Ok, now for a little nibbles. I haven't gotten around to writing. Tests are glaring at me in the face and yours truly has been sleeping like a pregnant woman. God will save my soul. God will not let my village people dance soapy over my matter. “No, I won’t. Please I need you. I made a mistake and I’m sorry. I was drunk and I didn’t know what I was doing.”, he begged and rushed to embrace her. “Tinu, don’t leave me. Please.” “Chris, please let me go.”, she said stoic. “No. Don’t leave me. I’ll die without you. Please, I’m sorry please forgive me.”, he cried like baby. “Chris, stop this.”, she scolded. “Tinu, hit me, call me names, fucking castrate me but don’t leave me. Please. I beg you.”, he said crying. ✴✴✴✴✴✴✴✴✴✴✴✴✴✴✴ Tinu sighed as she left the kitchen. She heard her phone ring for the tenth time. She was going to give Chris a piece of her mind. He had his son and baby mama, why was he disturbing her? She saw the caller ID and her heart broke. It was Ajiri. “Hello.”, she croaked. “Tinu. Oh my God! How are you doing? I’m so sorry. I’ve been a terrible friend. I saw a video on a gossip website and I just had to check if you were alright.”, Ajiri gushed in concern over the phone. “I should have been there for you. I’m sorry.” “I'm actually glad you weren’t. I learnt to be strong and independent and that I’ve only got myself and my children. They need me to be strong.”, Tinu answered. “Tinu, I’m sorry.”, Ajiri apologized. “There’s nothing to be sorry for. I’m not being scornful or sarcastic but you warned me to give it a little more time. I didn’t listen, I can’t come crying now that I didn’t get a fair shake from my marriage to Chris. That’s a bygone. How are you and the boys?”, Tinu said. Ajiri sighed knowing she was in no position to push. “Fine. I’m expecting now. I hope it’s a girl.” “That’s great to hear.”, Tinu said smiling. There was a long awkward silence. “I should go.”, Tinu said. “Ok. Bye.”, Ajiri greeted. “Bye.”, Tinu answered and hung up. A pang of jealousy welled up in her. If only she had gotten pregnant again, then maybe Chris wouldn’t have… She stopped herself from delving into such thoughts. She had bigger problems like how to explain to the twins why they were living in a different place. Tóminí was already clamoring for her dad and asking too many questions. Her phone rang again. This time it was Monique. She smiled. Monique had been calling everyday to talk to the twins. At first, when she started calling, she was reluctant to pick her calls. When she eventually did, the sixteen year old affirmed that she had no business with her brother and his infidelity. All she wanted was to talk to her niece and nephew. Occasionally, she gave the phone to Mrs. Oduah, who more often than not begged her to return home. “Hey, pretty girl.”, Tinu greeted. “Tinu, please don’t hang up.”, Chris begged in panic. “You have got to be kidding me.”, she exclaimed. “You’ve been in touch with mum, Monique and Margaux but you won’t talk to me. Why?”, Chris asked. She scoffed and replied, “I’m not so petty as to sever ties with them. They did me no wrong. My issue is with you.” Tinu told him exactly what Mrs. Oduah told her the first time they spoke again. “Then let’s settle this. You just left the room that night like a thief after promising not to leave.”, he lamented. “Chris, I didn’t promise you anything. Besides, promises are a sham. You of all people know that.’ “God, you’re exasperating.”, he sighed. “I’m exasperating? You’re the no good, two-timing, backstabbing, can’t-keep-it-in-his-pants, cheating son of a b- gun.”, she hurled with venom. “Good, at least you’re saying something.”, he said ecstatic. “Get a life and leave me the hell alone.”, she sighed and rubbed her neck. “Tinu, sleeping with Katrina is something I regret. I was wasted after my stag party. I woke up with a hooker. In a hurry to get to church on time, I panicked and left. I didn’t realise she was the one. A couple of months after our wedding, she came to visit me in the office. I wanted so much to tell you. But I was ashamed. Then, the miscarriage happened. I didn’t want it to seem like I was rubbing it in your face. I just didn’t want to hurt you ever.”, Chris explained. “Look, I have to go.”, she said and hung up. She wondered if she should just sweep it all under the carpet. A part of her wanted to forgive him, another didn’t want to give him a chance to hurt her again. She pulled out a chair and sat at the dinning table. Couldn’t she just have a normal life? One without too much drama? Just a simple uneventful one. You know the Simpsons kind of life. No super model exes with a vendetta, no husbands with a strange idea of protection. No miscarriages. Just a simple life. One she might get bored of but one that didn’t drain her emotionally. She just wanted a stable marriage. If she left Chris that would make her a two-time divorcee. Not a great trend and example for her children. All she wanted was a marriage like a parents'. She sighed and wondered if her dad ever gave her mum reason to want to leave. If he ever, she most definitely did not act on it. God, being a parent was so hard. She couldn’t just make decisions on a whim, she had to factor in Tèmí and Tóminí. She picked up her phone and did what she thought was the best thing for her children. ✴✴✴✴✴✴✴✴✴✴✴✴✴✴✴ Katrina looked at the man and woman before her and scoffed. When she got the text, she assumed it was a reporter or some women’s rights activist. But then activist would call and a reporter would expressly say he was a reporter. The text just said, “We can help you get your son back. If you’re interested, come to this address….” “Look, I’ve listened to all you have to say. How does this help me? I want my son and I want Chris. Going after that bitch isn’t going to help me get him. Chris is crazy about her. No matter how much she pushes him away, he still loves her. His love for her is nothing like he felt for me. I can see it. So how on Earth am I supposed to get him back?”, she said. “You’ve given him something that Tinu never did.”, the woman answered. “Are you like kidding me or something? The child never brought him closer to me. I even saw more of Chris before I pulled that stunt. Now he has Chris, there’s no reason for him to see me.”, Katrina asserted. “Leave that to me. You just be available. If you follow my instructions, you’ll have Chris and your son.”, the man assured. “Why should I trust you?”, she asked skeptically. “Because I hate Tinu and I want her to suffer.”, the woman spat like a viper. 6 Likes 2 Shares |

Who is this new antagonist in the story Make them leave Tinu jare. After hearing Chris's side of the story I'll have to say Tinu should just forgive him, the Oduah's love her and her kid's like their own, it's not about the inheritance but about the love. Definitely she's hurting bcs of the betrayal but the fact remains Chris truly loves her.....Kapish 1 Like |

Update on board. ✴✴✴✴✴✴✴✴✴✴✴✴✴✴✴ “I realized I never really thanked you for telling me about Chris’s proposition. Thank you, Dele.”, Tinu said. “There’s no need to thank me. I just did what I felt was right.”, he answered. “So how are you?”, he asked and held her hand. “I’ve been better but things are looking up. I’ve decided to give Chris another chance. He said it was a mistake and I love him. Love forgives all.”, she mentioned and withdrew her hand. “Good.”, he said and she raised an eyebrow. He laughed and said, “What? It’s good. I’m happy for you. Chris deserves a chance and the twins love him. It’s good you’re getting back together. I’ve even began dating again.” “Wow, that’s great. Who is she?”, she said in excitement. “Seyífúnmi. We met at a tech entrepreneurs summit in University of Ìbàdàn. Turns out we’re practically neighbours. She stays in mum’s….”, he started saying and then stopped. “Tinu, I…” “It’s ok. How’s mum doing?”, she asked with a shaky smile on her face. She had once loved that woman as much as she loved her own biological mother. “She’s great.”, he said softly. “Mummy!”, Tóminí shouted as she ran into the living room. “I’m done packing. I finished before Temi. Can we go and see Daddy now? Please!!.”, she babbled panting. “Haven’t I told you to greet your father whenever you see him?”, Tinu scolded. “Sorry mummy. G'afternoon.”, she mumbled hastily. “Oluwatomini, if you don’t greet properly I will report you to your daddy.”, Tinu threatened. “Goodafternoon, sir.”, the little girl greeted and knelt. Dele forced himself not to laugh. “Good, now go to your room and wait.”, she instructed. The girl reluctantly got up and left. Waiting was obviously not one of her strong suits. “Wow. I thought girls feared their mums.”, Dele teased. “This is an exception to the general rule. That girl loves Chris so much that disobeying him or getting in his wrong book is a total no-no for her. I don’t even understand it.”, Tinu explained. “Well, I best be leaving. Seems you guys have a lot of things left to do.”, he said and stood up. “Dele, thanks for everything.”, she said and stood. “I’m really grateful.”, she said and hugged him. “It’s no big deal. We’re friends, right?”, he said and released her. “Friends. In that case, I want all the juicy details about Seyifunmi.”, she announced eagerly. “Sure thing.”, he said and she saw him to his car. “Bye, Tinu.” “Bye, Dele. Don’t forget to call me to give me gist.”, she hollered as the engine revved to life. “It’s gist that will kill you.”, Dele replied and drove off. Tinu smiled, happy to have gotten closure about her marriage to Dele. The one thing she learnt from it was to forgive and to accept. She couldn’tbe another Dele in her relationship with Chris. ✴✴✴✴✴✴✴✴✴✴✴✴✴✴✴ Tinu let the twins run into the house screaming. Tóminí ran up the stairs squealing 'Daddy' while Temi went into the downstairs study. Tinu smiled because she alone knew where her husband would be. She could bet her life that he’d be in the garden. When they were newlyweds, they spent all their leisure in the garden. Chris would sit against a pride of Barbados tree and she’d sit in between his legs and just stay there and relish being in each other’s arms. Tinu handed her handbag to the maid beside her and ran herself into the garden. She had missed her husband. She met him underneath the tree and smiled again. “I thought one could hear their screams out here.”, she said casually. He jerked.in surprise and turned to face her. She smile broadened on seeing his reaction. “I thought you were never coming back.”, he muttered. “Whatever gave you that impression?”, she asked slyly and prowled towards him sultrily. “You told me to get a life.”, he answered. “I never said I wasn’t going to be in it.”, she retorted and moved closer to him till they were barely an inch apart. “I've missed you.”, he said and tucked a stray strand of hair behind her ear. “Me too. I love you, Chris. More than Katrina and her child and more than any mistake you might make. You’re it for me. My Romeo, my Prince Charming, my Mark Anthony, my Abelard. You’re the love of my life, the father of my children, my husband. Those titles mean a lot to me.”, she said and kissed him. “That said, if this happens again, rather than leave, I will f***ing castrate you and feed your balls to the first dog I find.”, she promised. “I hope I’ll never have to hold you to that promise.”, he answered and hugged her. 9 Likes 1 Share |

Niwdog: Mama is too tired to be scheming and plotting. Her son barely even talks to her. She sees her grandchildren when it is convenient for Dele. Though this seems like motivation, the woman is not wicked, she was just misguided. |

So dele is now an alien to his kids, what a pathetic fate for him. No offence intended, but i hate to admit it, i aint feelling this story anymore . To me you killed the vibe in which you started this story with, right from where dele gave up on tinu. It was just like you murdered the protagonist of your story , like people use to say "actor no dey die for film" even if actor wan die sef na ending e go die.,this one dey different actor don die before film finish. i'm sorry to say.this story is kind of bizzare to me...in spite of that. You are a sensational writer with a fantastic writing skills , i pray you reach your desired heights .you deserve to be laurelled for writing this story.. 7 Likes |

Ok. Thanks for pointing that out. I understand but give me time. Everything is to lead up to Dele and Tinu's reunion. Tinu claims to love Chris or she loves Chris, she can't just go back to Dele like that. Dele can't just sit and wait for who knows when for Tinu to realize who knows what. Like one of my favorite movie characters said, there'll always be embers remaining that can easily be reignited, when you truly love someone. Tinu and Dele are oblivious to these embers. Just relax and chill for me. These things take time unless you want me to do a sloppy job. 4 Likes |
