prettyama106:They will still access you based on your financials, possible reasons fot return/ties,and if you've previously had your baby in U.S, they will think you want to come and do same unless you are applying for medical and if you applied for medical, your finance should be super strong. Or maybe they've reached their quota like someone said cos it seems they ain't giving much visa now unlike begining of the year. |

Candybright: Thanks dear, for financials I think I am very ok on that level I gave them everything. I think it's the baby thing but they should have sense na I still get u.s.a visa nah, just applied for applying sake, to tour. Never knew they will be this hard. 1 Like |

So i have decided to apply online after going through the thread. Wifey is going for childbirth and would choose other while i would be going for tourism, stay 1 week or 10days. Now am a little confused. Option 1 ---should we apply together as i initially planned, or option 2 --- she applies alone, with me serving as her strong tie in home country, i wait and then apply for mine..after she has gotten her visa and about to travel??. If option 1, am guessing i should answer yes in the section below??.

Malevonent:If both of you have travel history and your bank statement is good and maybe if you have a child you are leaving behind, you can apply together. If not, you may have to apply alone. For th3 screenshot you sent, you answer yes to that question if you are applying with her same time and NO of you aint applying with her. 1 Like |

Hello my people!!! Hope you are all doing well? I am currently preparing my documents for my visa application, but getting a doctor's appointment for Calgary hasnt worked out yet..its actually a bit confusing... I put a call to 2 hospitals in SW Calgary and what i am getting is that they dont accept out of pocket patients. I also called a number i got for Peter lougheed hospital for NW Calgary, they accept cash patients but say you have to be in Canada to get an appointment? And even said the cost is 15k CAD So how will i now get a doctor's appointment for the purpose of visa application. Abi i should just apply for a tourist visa or just a regular visiting visa? And indicate that i will be birthing my baby in the LOE? Please gurus in the house, kindly help out... |

Laurieuc:Have you tried the email method someone mentioned some pages back? Like sending mail and getting whatever breakdown/correspondence and adding it to your application. Atall atall. |
Re: Giving Birth In Canada by Hotstepper(f): 11:10pm On Oct 17, 2019 |
The cost of birthing in Alberta is that much and can go as high as 20k so u have to make sure u have more than that amount. For the purpose of medical visa, u have to get both drs and hospital quote and some form of evidence for the officers to see nd not just putting figures in ur LOE. If you apply for tourist visa, 1 or 2 things might happen which is i think is happening alot now 1. u will be called by the embassy to ask if you are preggy 2. turned bk at the aiport in Canada. 3. you might be lucky All the best Laurieuc: 1 Like 1 Share |

Candybright: Ok thanks, this is our first child. This canadian issh, is sure getting dicey. If you declare medical, you would be asked for doc+gospital correspondence....which is impossible to get. You dont declare medical, and somehow suceed, you may have issues at POE again. This would push many into not declaring 2 Likes |

For clarity’s sake pls If I put a call to a doctor and he responds and we fix an appointment without email correspondence How do I input it to my application Should I give the details of appointment in my letter of explanation?? Also..must the doctor be affiliated with the hospital?? How much in dollars is ok to prove to the embassy one is capable of birth tourism?? Thank you! |
Re: Giving Birth In Canada by Hotstepper(f): 4:55pm On Oct 18, 2019 |
You have to use a hospital affiliated to the dr u will be using as that hospital, thus it was advised here to go to hospital website nd find drs or once u book an appt with a dr, ask them which hospital they are affiliated with. Yes, u can put the info in ur LOE but they need more than that as they dont have time to call dr or hospital to confirm the info you have provided in your LOE . Lankesolanke: |

If people wont declear, they will be wastijg money coming nd then sent back or renewing will be war. We have to think outside the box I think or take the risk of tourism......use your discretion Malevonent: 1 Like |

Thank you for your willingness to but I do not think thats the kind of help they need as I believe they can call from Naija. The major problem is having in hand drs that take international parients, hopsital and how to get correspondence Masha2jk: |

This thread isn’t growing cos majority pay to get the info they need So of course they feel and yes they do not owe anyone a thing here Pls let’s enocurage people to do research as oppose to offering solutions in exchange for payment.and no one is saying paying for information is a bad idea but it’s discoruaging The thread isn’t moving cos people won’t give you the doctors they use just cos they paid to get the info unlike the USA thread where people are willing to share doctors and hospital informations. When you send mails to people, they only refer you to hotstepper cos she did the job for them and they wouldn’t share the information for free. Pls guys we beg you to come back and give us a transcript of your journey We will appreciate ,pls be your brother’s keeper We know nothing comes easy in Nigeria 5 Likes |

I do not want to believe that drs r not picking up calls because it is a Nigerian no and I am not the only onr helping ooo. For example Some people said they have found a dr but wont disclose until they are finished and done yet there are people who needs it now to use for application. I know for the sake of people couple of months ago, I called nd few that said yes but they want the patient to be in Canada before they book an appointment. I think these drs do now want their names on visa applications. Atleast make these ppl ask the drs they have if they book appointment even if the person is not in the country. you seens to be yhe only one making efforts sef lookkng for dr nd hospital which is not fair...others should help as na everyone need this info. Candybright: Yes indeed. There are like 4 major hospitals in Alberta under the Alberta Health Sevices...when you google any of the hospitals the email you get is the same email for all...i sent a mail there no reply I googled some of the gyneas in Alberta and only 1 had an independent email to which i sent my enquiry..no reply Thats when i put a call to the Peter Lougheed no. I got and they said i have to be on ground! |
