Even in naija, companies owned by Lebanese subject their staffs to hardship with little payment...if you doubt me go to any industry in apapa owned by a Lebanese and see how much they pay the staffs and number of hours they work without proper care and benefits. These Lebanese companies makes huge profit here in Nigeria and send it abroad. They are so corrupt that they bribe all Nigerian agencies that are meant to monitor them... Na the agencies, they come ard and get bribed and they overlook the maltreatment. Na we dey kill ourselves in this country. Someone that ha e worked for so long and still collecting 80k as salary, no increase total stagnance with increased workload. They are callous and greedy. Na talk we go talk nothing go happen cos our fellow black man don dey bribed and greedy.

Good for them, if you see how hopeless Nigerians castigate their beloved country just because they want to travel. You would weep for them.

Buhari's government is as useless as useless can be, I feel pained for these victims because i have had the opportunity to have a strayed calls from some Africans in similar circumstance, Nigeria does not care about her citizens, The other responsible countries around the world would have assigned a quick intervention But as usual, the Nepotistic Buhari can save an Hausa from Execution in Saudi Arabia but cares not about the southerner
Did you hear that TVC placed a call to the Embassy in Beirut and no reply came from the embassy Just the same way No responsible government in Nigeria or any responsible officer in any Government offices except you are bribing them
Even calling was not the responsibility of TVC but just imagine doing government job and being frustrated

God help them. I have a niece in similar predicament right now. What we'll do is what we're yet to fathom because usually they withhold their passport the moment they land in Lebanon. Mmm...

There are countless Nigerian homes in need of very hardworking househelps to support them for decent wages and good conditions of service. But all we mostly get around here these days are young ladies out to wreck and destroy ones home.

For this reason many families resort to underage househelps so that they can groom them to suit their expectations.

But our girls decide to go abroad in pursuit of dollar and gold and good life in the middle east. You don’t want to know how much they pay the agents who take them out there. It’s always a lot, and enough to engage them in befitting and profitable businesses here in Nigeria.

Unfortunately many are on standby to travel there as well. No amount of discouragement will will settle in with them!

ojive:
The number of Nigerian women and girls who leave for the middle east to offer their services as domestic help has taken on a new dimension, with some reaching out to anyone who can save them from what they allege is domestic slavery.

In the last few weeks, TVC News has been on the receiving end of SOS calls from at least three victims who say their lives are in danger.

We are staying with their stories and connecting the dots to unravel the syndicate behind this criminal but lucrative enterprise.

That was how my cousin went. At first my mum told me she has relocated to Canada. And I was like, Canada? I knew she could not meet the criteria for express entry nor have the money for student visa or tourist visa . I knew it was impossible but I kept my cool. After I argued for a while, she said she heard it was London and not Canada. I laughed so hard hysterically knowing it was a ruse. A month later she sent money to my mum via her sis which made my mum believed she was doing fine there. She then told my mum to tell my sis to be prepared with her international passport that they needed more people there. I then enquired from her to get the phone number she called her with only to discover that it has a country code of +967. I immediately knew it is in the middle east which made me raise alarm. I later discovered that it was Oman. Oman of all places? I immediately downloaded videos of Nigerian women in penal slavery in Oman and played same to my mum with warning that she must discourage her daughter from it. Again, I warned my sis not to accede to the call again.

Most of the victims don't apply due diligence and caution before leaving, believing that the grass is always greener on the other side.

Even if you must travel abroad, *Do not go to Arab Countries* they are worst. Especially Saudi Arabia, Libya,Oman and Lebanon.

Some fathers are adamant hence any contrary opinion will be seen as enemy of progress.

There is a great need to educate Nigeria pple against these cloudy journeys for greener pasture with emphasis on Yoruba people especially the mothers. People should Avoid traveling to all these Arab countries involved in such practices when they are in search of a greener pasture

And then when you realise how these Lebanese bastards use Nigerian women in Nigeria, you would nearly cry.
They treat them like filth in Lagos.

Absolute Scum of the earth with zero scruples.

They undermine any system and use it for their own ends.

The victims easily spent 500k for all their travel, Visa and all.

Wasn't that enough to invest in some form of business in Nigeria?

Should the women know how to sew, build shoes, make hair, make creams and lotions, undertake some lab tests, they wouldn't be exposing themselves to such ills.

Face it, the lack of patriotism is what tempts Nigerians into situations beyond their control.

Last last una go dey alright.

Lol these same people who look down on us have bomb blasts in their capital almost once a month. Pathetic

jaxxy:
We don’t respect each other and ur government doesn’t respect u and then u expect a foreigner and stranger to respect u? That is quite funny.

Their government is just as bad as ours and all the different regions are vying for power, just like Nigeria

There is no job there, the youths and young graduates are complaining, just like Nigeria

Huge Christian/Muslim dichotomy, just like us

False morality and hypocritical attitude to social issues, our twin bother

No constant light, exactly like our own case

Corrupt police and crazy soldiers that go about harassing people while the wealthy politicians loot their coffers, just like who?

So what exactly gives them the right to disrespect us?

You would be surprised to know that even Damascus is in better condition than Beirut, upon all the Syria wahala

That lackadaisical man sitting in Aso Rock should pause his stupid family dramas, summon the Lebanese Ambassador immediately and get him to explain this nonsense

Am working with Lebanese in Nigeria these people are running away from their own country the situation in Lebanon is pathetic that's why they cannot stay in their own country. ..Why will a Nigerian now decides to go to that country in the name of being in abroad I went to somewhere with one Lebanese recently he is running up and down to get Nigerian passport he was born in Nigeria and also living in Nigeria for the past 50years ...Am working with them they don't want to go back so if Lebanese are moving to African countries for survival why should a Nigerian think Lebanon is an ideal place to make it.

Lebanese run away from their country and some Nigerians deem it fit to travel there for whatever...Arab countries are notorious in modern day slavery and their racism towards blacks. Why can't people not heed to common sense. You spent hundred of thousands to millions to fly to Lebanon for greener pastures, how!...why
