it cost nothing less than 12-15m to rent a 2bdr apartment at ocean parade besides service charge of $10k, if you can afford such, you are a big boy.

I frequented there a lot at some point

that is interesting

That's a snippet of the place, it's in banana island.

The place is really chilly, could be boring for some Sha as it's not bubbling with bars and hotels left but for me it's an idea place to live (environs wise).

There is a gym, massive pool, playground for kids, 24/7 light, situated close to the ocean so you can sit by the area and meditate, not to forget za rich neighbours lol smiley

Hmmm...how many Nigerians can really afford living there.

And I am sure most of those apartments will be empty.

I see

but still

I can't pay more than N5m or it's equivalent on rent anywhere in this world

And charging that high rent in a third world failed shithole destroyed zoo country is just a paradox, as it has no basis whatsoever
but then
It's a free country

few haves, many many have nots

Please do Not put California and decent cost of living in the same sentence. grin
I advice anyone except those coming here to gain experience while earning a living wage to stay away except you are okay to p1ss away all your earning in living cost.

My opinions might be biased, I lived in cheap Texas before cutthroat California.

I concur... It's been several years since I heard of the term Expensive Slum aka Lagos.

For the Ikoyi residents, as long as you leave your house to venture into VI or Lekki, you have been Slumalized/Slumbabled too! grin

When I was very young, I used to wonder why people would pay so much and still water from the BarBeach will overrun their homes..

Abeg make we leave this matter. Remember the flood of circa 2017?

Ikoyi sef is included. Except Dolphin Estate and the highbrow Osborne are no longer parts of Ikoyi again cheesy

How I go buy $1,000,000 - $2,000,000 property in a flood zone? Then start begging government for intervention grin

I also believe it is one of those few profession with demand i.e there are always jobs and not to hard to land a position after graduation.
