I Don’t Know If Nigeria Still Want Me – Augsburg Defender Uduokhai Unsure Of International Future With Germany

On loan Wolfsburg defender Felix Uduokhai says he is not sure of his international future with Germany and he is also at lost if Nigeria are still interested in luring him from Germany, Owngoalnigeria.com reports.

Uduokhai is on a season long loan to Augsburg and so far he has been outstanding this season but his performance hasn’t earned him a spot with the U21 team of Germany and that has left him unhappy.

While voicing out his disappointment at not getting called up the 22 year old cast doubt over his chances with Germany owing to the snub and says he has not been contacted with Nigeria since he was approached before the 2018 World Cup in Russia.

He turned down the request to follow Nigeria to the 2018 World Cup and instead honoured a call up to the German U21 team although he made it clear that he is still open to the idea of representing Nigeria in the future.

"I was disappointed when I didn’t get called up to the U21 and at my age I wonder if I will get opportunities in the future. It’s my dream to play for Germany at the highest level but that isn’t certain for now”

” Before the World Cup, Nigeria approached me but I don’t know if they still want me because they have not been in touch since the last time”,

At least he is honest with himself, and also honest enough to admit that Nigeria actually approached him, unlike one cheap liar from the UK

Next time edit ur work to make it look appealing @Sheyishemba

Felix Uduokhai's words

” Before the World Cup, Nigeria approached me but I don’t know if they still want me because they have not been in touch since the last time”,

One of Komekn's argument in favour of Dominic Iorfa is that Nigeria is still begging the German born Nigerians who turned us down earlier

From Uduokhai's statement however, it means that the German born and English born Nigerians are being treated the same way.

No emotive bias or prejudice anywhere

I think Rohr is deliberately ignoring him because that guy could send disappointing Iwobi to the bench. I strongly believe Rohr doesn't want that to happen.

Why would Rohr be worried by the possibility of a better player coming on to displace an incumbent and by doing so improve his results and ratings?

Surely any coach, army general, tradesman etc will want the best tools available to him right?

So if Rohr has overlooked even extending an invite to his guy all through his tenure when he has called up players who were almost totally unknown to the average naija fan like sareren bazee, ebuehi, maduka, semi ajayi and most recently Solomon otabor that should tell you that whilst his selections are largely on merit there are still influences at play. We can call this the 'Nigerian Factor'.

Having said that Eze will be called up if not in the next squad it will be in the following one.

I won't argue with anyone comparing him to Iwobi at this time. Simply not worth it.

Naija fans still remain anywhere belle face
I'm surprised you are surprised, let this one be invited and have one or two bad games you'll see as they'll call him championship flop and berate the coach for dropping iwobi a proven epl player for him

You may remember a certain Alaba that plays for Bayern Munich. He wanted to play for Nigeria but was asked for Bribe before invitation and he then walked back to Germany.

I don't know if it's true, but what is incontrovertible to me is there is something. AMISS.

Once the top rated teenager in English football Ikpeazu is playing for Hearts.

Barcelona expected to target Neymar instead of Osimhen
17/10/2019

The in-form Nigerian forward has been rumoured to interest the Camp Nou outfit and Goal takes a look if such a transfer could be possible

The chances of Victor Osimhen joining Barcelona in next summer's transfer window is very remote, Goal understands.

Several reports are linking the Nigeria international as a potential replacement for Luis Suarez, who will be leaving at the end of the season.
The Uruguayan has a year left to run on his contract but it will not be renewed.

Even though Osimhen is on form at Lille, where he has had a hand in 10 goals (eight goals, two assists) in 11 appearances, there are no guarantees the 20-year old can provide the kind of consistency of Suarez at Camp Nou, scoring 183 goals, and providing 96 assists.

Goal's correspondent in Barcelona has learnt their concern over Osimhen is compared to Luka Jovic who enjoyed a breakout season at Eintracht Frankfurt last term, scoring an impressive 27 goals, including 10 en route to the Europa League semi-finals. However Jovic has failed to replicate his form at present club Real Madrid, where he is yet to score and has been named in the starting XI just twice.
Goal understands the Blaugrana will rather attempt to pursue a familiar face in Neymar again, after a return from Paris Saint-Germain failed to materialise this summer.
The Brazilian hotshot donned the blue and red jersey between 2013 and 2017, scoring 105 competitive goals in 186 appearances.

Alaba issue was not true, it was a fake news about him wanting to play for the u17 team

Alaba never considered playing for naija for your information

I am surprised at the attack Iwobi is getting on this thread following his nice performance yesterday. Iwobi left the field to a standing ovation from the Everton fans due to their pleasure in his performance.

I think Iwobi deserves better than he is getting here. He still has more to offer and is improving.

The fake news was that Alaba was never asked to bring bribe. Komekn knows it but is just deliberately bringing it up to spread whatever he intends to spread.

However, Alaba wanted to play for us at the u17 level but did not get the nod due to logistics reasons. At the u17 level back then was strictly a grassroot development program and we were not spending extra money to fly in foreign young teens to participate in camping and training.

Alex Iwobi - 9

A creative hub in the middle for Everton, looking to attack West Ham whenever picking up possession. They had no idea how to deal with him in the first half and his work rate never dropped until being replaced by Sigurdsson late on.

Iwobi had a 9 rating in the Liverpoolecho after his performance yesterday. I wonder how such a player can get an average tag. undecided

Newcastle to start with Lille winger in major rebuild

2 hours ago 11:41

Newcastle have set their sights on Lille striker Victor Osimhen as they plan on a major rebuild in January, reports The Chronicle.

The Premier League club have reportedly sent scouts to watch the 20-year-old, who was named as September's Ligue 1 Player of the Month after two goals and two assists in five league games.

The young forward now has eight goals in 11 appearances for the club since joining from Belgian outfit RSC Charleroi in the summer, having also scored on his full Nigeria debut in a 2-2 friendly draw against Ukraine in September.
