Honestly,that's their only valid option but they can't even get the foundry to work for lack of power! Scrap the whole plant and movables like cooling beds,gearboxes,shears,interstands etc,etc to those who can smelt outside Naij and recover maybe 15% of the initial investment.

I don't think so! Before you even think of getting real money from exports not the Naira you need disease free zones requiring interagency cooperation among communities,enforcers,ministries and ranchers;an impossible task in todays Naij.

Afrikaner companies don't dominate anything in Nigeria. There just another company that exist and competes with native ones. I know Native Africans creating & running there own digital platforms is still something you Kenyans and Ghanaians have trouble wrapping your heads around. One day you'll get it.

Kantanka to produce electric cars by December – CEO

Indigenous car maker Kantanka says it is poised to manufacture electric cars before the end of this year.

Chief Executive Officer, Kwadwo Safo Kantanka Junior says the move is to further prove to Ghanaians and the world that they are capable to stand the innovation competition on the global stage.

Speaking to Bola Ray on Starr Chat Wednesday, Mr. Safo said the company is expanding to other parts of the world with a new office in Dubai.

“By the end of this year, Kantanka will build electric cars that could travel between Accra to Kumasi before recharge. We intend to do that before this year ends.

“Our company is fast growing and currently we have another headquarters at Dubai and the challenge there is healthy for us because they understand luxury and that is good for us,” he said.

Kantanka Automobile Company Limited is a subsidiary of the Kantanka Group of Companies founded by Kwadwo Sarfo Kantanka, the founder and leader of Kristo Asafo Mission of Ghana.

The company was later incorporated as a limited liability company in 2001 with the main objective to research into the manufacturing of automotive components and their combination with other parts outsourced from component suppliers to form a complete built unit.

Kantanka vehicles are assembled in Ghana from CKD (Complete Knock Down) kits supplied by a Chinese firm, possible Foday through Chongqing Big Science & Technology.

it is not only limited to Ghana. it is available in Liberia too. and plan to enter other country as well. now available in Dubai.

FG and Russia To Synergize in Revamping Ajaokuta Steel Company
As the Federal government strives to diversify the economy through Mining and Steel Sector, the revitalization of Ajaokuta Steel Company to produce optimally is of utmost concern to the present administration, the Minister of Mines and Steel Development, Arc. Olamilekan Adegbite stressed this when he received the Russian Ambassador to Nigeria, His Excellency, Alexey Shebarshir in his office.
The minister pointed out that Federal Government did not deliberately abandon the company but owing to some legal encumbrances, the company has not been producing optimally. He said that the government has been expending huge amount of money to ensure that the assets at the company are not vandalized.
Adegbite informed the Russian Ambassador that the Federal Government is working round the clock to ensure that some sections of the company will start production before the end of the year. He assured his guest of the government’s readiness to welcome any collaboration aimed at revitalising the steel industry to operate in full capacity. The minister said that plan are on ground to engage relevant companies on meaningful discussions with a view to employ strategic approaches on the best ways to reinvigorate Ajaokuta Steel into full production so as a achieve the vision of making it the hub of industrialization not only to Nigeria but Africa at large.
The Russian Ambassador to Nigeria, Alexey Shebarshir, speaking earlier, said that his country is ready to partner with Nigeria in resuscitating Ajaokuta Steel Company especially in the areas of rebuilding infrastructure and overhauling of the plant. He emphasised on the need for the Federal Government to protect the private investors who are interested in turning around the company for maximum production.
While commenting on the partnership, the Russian Deputy Head of Mission, Trade and Economic Affairs, Valery Shaposhnikov, said that they have carried out on the spot analysis of the challenges militating against smooth operation of the company.
He called for more engagement between government and stakeholders in the industry so as the to be better informed and fashion out the best ways to tackle the issues hindering the operations of the company.
Shaposhnikov reiterated his country’s readiness from the inception of the company to harness the potential of Steel in providing the necessary equipment for the industrialization of the country
