Ghana education system understand the value of regional integration and knows the importance of comparative advantage. just relax , Ghanaians diplomat will sugar talk Nigeria into submission. ( Since you guys value unproductive pride than real deal) already Nigeria goverment have agreed on temporary corridor.... You know she is currently new secretariat of the Africa free trade agreement. expect more roles of diplomacy from Ghana.... that is what liberal and open education is all about |

Thegoodone13:wherever you formulate your figure? Ecowas without Nigeria will roughly stood at 150 million, so if Nigeria population is added to it that will give us 350 million . And you said the populatuon of 200 million does not need 150 million populations? what logic is that? if Nigeria successfully revamp its local manufacturing sector , will it consume all its product all alone? the truth is, ecowas need each other because there is nothing special between Nigeria as a state and the rest. no ecowas state is worth over 8 thousand dollar in purchasing power per capital......country with the highest is cape Verde and it is just a little more than Ghana. this is the reason south Africa will see ecowas as a stepping stones and indirectly control our economy ... no single bank in ecowas state is as rich as MTN ....and you are telling me Nigeria is in anyway better.... the whole total capitalization of Nigeria banks both home and abroad is not in anyway up to capitech bank in South Africa.. .. and you call Nigeria with its poor giant population a nation that can sustained on its own. can any Nigeria bank borrowed Nigeria goverment 40 billion dollars? * which is projected as what Nigeria need annually to fasten development). if Nigeria must get such amount, she will have to tapped into external market which has a very high interest. if Nigeria leader must take a protective measure , it must be together with ecowas state. without that, Nigeria can't develop with its 200 million population ( It is just big but poor).... I further says , it shouldn't just be ecowas , it should be africa ....... 1 Like |

vaxx: What a load of hogwash. Stop fooling yourself. Ghana as well as many other West African countries require the purchasing power of Nigerians. Otherwise, Ghana can simply direct it's manufactured and imported goods to the other 150million consumers in the rest of ECOWAS. We both know that is not possible because the purchasing power of those other countries pale in comparison to Nigeria. Again stop fooling yourself. 1 Like |

Mariory:You are the one fooling yourself..... Nigeria has the third highest purchasing power per capital in ecowas state , follow closely behind Ghana and cape Verde. and you stupidly think Nigeria can grow without considering this comparable neighbours? There is a reason Nigeria investors are flying over benin republic and togo to established in Ghana, it is about the purchasing power of this country .. Ghana is smarter than you lots, the reasons is pushing and championing africa regional trade, she knows she can't developed with its poor 350 million neighbour and need to annexed with other giant neighbour from the same continent. 350 million people with a purchasing power per capital that is below 8000 dollars is poverty. and it is better Nigeria understand its fake temporal policy 1 Like |

You are the type of idiots that made them insult Nigeria education system Even in the GDP per capital ( imf/ world bank ) placed Ghana ahead of Nigeria But it is simply window dressing . both nation are poor and two must consolidate a strong economy force to uplift their citizens out of poverty. . vaxx: You are wrong, The problem with Nigeria is Nigerians, if we shut out all external factors and roll up our sleeves and get to work you will be made to eat your words. This measure does not only adversely your country it also affects ours, but it is needed for us to move forward. Millions have been invested into agriculture, if closing the border will force it to yield result in this country so be it. But then again you fail to see the violations that lead to the border closure, sometimes this is the only language people like you understand. Did you even read the statements from the Nigerian Minister of finance? Yeah you will say you guys don't have to close the border cos you have your own means and tax system, well this is not Ghana, you guys will never get such system to work here with such population and land mass, So this is our own way of tackling the problem, we don't owe you guys any explanation when we are trying to fix a Nigerian problem, in country like Nigeria you don't need due process (this is were corruption thrives) we need the necessary process. I did not see you guys complain when Nigeria was leaking millions of dollars importing tooth picks and ogbono soup, now we want to look inwards do a thorough house cleaning you guys are singing. Did you guys depend on imported rice to get where you are? Do you think Ghana will be up to scratch if they were importing everything... Come to think of it, Ghana are only more organised than Nigeria because it's a small country compared to a country like Nigerian with over a 150 million people were corruption and diversity thrives. The very moment Nigeria starts to channel their resources inwards, you guys will be playing catch up. Nigeria is already in danger, it's time to wake up from our slumber. 2 Likes |

vaxx:GDP per capital is by dividing a country's gross domestic product gdp by its total population. The population of Ghana is way too small compared to Nigeria hence a little difference between their per capital. Compared to Nigeria, both Ghana’s gdp and population are smaller. Ghana having a slight higher per capital does not make the country as an entity a bigger economy or a country with a bigger purchasing power. |
