Indigenous Lagosians are 75% Muslims, all the traditional and most of the political leaders in Lagos are Muslims so get your fact well
That's not true. Christians are much more than muslims in number here. Oba oyekan who reigned before the current one was a Christian. Lagos has a way of rotating their kingship. Except some towns like ikorodu and epe where muslims are on the majority side. Look at every streets in lagos , compare the number of mosques with that of churches,
compare those who go to church on sundays with those who attend jumat on fridays. The ashade family in ogba-agege for instance, who produces kings are mixed, both Christians, muslims and atheist and they have their way of rotating it

That little analogy is a hint for you.

That's not true. The only states in the south west or yoruba nation where you could find muslims as dominant are Osun and Oyo States. In Lagos, Ondo, Ekiti and ogun States, Christians are in the majority. Oyo's population is almost 50/50. In Osun, the population is 60/40 and you have the majority of non muslims in ilesha and ife, except eleyele/lagere area where u see the mallams. No Muslim civilian governor has ruled Ondo and Ekiti states since independence. Gov mimiko would have set the record for the muslims but he converted to christianity at a time. Apart from oyinlola who had a short tenure, no Christian had also ruled osun since independence though his religious belief was controversial. In lagos, Christians are more in population than muslims. You find the majority of Muslim residents in agege and lagos island and ope. Ikorodu is mixed. In fact, there are much more atheist or idol worshippers in ikorodu than in any part of lagos. In my hometown in Ekiti. Only one family has a concentrated number of muslims and we know them. My town is one of the major towns in the state
Great clarification.. thanks

I have come to realize that the tolerant level of muslims(fanatical or not) is too low. If an academic programme e.g exam is fixed on Sunday, you hardly see Christians complaining however, reverse is the case if same exam is fixed on Friday if it coincides with their prayer time, they will protest unnecessary.

To be fair to them, their grievances are totally understandable. Imagine the outrage if said meeting was fixed for 9am on a Sunday. No matter what your views towards religion are, we must always respect other people's religious beliefs and worship hours. Selah

You are very wrong with Lagos. Majority of real Lagosians are Muslims not Christians. You can go and make your findings well.
Ibadan and Lagos are migrant states
Ibadan is yorubas Lagos
Christians from other Yoruba states has increased the Christian population of Ibadan
Especially urban ibadan or southern ibadan
Lagos indigenes are mostly Muslims
But the Lagos we know now includes non indigenous lagosians
Indigenous Muslim of Lagos is 70%
But now indigenous lagos population compared to migrants yorubas from other states is very low
Those ruling lagos now are not even from lagos
So lagos yorubas now (migrants and indigenous)
The Christians yorubas will be more than Muslims
Trust me
Only Iwo iseyin ede ilorin offa kishi has very large Muslim populations
Even in Ilorin, there are Christian dominated areas and Christians are buying up their land
I've seen Ilorin people complain many times on Fb about Christians and churches buying their land
Any large capital in yoruba land u will surely see migrants from other yoruba states there, and they are normally Christians

The indigenous people of Lagos are purely Muslims, it's like 80%Muslims, 15% Christians and 5% traditionalists.
Most of the Christians claiming Lagosians are not originally of Lagos.
The Oba is a Muslim, Tinubu is a Muslim so it's not possible for Lagos to have up to 30% of Christians.

Here is picture of the real Lagosians
Tinubu from osun
Ambode ondo
Sanwo olu and deputy ogun
Indigenous lagosians is 70% Muslims
But lagos is a migrant state
So the Christian yorubas migrants have increased the Christian population

Nigeria and religion Sha, I just don't get it on how a worker will leave his work 1pm daily to pray, just because you're a Muslim.. Some religion no just follow

One of the reasons why Nigeria is unproductive. The Koran doesn't force anyone to pray at 1:00 PM, Islam is very flexible on prayers and your prayers will be answered, if you missed 1:00 PM prayers and pray at 6:00 PM

It is funny to say that, a nation of this magnitude is still tied to the madness of religion.
Progress will be very hard.
Religion is what you believe in as Christians do and not work.
The desease of this religion in the country will enslave progress and then render the nation useless and unproductive if we do not cotion ourselves.quote author=Montracine post=83109905]

Those traditionalist you mentioned in some point claims to be one of these religion. I know someone who is masquerade worshiper and he's also a leader is mosque. And I know one herbalist who is also a BABA ijo. So what are you now talking about?

The bolded, islam is never and would never be yoruba ways of living. The yoruba's are predominantly traditonalist. Most of the muslim and christians don't practice yoruba culture again. Because culture and religion are interwoven. That is why you most muslim women prefer to use ijab instead of the yoruba gale. They have attached the arab culture of dressing to their ways of life.

He is right
Muslims pray 5 times in a day
The times of the prayer doesn't matter
The time matters a lot. Though there is no fixed time for a particular prayer, but its compulsory you pray at the right time. Its wrong to pray asr prayer during magrib time.
