This should serve as deterrence to other Nigerians who are noise makers in a foreign land.
You can't leave a confused nation like Nigeria where every kind of nuisance is allowed and go to the US and constitute nuisance to a sane society.

The way worship houses and clubs blast sound all over the country is a sign that our mental health as a nation needs to be properly assessed.

playing laud music doesn't warrant the killer to end his life.

"serve as a deterrent" is such a silly statement to make. So it's okay to get killed for loud music closure in a foreign country. You can make your point without justifying murder. It's sickening that America has such a shitty gun control law in the first place and anyone can get shot for loud music.

Dear Femi,

Rest in peace till we meet and part no more, but if it is hell i strongly know we will not meet.

But point of correction, parents train your children well with moral and discipline, private school products where they pamper and treat them with unnecessary care, since they pay huge fees to school owners and cannot correct them, now the correction is effected in a bad way.........

Please can the Private school ,he passed out from comment or attest his behaviour to the World while he school there to further conform his personality.

How did they conclude he only went for studies so he shipped naija mentality there. The report said 2 others were shot, they isolated those ones. What if it was the maniac that shot at the guys that was angry he was confronted for being loud. Inferiority complex and my people. Who even said there are no loud Americans....na wa o. They just feel.everything is perfect in America. cheesy

Yes, and they also have estimates of illegal firearms even the ones crossing the border daily...
Does an average nigerian even have funds to purchase a pistol....most of the firearms being seizes from criminals in Nigeria, are locally made, tattered etc..

I know you and almost everyone on this thread think I'm dumb, I understand everyone's point of views..

My point is out of that 390 something million firearms Wikipedia claims USA has it could be that the number of people that have it isn't even up to 100 million..

Y'all are sounding like everyone in the USA has a gun. Most of you even went as far as saying they know of someone who has almost 8 guns at the same time.

If everybody has a gun and carry it around, won't they fire back at the offender as well..

Why does only one person get to shoot at the whole crowd and go Scot free when everyone equally carries a gun around...

The family of an 18-year-old Nigerian student of the Kennesaw State University, who was shot dead on Sunday, believe it was because of an argument on Friday night, over loud music.

Oluwafemi Oyerinde and two other people were shot at Stadium Village Apartments on Sunday morning. The two others survived.

They were on their way out when the suspect opened fire on them. Cobb County police said that they believe they know who they're looking for.

Femi was a freshman at the university. He was studying mechanical engineering and had dreams of joining the military.

Again the fact that something is legal in a place doesn't make it more rampant than a place where it isn't...

I used weed as a case study.

Now does that fact that weed is legal in the US means that all citizens smoke it.

Also, does the fact that weed is illegal in Nigeria means that only few Citizens smoke it?

If you want anything to wide spread in Nigeria just make it illegal...

We act in reverse in this country.

Of course, it does. The law has already limited the legal access of Nigerians to guns. Another factor is prosperity, an average Nigerian who hasn't eaten can't even think of acquiring guns. Nigerians don't have one over twenty of guns in the hands civilians in the USA whether legally acquired ones or illegally acquired ones

Between the shooter and you, I don't know who is more crazy. Firstly, the report didn't specify who was guilty of playing music loudly. You just assumed it had to be Nigerian victim. You are mentally deficient. What if the victims were ones who complained about loud music and the shooter feel being insulted?
Secondly, shooting people dead over loud music is nothing but signs of someone who is seriously mentally sick and needs to be put away.
Thirdly, if this had happened in Nigeria, you would have quickly told us this could only occur in a Shiithole country

Is the US a sane country? I would rather live in Haiti than live in the US where you are not sure of seeing the next day because of mass shooting that can happen at anytime.

Op should release the full story, loud music may be part of the reason the afonja was shot but not the real reason. angry

I swear sometimes S.E brothers on the front page couldn't even use it wisely.
While AFONJAS are using every little opportunity they see on front page to damage our image, our brothers are there slacking.. Some of my S. E brothers no wise and are blind.
It's sad
