Anthonyant447: Ok...since you have nodes, it means something like a virus has triggered your immune system. In order to be sure, have you done a HIV test yet? How long had this been? Most importantly, have you read about colloidal silver? It is the most potent antiseptic (antiviral, antibacterial and antifungal) agent ever known to man. With colloidal silver, some nigella sativa and probably vitamin D if you are truly infected can reverse the infection within weeks. You can google about "Colloidal Silver HIV Cure" and see testimonies. Check my profile if you need colloidal silver |

Anthonyant447:8weeks is indeed not conclusive. Its usually 3months. But the chances of your result changing from negative to positive after having tested at week8 is quite slim. The only criteria that could cause such change is if you are on a medication for some terminal illness like Cancer, Alzheimer disease, Parkinson disease and some very serious illness like that. If you're currently undergoing treatment for such illnesses and you go for an HIV test, your result will probably be altered due to the drugs and medications in your system. Hence you'll be advised to get tested 6months after you have completed the medications for any of those illness. But if not, 8weeks is quite enough time to produce a quite correct HIV status. |

Dreek:thanks for educating me. so you just went there and they decided to use this on you instead of the normal anti body test and how long did it take before you got the results |
Re: My HIV Positive Journey. by ItzSpartacuz: 5:03pm On Oct 05, 2019 |
Ade24682:Worldwide, the window period for an HIV test to be ruled out as conclusive is still 3months. Those having a changed result after 3months would probably have been battling some other terminal illness which is said to alter HIV results if they tested at that time. Only symptoms can delay for that long, even years. Some people don't even develop symptoms till after 2years and above. That's why CDC adviced people get tested every 3months and not wait to see symptoms cos most times, symptoms delay for a very long while due to some factors. But for a test result, after been tested negative within the normal 3months to change to positive after 6months, something must definitely have been seriously wrong with that person before hand. HIV doesn't stay hidden in the body like that. Its a very difficult disease to catch and quite quick to diagnose. |

ItzSpartacuz: I disagree slightly cos what i heard is once someone is infected the test will detect either on drug or not. Thanks for the insight tho. Much appreciation |

Anthonyant447:Oga there are a lot of exceptions. take what that guy told you. he's right . Those with poor immune, used pep(hope you know what this is)on cancer therapy or IVR drug users are advised to check after 6months |
Re: My HIV Positive Journey. by Anthonyant447: 5:11pm On Oct 05, 2019 |
What I will do now is wait for 3 weeks and few days to be approximately 3 months and get tested again. After then mo japa |
Re: My HIV Positive Journey. by ItzSpartacuz: 5:11pm On Oct 05, 2019 |
Anthonyant447:Then why do people have changed result after 3months and 6months? Quote me anywhere, if a Cancer patient has HIV and he or she get tested while still undergoing chemotherapy, such individual will test negative. Ask a doctor Sir... |

Re: My HIV Positive Journey. by Ade24682: 5:17pm On Oct 05, 2019 |
ItzSpartacuz: see leave all this CDC thing. visit some sites and HIV people telling their stories. Some turn positive way after 3months. with no proper explanation. not some a lot of them. well even general hospitals and labs here will always tell you to check after 6months if they think you had a risk. you seem to have researched a lot. I like it |
Re: My HIV Positive Journey. by Dreek: 5:28pm On Oct 05, 2019 |
Ade24682:I knew about the test in school, I did a course on it. I asked the hospital (National Hospital Abuja) if they run the test they said yes its free. I got the result after 3 days. This is the final confirmatory test for HIV. |

Ade24682:HIV serology is the use of Elisa test |
Re: My HIV Positive Journey. by ItzSpartacuz: 5:32pm On Oct 05, 2019 |
Ade24682:If people have changed results way after 3months or even 6months with no proper explanation, they definitely had another exposure that caused the change. They won't include that in their stories though. I know what I'm saying Sir. A changed result after 3months is relatively rare. 2 Likes |

Re: My HIV Positive Journey. by Ade24682: 8:39pm On Oct 05, 2019 |
hidhrhis:so wats the difference between this and the standard anti body test |
Re: My HIV Positive Journey. by hidhrhis(m): 9:40pm On Oct 05, 2019 |
Ade24682:the standard antibody test is Elisa test which check for your antibody and it requires 3 days for the result to be ready the one you receive that day immediately is rapid test the one that checks for both the antigen and antibody is the use of PCR DNA and the antigen only appears like 2 weeks after HIV enters the body by 8 weeks the antigen would have disappeared in which antibody will appear then |
