IamaNigerianGuy: I expect some reactions from you but check out the meaning of ignorance and tell us what you were doing when Ebola struck. I guess you deserve the world respect and accolades Nigeria got. Keep on exposing your greed and false sense of accomplishment while engineering graduates languish and remain untapped. I wish I was an engineer since they remain humble and unassuming. Are you telling me Primary Health Care was a failure in the North? Do you know who and how it was implemented throughout Nigeria or you were not born then? Go read up on it and Prof. Olikoye Kuti. We thought we finally got it right. Once more find out the meaning of ignorance, you may see yourself in the mirror. 1 Like |

And then you will pay them what or even more than the Nigerian doctors have been asking for since. Retain your workforce by treating them right. Simple common sense. Self hate and inferiority complex won’t kill us. 2 Likes 1 Share |

texazzpete: I thought that Jonathan increased minimum wage to N18,000 within one year of being president from N7,500, which cascades down to all workers, including those in the health sector? Has the confused bubu done anything similar despite the hike in fuel, exchange rates, inflation, unemployment etc? 3 Likes |

Confused nation, you frustrate them, they go on strike to register there pain's you ignored and played them, by oath they know there work depends 92% on calm grey matter, now they carry there bags straight to places that understand, leaving the nation shortage of medical pro's. Now you are considering expatriates possibly or certainly paid with foreign currency and a good package. |

anonimi: You think the problems in the health sector are about minimum wage? It’s also a bit mischievous of you to bring this up as a win, considering the number of times doctors went on strike under GEJ. I guess the minimum wage increase didn’t fix that, eh? You’re a bright chap, but your problem is that you’re too fixated on partisan lines. I loathe both GEJ and Buhari’s performances, and that’s easy to do because I’m a taxpayer who pays a SUBSTANTIAL amount of money in tax and sees his money wasted by successive poor leaders. I hope your tax bill goes up significantly under a PDP administration so you can join me in raging against the machine without looking at political party 1 Like |

texazzpete: I am a realist who understands that the issue is beyond the president whether Jonathan or Buhari. The issue is about us and our preferences as well as our seriousness about governance and our communities hence giving other political office holders a free pass while focusing, almost exclusively on the president. Having said the above, Jonathan is comprehensively way better than Buhari just as Atiku is also. Given that these were the viable options available in 2015 and 2019, partly due to the issues described in the preceding paragraph, I supported both over much more incompetent Buhari and am very proud of my choice. The partisan line is necessary to balance the propaganda of APC, which is super sleek compared to the almost non-existence of PDP in this area. Finally, I am not a PDP person beyond supporting their candidates since 2013 over their fellow rogues in APC. 1 Like |

frankobinna: I am very very amused at this comment...because the Chinese too have their own problems 1.China is run by a very repressive dictatorship. I assure you they make Buhari look nice by comparison. 2.Since 1949, China has been run by a sucession of dictators. Mao Zedong , the first of them , was responsible for various polices that led to the deaths of tens of millions of people. Tens of millions. 3.In China, the state actively interferes in the practice of religion. As a Muslim or a Christian you cannot practice your faith independently.,you must practice it as the government dictates. 4.Now, on to China's economic prosperity. a) Until 1979, China was a very broke nation. Their GDP in 1974 was less than that of Sierra Leone. b)China became prosperous because Deng Xiaoping brought in capitalist reforms...ie allowed companies to flourish, and brought in industrializaiton...which has led to China being a manufacturer and the world's second largest economy. c) Crucial to that development has been the development of a very rigorous education sector (so hard, you start preparing for their equivalent of the WASSSCE and JAMB when one is in their equivalent of our primary 5)...and an emphasis on techincal education (here in Nigeria , we laugh at techincians as dull people. d) Even then, a lot of people live in poverty, there are areas in the countryside that are as poor as our own rural areas, and the welfare system does not cover everyone. The thing is, China is not the paradise you think it is...it is a nation with large inequites between the rich and poor, a very repressive government which still restricts what you can do or say, and a non-existent welfare system. Oh and their educaiton system? Designed to fail as many students as possible. Their equivalent of our JSCE//Junior WAEC is designed to fail as many as 50% OF THE examinees. 50% Their university exams are even tougher. |

PoliticalWitch: Am not here to doubt or argue with you But do you believe that Nigeria has number Of poor people than china irrespective of the two country population. Today china GDP is 19 Trillion dollars Close to USA which is 20 Trillion Now what difference have Nigeria government Done since 1960 Even if Chinese government are dictators as you say, they are far better than all our political leaders put together. Religion and education put aside Let's compare the two country in terms Of good living and human right |
