hello everyone...pls my last question before submitting tomorrow..in my bank statement, my home address I use to open d account is now different from my home address I live in now..cus I opened d account in abuja and now I have relocated to Lagos but in d statement of acct my d abuja address is still there...hope it's not an issue..cus dats d account I gave my office for my salary acct.

This should not be an issue. They should reasonably expect people to change house address with bank not yet updating it.

I included my tax certificate in my last application and the address on it is different from my current address. I got the visa - although my own case may be a little different (address is the least thing anyone will be seeing in my application docs).

Yes, and it will be credited into my account before the application will be submitted.
If this is the case, I think you have nothing to worry about with respect to the budget of your trip because the leave allowance that will be paid into your account will be the spent as part of the trip budget and from what your monthly salary is, and also, your monthly expenses, you will only need to add just your one month monthly disposable income which is 210k to the leave allowance of 290k to make up the total budget for your 10 days trip which is 500k. The gurus in the house can also look into this because this is the essence of this forum. Mind you, there should be a letter from your company stating that you are entitled to annual leave allowance. Cheers

Please house, I need your contributions. I am about to apply for UK visit visa. My monthly salary is 300k, monthly expenses is 90k, Budget for 10 days trip is 500k, I will be getting leave allowance of 290k. Is my budget for the trip good enough? I don't have any host in the UK.

Cut your monthly expenses to 50k, that leaves you with 250k disposable income. Cut your trip budget to about 450k.

Done!

So I think your Flexi Appointment date doesn’t matter because what I did was just to mention Flexi Appointment (Walk In) at the security post. They collected copt of the appointment email and first page of our application forms.
We then joined the queue inside and in another 20 mins, I was called in to the reception where I made payments. I was directed upstairs where someone scanned the passports and gave us collection document. Then we were captured in some mins.
This is my best Visa service. It was fast and stress free. The whole process took about 1hr 45mins. Maybe it’s also because I did Self Service and I didn’t need to carry too much documents and papers around.

Now it’s time to pray and hope the results comes out in time.

Thanks to everyone supplying people with info here.

Chief, i sent you a PM.... Please check your inbox for notification.

I hope it is not late. My current house address is different from the one on the bank statement and i got the visa. But if u are afraid just address the issue on your cover letter.

For a business owner, is his income the total income made from all his businesses or just what he pays himself monthly?

Hello Gurus in the house,
Please, I need your advice. I'm currently in the UK on a spouse visa, I'm expecting my first baby due by March next year. The thing is I want to invite my mum to come visit in order to help me out, at least in the first two months. My questions are:

1. Is it ok to invite her a week or two before my baby is due as I'd really love for her to be here when baby arrives.

2. Will 2 months stay be too much considering it's her first visit to the UK?

3. She's a little over 50 and does business, though recently registered with CAC but don't pay tax or anything. My husband wil be sponsoring her entire trip. Will the above hamper her chances?

4. My dad's late. How do we handle the issue of ties to show she'll leave after the visit.

5. Finally, roughly how much does my husband need to have in his account for the trip. I have a faint idea of documents we need to show, but will really appreciate any input.

Thank you.[sub][/sub]

Gurus in the house, please help me out here..

2 months stay is a lot for. 1st time... reduce it
Kindly read this thread’s part 4, someone had same omugwo story and inviting her mum with her husband sponsoring... her experience might help pending when the gurus answer your questions
She reduced the stay in the application form to 2 weeks and was granted...
When ur mum is granted, on her trip just make sure she has a valid return ticket without a long duration
She can always come back a second time to visit you on that same visa..

Hello everyone. Please, can I use a statement of account that was printed on the 17th of September to apply for a visit visa before 15th of October? Your opinions will be much appreciated. Thanks.

According to UK visa rule, you can use a bank statement of 30 days or less

Dont advice such pls
Someone on this thread was denied for presenting a 1 month old bank statement for VISIT visa...clearly the visa officer said something shady was ongoing on as to get one’s current bank statement is as simple as ABC and there was no assurance that the money was still in the applicant’s account ... go back and read part 3
Why will someone who is not trying to deceive the ECO bring account statement of 30 days old for VISIT visa... I will never understand this

Veacon, hiya!
I can answer about 4. Hopefully, number 5 will be answered by others.

1. Yes, it's okay. So, this totally depends on you i.e. when you intend submitting the application for her considering response timeline from UKVI & peak period delays.

2. I think I agree with the response you got earlier. 2 months for first time visit feels long to me; 1 month, 1 week should be fine.

3. Not so sure about this but why not pay tax at the close of business this year and then apply early next year? That gives a time bracket of 6 weeks to get a response from UKVI. Her business will/can serve as home tie, amongst others.

4. Her business is a tie. Does she have assets in Nigeria? You've got siblings - are they in Nigeria?

5. I'm not sure about this. Cc: Justwise

I hope the answers help.

I had my biometrics at TLS Ikeja today. I used the self-service option so I had uploaded all my docs before today. Paid for the 8am appointment which cost 37k and #350 sms service.

Very swift process I must say. We got in at 8am and by 8:35am i was shown the exit. All docs n biometrics done.

The docs collected were;

- Photocopy of the data page of International Passport
- First page of submitted application form
- Appointment confirmation page.

That's all.

I look forward to seeing UK Visa in my passport when it returns to me.

Amen

Thank you BizBloke... really do appreciate.

I think I'll do 1 month 1week as you advised...I hope it flys.

I get you...thing is she started her present business in April, so close of business should be about same time next year.... really confused on how to go about this.

No she doesn't have assets. My siblings are over 18...one is studying in Ghana and the other just finished, do you think presenting them will suffice?

You're welcome.

Close of business usually works per calendar year or fiscal year.
Calendar year: December 31st; Fiscal Year (for her business): March 31st. She could work with Fiscal Year and get a TIN from the FIRS office; also find out the Tax Holiday for her industry (how many months her business is free to not pay tax). Tax Holiday is usually 6 months or thereabouts. Then, do her Annual Returns filing by the end of the year & submit that with her CAC documents.

The assets aspect is dicey. There must be something sufficient to bring her back to Nigeria; her business is one but I think she needs more simply because she just established this year; UKVI could see it as a plan she hatched to game the system & flee. This paragraph is hugely subjective - and not backed with facts.

You should also consider her travel history as well.

mum was in similar situation. tax certificate was not ready. she declared retired and my dad is also retired too, had enough funds in her bank statement and even sponsored my dad.just get all necessary docs from your husband and let your parents include all their properties docs and other supporting docs. that will do.my parents got six months, they intended to stay for weeks.
