What about the panic period that do "usher" in the bull (or calf, as the case may be). You think this time will be an exception?

STOCK MARKET GUIDE FOR 03 OCT 2019

MSCI did nothing, Index was down heavily , no surprise as the week opened near a resistance zone. Brent going below $60, the foreign funds may stay off.

I am fascinated the way some few equities are used to keep some traders in the market even when the big money knows that Investors cannot make money in that stock. At least there is need to lure as many people into the market even if the 90% of the market participants will end up as losers. Is this manipulation!!! I don’t know? It may be a case of "BUYERS BEWARE"

Caution: This is for information purpose only. Data used are assumed to be correct. However, you may want to verify the data from an appropriate source. Also, Institutions can afford to suffer big losses without going burst compared with an individual, you cannot follow them blindly (you need to at least have some knowledge/your own plan). Yok please explain the 'bolded'. I really would appreciate an illustration.

My oga

There is something the index didn't show even when other stocks showed it on the H4 and daily around August 2019. Today it (ASI) showed it. Going lower than the previous low and being rejected.

Tomorrow if the big caps and other banks start to assist the index to further rise, that means that it is a V-shaped bullish run.

Mind you, other stocks are still going up or just Profit taking going on. So I'm not misrepresenting facts here.

I insist that the market is bullish.

It is called "Touchdown" and the reversal is called "homerun". grin

The remaining cash with me I reserve, not buying anything again till I witness the panic sell which will usher the bull we are talking about.Whether the bull comes in October, November or December,I strongly believe a big sell off will come before our foreign partners dive in.

As we await Bullbearmkt TA charts later today, everyone ought to be careful in buying to avoid -10% in our latest buy.

I'm currently sitting @ -5% in Fcmb which is my latest buy. Most of my old stocks are doing -15%,-25%,-7%,-13%,-30% and +18%.I still believe my portfolio will shed more blood before the arrival of the bull.

BEWARE OF ONE/TWO DAY HEAVY SELL OFF.

I cover the remaining cash with me with the blood of Jesus Christ.

I will say this is my personal opinion and is common in the market. You will see an equity that the financials are not good, but once a while the price will just be increasing without reason and as soon as you buy, you will find that you have bought into a losing stock.

See the chart below, compare it with the financials. Why should this stock be going up? Even if the company can perform magic, I don't see how one can make money buying such equity.

Indirectly, my emphasis is that we must do our homework, we should not buy a stock just because the price is moving up!!!. If we see that risk is too high, we should not buy.

This is likely to come up in periods that are close to earnings seasons like we are getting to very soon.

Q2 of this stock will be profitable but the other Quarters will be losses. Q1 also is always a loss but this year's own shocked me. The losses on another level.

ASI fell from 27,314. 87 and touched 26, 575.54. This was 2.7% fall today due to Nestle and Dangote Cement. Dangote Cement reversed all its losses and ASI ended up rejecting the low of 26,575.54. It closed at 27,085.69

Previous low around 16th August 2019 was 26,789.38.

Hence my stating that ASI went lower compared to the previous low (in August) but was rejected.

Match this with other tools and you will clearly see that ASI should be rising from here. Only the very big caps can drag ASI so low and so fast.

We will see soon if stocks will continue its downward trend (as you are forecasting) or will continue on its bullish course (as it had already done).
