Thank you for this post, I am in the same birth window as you. The prices you put here for the whole process was it what the doctor you are using sent to you? Cos it's quite expensive from what we have been seeing here and also is it like a private clinic or govt runned Bluefin: 2 Likes |

Hello everyone, new to this forum... I’m a Uk resident but want to travel to Canada to give birth for the passport. I have had a visit visa before pregnancy. I intend to travel in December but I am finding it hard/confusing to get a hospital and doctor. I have a close in Edmonton and not so close one in Ontario but I’d prefer to stay alone as my mom and husby will be with me. Please help guys... due date is Feb and I intend to travel 34/35weeks in December. Thank you in advance, bless you |

na straifhr forward statement. It means assuming labour starts while coming from the airport and u land at the hospital, any dr that is on call/duty at that time will deliver ur baby. But if u will be seeing dr for antenatal then u have to find ur own dr for that. I hope this helps Lankesolanke: |
Re: Giving Birth In Canada by Lankesolanke: 11:51am On Oct 09, 2019 |
I get that but does it mean the doctor for antenatal will still be from their own hospital when I go to register ?? Hotstepper: |

Yes that is what it means.....Hospitala r independent of drs here....u only go to the hospital wen u r in labour or emrgency. Anyother issue gynea attends to u in his/her office outside of the hospital. It is a totally diff. from Naija set up. So POE, u will be asked of ur Dr's information Lankesolanke: |

jayfierce: Yeah thats standard procedure by intl hotels these days. I think the OP had issues, cos the hotel was unable to deduct that test payment, hence when the embassy contacted them to verify the reservation, they gave an unfavourable report. 1 Like |

Hi guys, I thought this Canada thing will be easy since I have a valid U.S visa but I got refused on the grounds that they feel I wont leave Canada after my visa expires. Feeling really sad. Any ideas why they will feel so? Is it ideal to reapply? Your thoughts will help. |
Re: Giving Birth In Canada by earthrealm(m): 8:51pm On Oct 12, 2019 |
prettyama106: the reasons for visa renewal are vast and varied, would be difficult for us to sit behind our keyboards and tell you why. lemme pen down some possible reasons/questions. then the human factor again, the visa officer might be biased/bad mood etc..then quota again..most countries in the western world usually hv quotas for visas issue per set time, considering nigerias vast population vis a vis nos of applicants, nigeria wud hv a higher refusal rate than say ghana/cameroun etc u declared preggy? how much funds was available? travelling alone or with hubby? working in a bluechip company? |
