Ugommma:i think people visiting this thread should understand that even if your intention is your genuine, there is no way the VISA officer will know. All these explanation we are doing is just to let us guess the thinking of the officer not that you will have time to explain anything to them in DETAILS. Even if you answer questions they didn't ask you, it makes you more susceptible to denial. So all your explanations is valid but the visa officer won't ask you all these questions and your interview will be over as soon as it starts Your interview will go like After initial pleasantries.... You are visiting a friend....Yes How long have you known him Who is sponsoring your trip Why are you visiting? Are you married? Have you travelled out of the country before? Something similar to this and a quick no to the last two questions end the interview believe me 2 Likes |

123JohnF:have tried it for some months now.. too complex to learn online |
Re: USA Visit Visa Part 4 by Nobody: 2:55pm On Oct 04, 2019 |
Ugommma:The difference is only some have the discipline to learn online and some need a teacher and regular classes. But from the screenshot you posted and what your "sponsor is telling you how many Nigerians are in Detroit, looks they want you there to overstay in US. Be careful, if you have no work permit and you are undocumented, you will be tied to a very low pay to work for your "sponsor" forever, no rights, no health insurance. Good luck. www.nairaland.com/attachments/10335214_dfa5f1005b884172b8f4776eecbf2065_jpeg_jpegb99ec9bee231dc5af1e389e36f63486b 1 Like |

Ugommma:If traveling is your dream, you have to invest on it like a project. Before the new Zealand training, go to South Africa or even Dubai like someone suggested. New Zealand will allow you to apply online and then you send your passport to South Africa. Those ones too expect you to have travel history to countries around first. New Zealand is far away from everyone so they suspect any Nigerian going there for things apart from studies. They have a high denial rate for tourist visas from Nigeria. However, they will give you a lengthy reason for denying you so you will know his thinking and they will expect you to upload your bank account online so start building your bank account. For A list countries....Nigerians have spoilt our reputation by abusing visas so you must individually prove yourself to be reliable through travel history and build account. If it is student visas, you have higher success rates without travel history |

OmoBendel24: Oh thanks for this. I already gace up in applying again this year and already waiting for April 7th so i can go get a new Passport and apply again. So you're saying i can still Apply now with same Passport? And do you also mean that i must get a new passport to travel if this passport is already less than 6 months and i wanna travel even if visa is on this passport and not the new one? Finally, you said i can also renew my passport once i have less than 6 months validity on it? |

Good evening everyone, I trust all is well. I will like to run my situation with everyone and hoping to get advice. I am a frequent traveller (Visitor) to the U.K since 2007 - my mum lives there. At some point I went for my masters Degree and also got a post study visa (2yrs work permit). In 2014 I moved back to Nigeria and I got married in 2015. My wife and I applied for US visa and we were denied. Tho her passport carries her dad's surname at the time- not sure that's a reason for the refusal. Got pregnant in 2017 and we decided she should go give birth in the US , which she applied and was refused. Fast forward, she travelled with our son (4months old) to Dubai in Jan 2018. I didn't go with them as I was busy with my business. Late 2018 , we all applied for U.K. visitors visa and we were granted. In addition, I have been to SPAIN aswell (I went alone from U.K.). To my main question, now we have another baby and we all plan to apply for US visa again, do you think we have a good history now to get the US visa? However, my wife sells Fashion wears - men, women and kids and I am into Media and Entertainment Business. Though I didn't apply with this business when I first applied, I used a business electronic business (which I stopped few years ago to focus on on my media and entertainment business). This is my story, please advice and also suggest which way to go. Thank you everyone! |

Just be yourself, be truthful, do not show desperation and maintain eye contact as you speak confidently...............your answers should be able to convince you first. Also, read up your submitted form.as a reference point. Octrem: |

Pls, go ahead and apply with it. I renewed my visa in May with a passport that will expire this month October. I travelled with it in August and I returned in September. Go and apply and renew next year. There are no booklets now and you have to pay higher to get it within days. MISTAICEY02288: |

Why not check other country or even learn from an established aromatherapist here in Nigeria? Then when you have spent some time and settled down in the business you can then apply to upgrade and learn more! Ugommma: |

You already built a profile for yourself such as having travel history but the fact is no visa is guaranteed especially for U.S. Life is about taking chances so make a move and apply. olu101: |

olu101:@olu,you are not good to go from a personal experience (my elder brother),all of you including the new born should take a trip together even if its to Rwanda, kenya or Ghana cos that question will arise.my brother, wife and son has good travel history, when they applied(the first time) with their new born(4 months old)they were refused on the ground that, they have not (all) travel as a family, they went Rwanda,(7 days) in May,reapplied again in September and visa was granted one hand. |

Good morning everyone. Please for those that have presented Registry certificate for visa interview, which one was used? Can we go with the local government one or the Ikoyi federal one. Thanks |
