I always said whoever owns indomie must be one of the richest persons or entities in Nigeria. Very few products move as fast as indomie in this country.

Lol
No longer fast moving consumer goods

But lightening speed consumer good

Some fools would still commend this rubbish!

When are we gonna start building factories and industries that manufactures capital goods? angry

What do you think the lekki free trade zone is for there are already over 15 factories set up there and the port will attract more companies to set up there because they can import or export their goods quicker and it is more reliable companies like Kelloggs, arla, Aslan and loving home factories have already set up their plants there, also there are plans to set up a cocoa processing plant where they will export cocoa butter and other cocoa based cosmetics and since it is close to the port it is much easier

Look at the speed with which this company was turning out businesses one after the other till it hit the goldmine.

Big lesson.

Spread your net far and wide.

There is no ibaka deep seaport that one has not been approved warri deep seaport has been approved and is being funded by China exim Bank they are just solving who will build it and who gets the profit.

Bakassi deep seaport has acquired the land, been approved and is now looking for potential investors in the project.

Indomie?

Though it will create jobs

What about the health implications?

Don't make it your staple meal.

Eat indomie perhaps once in 6 months.

Dude, did you actually read my comment?

I said Capital goods production NOT consumer goods for god's sake! angry

Maybe you don't know what I mean by that. When are we going to start producing machineries, tools and equipment used for the production of consumer goods? Just imagine the rail-road crap. Why do we have to import steel when we can simply produce ours... Why is Ajaokuta still non-working? angry

Meanwhile, they also need investors for the Lekki Airport (I heard about the airport for the first time in 1989 and it still hasn't been built).

Yes, but in my own opinion, I think the development needs to spread to other Locations like Ondo State, Edo, Delta, Rivers, Cross River and Akwa Ibom.

These states are also close to the sea, they can have sea ports too.

The way Lagos is going, the population explosion could be uncontrollable. Except if they want to make Lagos as Industrial sites while other states will just be Residential states only (where people will transit daily via trains).

At the end, Lagos would be an industrial hub.

Are you unaware some communities prevent infrastructural development for the sake of settlement of the youth?

Dangote initially planned to situate his refinery in Ondo State, but the host communities frustrated him with outrageous demands. Fashola came and snatched him from under their nose and ensured that the host communities in Lekki did not overburden him.

These are businesses, not government. They are not charities. They will go where business is good and conditions are favourable. The challenge to other states is to make the conditions in their states favourable for business.

That is why development cannot get to those States mentioned. That is the more reason many businesses site their companies in Lagos

To think that the first time the Vaswani man brought in a cartons of Indomie noodles was for his own consumption. He gave out a few packs to friends and Nigeria neighbors and they loved the taste. Whenever he traveled, they'll order. That triggered the business genius in him and he started importing the noodles poco a poco.

Today, it's the biggest noodles brand in West Africa. Local production commenced and it's a Nigeria staple these days.

I remember when Obasanjo extradited the Vaswani brothers because of sharp practices and tax evasion, today, they are still bossing Nigeria's economic landscape like colossus.

Indomie is its most popular product, that's why it is mentioned, but the company is also into real estate (they also once owned a car company called The Honda Place).

Its real estate arm is a huge investor in the Lekki Deep Sea Port project and that's the port that they are referring to. The Lekki Port is part of the Lekki Free Trade Zone and the Lagos State Government has been working on the project since the early 2000s (it's been planned on paper long before that).

Meanwhile, Dangote has already built a massive jetty in the area because the Apapa Port could not handle the equipment that he needs for his refinery.

Not Lekki Free Trade Zone rather it is Lagos Free Trade Zone (LFTZ) & Lagos State Govt. Actually there is nothing like Lekki Free Trade Zone, it is Lekki Free Zone (LFZ). People do make this mistake alot.
