Hello everyone, pls come to my aid. I have been trying to move/copy files from my laptop to my external hard drive but the copying speed is so slow, very slow. Copying gets frustrating because the laptop doesn't have a good battery and it keeps getting interrupted due to power cut. Is there a way I can remove the hard drive and use it as an external hard drive? It's an hp 620 laptop

Hello.
Some dell Latitude E6510 may not carry the Bluetooth hardware...however if you can see it in device manager, then you'll need to re-install the drivers.

The worst case scenario is that the Bluetooth hardware has become defective and would need a replacement. You can also get a USB-Bluetooth dongle.

*Cheers*

Hi.

Sad to hear.

The speed of Copying/moving files are influenced by three factors.

1. Source and destination:
If the hard drive in your computer isn't sharp and if the HDD in the external isn't as sharp (ie the lifespan has drastically reduced), then copying/moving files may prove difficult.

2. The usb ports:
Normally a USB 3.0 port is much faster that a 2.0. Your 620 PC has a 2.0 port.

3. The interface connected to HDD:
If your external connector is 2.0, a 3.0 will do a better job in terms of speed.

However since your system has 2.0 ports, I think a 3.0 connector will have no effect.

So,

Your best bet is to get another external storage and see if there any changes. If the files move faster, then your external has stopped being fresh...

Or

Take out the HDD of your laptop, connect with a 3.0 connector, then look for a system with 3.0 ports and confirm the system is working fine
If copy is still slow, then I guess you know where the issue is.

*Cheers*

Kindly contact me if the above "experiment" sounds too technical and stressful...I could help for a token.

Good day,
Please I'm having "not charging" issue with my laptop at random percentages such as 85%, 91% or 99%. It's an hp gaming pavilion 15, the battery is non-removable. The issue started days ago when i had a flat battery while working. Since then it hasn't been able to charge upto 100%. I've tried different solutions online but none has worked so far. The only ones i haven't tried yet are bios update, windows update and battery recalibration. I haven't tried bios update due to warnings of problems that comes with it sometimes. Hoping to get further suggestions here thanks.

I was trying to create a bootable USB drive for windows 10 and while the process was on, I suddenly got this screen. It has been like this for over 10mins and I don't know if I should hard reset. The system I used runs window 8

Hello.

*Creating a bootable USB drive doesn't consume much system resources. Neither does it require any high GPU or CPU power any more than copying files does.
So, this error shouldn't come up.

*If the software used in creating the bootable USB requires activation, chances are the registry may have been tweaked. Hence the blue screen.

****When you successfully boot, uninstall the software and download "Win to Flash".

*Cheers*

Thank you Razak. The software I was using to create the bootable USB was Rufus (which doesn't require installation, I just ran the .exe file like that).

And it was my friend's system so I was really scared because of his system files. I removed the USB stick, forced shutdown and now the system is now back to normal. I have currently used another system to create my bootable disk.

Hello reader, good morning.

I use my phone as Hotspot to my laptop. I have been using it like this since 2016. But since today it has refused to connect. My laptop is no longer getting wifi signals even when the Hotspot is on. I feel so empty this morning because of this. I don't have the money to take it to a technician or get a modem yet.

Is there any 'fix it yourself' for this kind of problem? Please help me. I can't continue my programming tutorials because of this.

i use a hp pavilion dm4 notebook but the gaming performance i am getting is not satisfactory, despite the core i5 2.40ghz processor and 3gb of RAM. I was wondering if there would be a change if i upgrade the RAM from 3gb to 4gb or there about, and also upgrade the operating system from to windows 7 to windows 10. lastly, can an external graphics card be installed on this laptop? if so, any idea how much it would cost? thanks

You need a more powerful laptop, that processor is the limiting factor and you can't upgrade it.
