joeGH:Here in Nigeria, it's an insult and degreding to start competing with Ghana in terms of Infrastructural Dev, in terms of foreign income , standard of living. When you are done competing with Togo, Benin and Sudan you can then call us to begin to access you with one of the states in Nigeria. Thank you 2 Likes |

I remember when your short monkey looking President wanted to pass a law that will enable the prosecution of those caught engaging in homosexual acts, but as soon as your masters in America and UK threaten to stop the aids your poor country get, your government recants, today Ghana is a tourist center for gays, tunneling the ass of poor Ghana boys with small dollars in exchange, but in Nigeria we shunned them, gays here get 14years imprisonment, so we don't ask for aids from any nation, we are self sufficient...I only go to Ghana to relax cos its quiet like my village... without Nigeria's investors, cash inflow and market you guys will suffer, but we can live without you. Custom officials are using this border closure as an excuse to extort people at the border. They are stilling there as we talk. Those people are heartless. They would ask you of your passport and if you don't provide it they will make you pay. |

vaxx2: You are wrong. An average Nigerian in Ghana wants a measure of comfort. The kind we are used to back home in Nigeria and in order to get this comfort we pay heavily for it because an average Ghanaian can afford to live in a room or a chamber and hall as they call it while using a public toilet as convenience. They do not even bother to include a kitchen in most homes and prefer either cooking outside or making it in a way that the person renting creates their own kitchen in a place called a porch which is meant to be the balcony region at the entry of the apartment. Life is not easy for Ghanaians here but a bit easier for Nigerians because whenever we go to ghana, we go prepared thus enjoy relative more comfort than they do. 1 Like |

Tetehjewels:Keep your nonsense to yourself. I know Nigerians living condition in Ghana. living like a parked of fish embroiled in sardines or renting up a shop which they also called a home is what you called an average Nigerians. Telling Ghanaians life is not easy is so stupid , is life easy for Nigerians in Nigeria? At least this ordnairy Ghanaian have. access to free health care, free access to education for their wards. Ghanaians are comfortable, And as for those. you see in Accra living wreched life, they choose to migrate for a better life , it is not that they cant afford to live a decent life in the village. This homeless population you see have large parcels of land for farming and shelter in their hometowns but the condition attached to live in Accra makes them live such a life. In short, the majority of Ghanaians do have the means to live a decent life. The only Nigerians living a comfortable life in Ghana ( if not diplomat) are either into fraud or prostitution. only few Nigerians can claim is living a decent life in Ghana. most of Nigerians coming into Ghana are poor, they just want to excape Nigeria and find a decent life elsewhere. 1 Like 1 Share |

wirinet:Another ignorance here, anyway let me enlight you a little ... The depreciation of cedi is structural and not necessarily due to any form of mismanagement of the economy by the government in power. Ghana inflation is going down 7.9 percent, producer price index is going down, economy is growing at 8 percent(one of the highest in the world) Therefore cedi depreciation can never be attributed to weak economy fundamentals because all economy index proves Ghana economy is healthy, so it's structural. in a nut shell, the main depreciation or appreciation of the Cedi is fundamentally determined by the supply and demand for US dollars. in Ghana. The supply of USD is mainly from foreign reserves which is dependent on the amount of foreign exchange Ghana receive from exports and foreign aid. With Ghana now classified as a lower middle-income country, the foreign aid component would continuously dwindle. unlike Nigeria(lower income country) that still received a larger chunk of foreing aid to support her expenditure. in millennial , the only time naira has perform better without the support of CBN is 2000 and 2001. since then, naira have been overvalued according to IMf by 20 percent and with constant injection of dollars to back up naira. naira is not in free flow like cedis. naira is strongly backed by CBN constant dollar injection. cedis is free flowing based on supply and demand. the recent Nigeria recession exposed the weak fundamental of Nigeria economy and the stabilization of naira . when. a dollar is been exchanged for almost 600 naira. Assuming oil price remain at 48 dollar per barrel, naira will have crumble further. check cedi value within 2016 and 2017 and let's talk agian... And to your suggestion about hyper inflation cedi was not redominated because of hyper inflation, infact at the time of redomination in 2007, Ghana inflation was 12 percent. it was simply redominated as part of the government’s efforts to convince citizens and markets that hyper-inflation is a thing of the past. Inflation was as high as 116% in 1977, 117% in 1981 and 123% in 1983. 1 Like 1 Share |

Thegoodone13: If China had closed their borders they wouldn't have the highest level of export in the world. Why will a country allow your products if you won't allow theirs ? They rapidly industrialized and began to produce value added goods that the rest of the world can't do without. While the rest of the world was selling China rife and stone, China was selling them television sets, clothes, high tech machines and shoes. China became capable of producing everything and thus, while it's borders are open, China is able to export way more than it imports because there is nothing another country can produce and sell to China that it can't itself produce at a much cheaper price. 1 Like |

Re: Ghana Trade Union Vote To Ban Made-in-nigeria Products Following Border Closure by Nobody: 8:55am On Oct 21, 2019 |
vaxx2: I can see you are confused. Be it in the village or city Ghanaians are suffering. Those you claim migrated to Accra for a better life was it not suffering in the village that caused them to relocate? I have been to villages in Ghana and the story is same. They do not have free health care what they have is subsidized health care through health insurance. They pay for tests and treatment but at a cheaper rate so its not free. Those who enjoy free health care are those employed with multinational companies and enjoy private health care which is same as in Nigeria. The Nigerians who live in shops are similar to those traders in Nigeria who sell in the day and sleep in the shops at night which they sell from. Most Nigerians live very well in Ghana and most are business men who own businesses in Accra. Kumasi or Cape coast or even Osu. A very small number of Nigerians are into fraud here. Majority of fraudsters here are Ghanaians known as Sakawa boys who include money rituals and fetish means into their illicit business and even their government in some way encourages it by giving licenses to fetish houses and airing their fetish rituals and fetish advertd on their multi TV. Many Ghanaians even in the villages who own farm lands are too lazy to farm. They would rather ride Okada and drink from bar to bar while chasing anything in skirts. Personally I got over 80 acres of farmland for free here because it was just wasting with the family only content with Farming on a plot where they planted cassava for their daily fufu pounding and consumption. Government schools offer free education but not free learning tools. They pay for books and other learning tools except school fees and make up for the free education through making the books expensive. Stop spewing ignorance. |

Just30:Free floating and you're not ashamed, the Japanese yen and South Korean won are free floating too but are not depreciating. The cedis has been depreciating from when it was redenominated since over the last 15 years. Even if we agree that it only depreciated in the last two months, why from 0.92 to over 5 cedis, just under two months. The Chinese Yuan is not free floating but tell us how the Ghanaian economy is better than theirs or even that of Nigeria 1 Like |

And again, what is taking the larger chunk is the import of Nigeria refined oil. Nigeria lacks the capacity to refined its own fuel hence importation. Ghana once import refined fuel into Nigeria once or twice. Ghana cant leech on Nigeria, it is expensive to do that.....it is rather the other way round... 1 Like 1 Share |

Health care here in Ghana is not free. You pay for medical insurance and still pay for treatment and drugs at a subsidized rate. Speak on the things you know and not from your place of ignorance. Health care is not guaranteed for every Ghanaian because they die daily like fish over easily treatable conditions. Even their so called health care workers are ignorant of basic drugs for treatment. Every saturday here is a burial day for Ghanaians and you need to witness how many go on every saturday. Herbal medicine is king here and not proper medical care. It is common sense that human thrive to have a better life whatever the kind of life they are living, Even dangote still hope for the best. it is stupid you don't understand the Ghanaian moving to the city is basically becuse of better life and not because they are poor in the village( this people you see in Accra are not homeless in the village, they own a landed and farming property) How can you called such people poor? Young man when they still live in mud houses with pit latrines in the village then i can say they are poor. Even their young men live in such mud houses and refuse to farm due to laziness. Moving to the city does not make it easier because they end up mass renting a room and go to public bath houses to bath daily. Some of them even prefer living in the village and travel to accra to work from monday to friday and return to their village on weekends. majority of Nigerians living in Ghana are highly poor, they can't even afford a decent accommodation in the village talkless of the town . someone like you must be living an improvised life. what is your work in the village? there is something that is taking you there and that is simply poverty, you want a new heaven. Nigerians do not live in the villages of Ghana. The conditions there are too appalling for a Nigerian to cope. I do not live in a village. If you check my posts i Live in the central region and i am sure that for even you CENTRAL does not mean suburbs. You can read up the rest about me in my previous posts here and then cure yourself of this foolishness in your head. Nigerians case is even worst, Nigeria is reported to own the highest poor individual in the world . over 90 million Nigerians are poor, that immediately crush India, Nigerians village is even another headache. try plying lagos to Abuja road. check owo, akoko, ibilo, Jolene and co and see how youth are wasting up thier life . no work, no education , even the one engaging in okada are more less on instalment .very wretched community. Nigeria owns that much number of poor due to our large population which is the largest in the black community in the world. If we as a population of 200m have 90m who are below poverty line then we are richer and better off than Ghana who with 28m still struggle with poverty to the extent their ladies are sleeping with men in exchange for fish. 110m Nigerians are not poor and live above the poverty line. In Abuja particular, most Nigerians can't even afford a decent life , so they move to kubuwa, yanya and other suburbs of the area. Nigerians are more like slaves in their own capital state. What you see happening in Abuja is what is happening in the ENTIRE Ghana just so you get my point. Abuja is just a location in Nigeria while Ghana is a country.
