Good day Nairalanders wink, this is my first time dropping a message here but I have always been on the background reading. I appreciate everyone contributing here for the knowledge shared.

My question is to those currently in Conestoga College or recently applied to the school or have knowledge of the application system of the school. I will like to know if it's compulsory to send my Nigerian transcript first to WES or the other body for evaluation before applying on the Ontario College application centre OR can I upload my official transcript in its original form directly?

I will appreciate your kind response. Thank you in anticipation.

No need of sending to WES. Just upload directly to the international portal

I dont have answer bro.

I have Wednesday appointment with them here in Abuja. Do they give result that same day? If no, how long does it take?
No, they don't give result to you, they send it to cic. But you will be giving a slip, that one you should upload via webform or and send to them by email. They will send your result btw 72hrs.

Even if one party has a different view from the other, they obviously do not have any say right now since they are not in power yet. Although it's suspicious that this is happening towards election period

SOGalex:
Wondering how people are still applying upon series of refusals. In whole August and September, none was invited for medical and doesn't bother, seriously? The prime minister(PM) election is October 21st or something, and I heard it's because of this embassy are giving refusals because apparently the Liberals have different policies, especially Immigration policy, from the Conservatives. And not until after election things might not change. I have always known something is not right. Just sad that I fell into this group of victims but I will re fire immediately after the election.
Peace

Please, Guru in the House.
My study permit got refused on two reasons below; I need sincere advise before I refire the application. I am currently working and it was stated in my application letter, with offer letter attached, even promotion letters was attached.. JD was also attached.
I don't understand what the VO means as below:
1. Not satisfied you will leave Canada subsection 216 based on purpose of visit
2. Not satisfied you will leave Canada subsection 216 based on employment situation

Please, kindly advise.. Thanks

Hello everyone, this is my first time posting on this group, I want to say a very big thank you to everyone that has made things easier for a lot of us, God bless you all.

My reason for posting is because I have few questions.

1. I just secured admission into 2 colleges (Seneca and centennial) I've decided to choose centennial, so I'd love to proceed to the application of my study permit.
I'm married with 2 kids, do I apply alone or with my family?

2. I am using my boss at work as my sponsor, and he's agreed to transfer some funds to my account,
so that I can show sufficient funds in my bank statement. (I have the funds, but it won't be available this month, and I have to apply next week) How do I do this successfully without getting denied for lack of funds?

3. If I apply alone, how soon can my family join me? And what platform should they apply through?

I regret to hear your study visa was rejected. My best advice for you is to sit down, construct a convincing letter of explanation with relevant documentation/proof that will tackle those generic reasons that were highlighted on your refusal letter as well as explaining your home ties to Nigeria. Leave no stone unturned this time. At the end, pray for grace and reapply.

Good pm to the travel gurus in the house. I want to apply for a polytechnic in Canada. I am a graduate of geography and meteorology. Finished service in 2016, then joined my family importation biz with plans to further my education later. I want to apply for office administration, for Jan 2020 session. Fees are intact. Just wondering about my chance for visa.

Welcome to the thread @Miztafrank. I hope you will find your stay here very educating and rewarding. Permit me to ask you, what's your CGPA like, and why do you intend to further your education in a polytechnic? With respect to your enquiry, I don't think it's advisable to apply for an admission for winter term, 2020 considering the the limited time to gain an acceptance and also to gather your documents for visa application. Your best bet here should be Spring (May) or Fall (September) 2020 as this will give you ample time to prepare yourself for a successful TRV application. Finally, no one can gurantee you the success of your application, do the right thing by applying with the required documents as per the IRCC document checklist and wait for the outcome of your application.

It adds more credibility to your application if you can include a cover letter to support your claims.

I don't know why IOM keep calling me to come back after medicals.
The first time they said to re-do the X-ray. Went there again and it was done and they said all is fine now and apologised.
Today again they are calling to come again....

Please has anyone been or seen anyone in such situation?

NOTE: I did this upfront medical a day before my last app was refuse. Wanted to send it via webform. So I don't have an application running.

Anyone seen or heard such about IOM?
Pls ans me.
There's an issue with your medical, that's the only reason they call one back
