trying times.. Some have been battling with some kind of terminal diseases and sicknesses. So I bank on this opportunity to pray with them and encourage, and even lead them to Christ letting them know that it's just a passing face of their lives and they will pull through.

5. Appreciation from Clients
-Most times we get appreciations from Patients/Relatives and I feel to happy within me that people appreciate what I do. Some people even go extra miles to give gifts and even invite us down to their houses. It's really not easy to give cash when you have so many bills to pay due to health challenges but when people do give me gift, it means they appreciate my professionalism

6. Opportunity to learn
- Started off as a marketer. I detest marketing job with all passion then to add salt to injury, I am to market an ambulance service company.. how on earth can i go about this.. Nigerians are not so informed as I see people transporting their sick ones on Bikes, Keke Maruwa, Taxi, personal car and even Danfo not knowing that there are some first aid and interventions that should be carried out enroute medical facility.. I knew I had a tough job but learn on the job, researched a whole lot, I didn't have a template as I am the first company marketer you what it means.

7. Opportunity to acquire new skills
-Coming from a management background, I've taken paramedic courses, BLS, ALS, ATLS and ACLS and I've also read alot. I can now drive, and have acquired IT skills, Marketing skills and all that.

8. -The push to think out of the box
-Each time we set out, we are kind of a walking solution. We don't take no for an answer and we can always get the job done. We understand the dynamism in our job as we have to look out for routes, finding address, getting to evacuate a patient safely even face some restrictions getting patient down from wherever they are. Travelling to unknown places and all that. But we sure have been trained to think like there is no box. So we can improvise, and find solutions to what so ever problem we face.

9. Training
- Periodic training and development as giving me so much confidence. Whenever I stand to speak even with professional medical practitioners, they hardly can figure out I'm not a doctor.

-Turn off
We are always in duty, no off duty, no weekends, no public holidays, no leave... But you can take permission to go for any personal programme and it will be granted at no cost

Nonetheless, we it's a good experience all the same

It's not easy running an EMS company in Nigeria but Nigerians are becoming to be more informed and rational as they get to clear the ways once they hear the ambulance siren blasting from the rear.

I walk in an medical Emergency response company and we specialise in transporting sick people within Nigeria and across via Ground and Air

Pls my people, always give way to an ambulance your relative may be the one inside. Then don't even be tempted to think there is no patient there.. When you see an ambulance on the road, the are either going for a rescue or evacuating the patient to the hospital. Whichever way, they need to be there on time...

As an entrepreneur that built a business from scratch with limited resources, the various emails we receive from experts, corporations etc requesting for an interview (tv, radio etc), expert opinion on key topics and commending us on a job well done.
