My vote is 1: Okezie Ikpeazu. He's literally the worst of the worst. We are not talking about rocket science here oh. This guy won't even handle the basic things well. I don't even know where to start with him; poor roads, pot holes everywhere, electricity situation is poor, schools poor, security situation poor.

The agbaya won't even pay common salaries but rumor has it that he gets around N1 Billion Naira monthly in security vote! Shameful

My 2nd vote has to be #22: Yahaya Bello. I don't even know where to start with him. I tire for him.

. Brother I went to somewhere around ovom or something through Aba owerri road. As soon as we entered abia that was it. The worst road I have ever seen in all my traveling years is in Aba. Refuse dumps,gullies,pot holes and gallops. God help us. OP might be right.

I've been to a lot of cities/states and Abia state was by far the worst in terms of infrastructure alone. It was quite embarrassing actually. Let's call a spade a spade and not try to sugar coat anything.

The government in Abia State is very poor and that's putting it very lightly. Kogi is 2nd on my list but only because of other reasons.

Okezie Ikpeazu is the worst governor by a stretch. He is a curse on Abia state and a waste of space. How can a governor be getting rounder while his workers die of starvation? To even think that he was a former waste collector and still Abia has been overtaken by filth, is mind blowing. The man is also the ugliest governor in the country so double tragedy for Abia state.

My opinions are informed judgements. I measured all states I've visited based on these parameters and yes, Abia was and still is by far the worst. It's very embarrassing actually and downright shameful.

On the July allocation you mentioned, I went ahead and downloaded the August allocation from the federal website and see below:

In whose world is one man entitled to ~22% of a state's federal allocation? This amount doesn't include bribe money or the amount the deputy gov, and government "people" take home. Abia and most Nigerian states spend around 75% of their budget on recurrent expenditure and around 25% on "capital expenditure"; how is that sustainable? You and I need to be honest with ourselves here.

A subsection of the economy which depends on government salaries are literally being starved to death in a democratic state in this 21st century.

Kogi is close 2nd.

Y'all haven't been to cross River state lately. Ben Ayade is the worst scam of a governor in the entire south South.

Remember that pot hole shaped like the Nigerian map its one of Governor Ben Ayade's legacies. Cross Riverians have never had it this bad. There's endless bloodletting in communities over land disputes and he is clueless on what to do. His brother runs the state when he's absent. Base on stories I read on Nairaland, I was in a bus one day from Abuja passing through kogi, I stated with boldness that Abia state governor is the worst in Nigeria, I nearly got mobbed by kogites in the bus, they where seemingly angry that any governor could out do their governor in the worst governor award... Bello is the worst governor in history of mankind not just in Nigeria.

Even if he rig, he won't win, in a fair and a bit credible election, only Ebiras will vote for him despite them feeling the worst hit for his maladminstration and that will just be like 21 percent of the total vote cast

Abia state is swimming in filth. The people there can't bear the odour of Aba anymore. A new disease epidemic may result if nothing is done urgently. They are even appealing to Buhari to come to their aid since Abia state doesn't have a governor. If you spray perfume on your body to go to work or a party or church, before you get there the odour of Aba would have neutralized the smell of the perfume. Abia state urgently needs physical and spiritual cleansing.
