Lexus is apparently more reliable, not too much, but just enough. The most important thing when deciding between any two vehicles should always be safety, both passive and active. In this case though, it seems that both cars show similar levels of passenger protection all together, so that won't break a tie. But one thing that actually could is the performance, with Lexus offering somewhat better performance, just enough to call it quicker. It does come at a cost though, and that's the fuel consumption... It's not difficult to say then that if I'd need to make a choice, it would definitely be the Audi. Anyway, that's the most objective conclusion

if ES had any competition in the Mercedes lineup, it is still the E class. Lexus makes two midsize sedans. The GS and the ES, the GS is the better of the two so it generally represents lexus in the midsize category. But it doesn’t mean that the ES is reduced to a C class or IS competition. Naaaa!

I just told you what the ES is. It's in no way an E Class competitor. A fancy Camry is exactly what it is.

every auto maker competes with eachoda. Benz competes with lexus, acura, bmw, lincoln, porshe, audi, tesla, cadilac, e.t.c as luxury brands
Same way Honda competes with mazda, ford, Chrysler, Toyota, Nissan, volkswagen, as mainstream brands. They all compete.

Both are equal stock, even though the Merc has way more torque and power. The Audi is also far more tunable, though.


Audi RS6: 3.6s
E63s: 3.0s

E63s is faster.

Mercedes' fastest car is the AMG Gt63s doing 0-60 in 2.9s.
Audi's fastest car is the R8 V10 Plus, 0-60 in 2.6s.

I have no idea how Mercedes-AMG is somehow better than Audi's performance arm.

Anyways, Audi cars are more complex. In Most Audi Cars, mechanics have little space to work on almost any fault part on the engine bay and this resorts to removing bumpers, lights, radiator/condenser etc and this lead to high cost of maintenance.

Audis also have a more futuristic (high-tech) appearance as well. Using an audi car makes you feel like you’re the boss in a sci-fi movie
