Just read an article from Kola Ologbondiyan, National Publicity Secretary of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) on the coming Governorship elections in Kogi and Bayelsa States. This is a rebuttal.

Apart from emotions with no substance in the interview. As a keen observer on political development in Nigeria, I can categorically state that there is a very strong likelihood of APC taking over both States next month.

Below are some of the reasons:

KOGI STATE
1. Learning especially with the events from Kano and Osun States in the last election, it has been observed that Gov. Bello is not one that is ready to leave things to chance. He has shown very keen interest in the events leading up to the election. And we expect such vigilance throughout the electoral process.

2. There have been an unwavering support from the APC National body. Recently, the Federal Government granted Governor Bello's request for funds. This will help pay up salary and pension arrears. Bello will not have any problem funding his reelection campaign.

3. PDP has turned its campaign to a Wada family affairs. They will definitely go the Adelekes way. The Wada do even have a single Davido firepower.

4. So many aggrieved members in PDP. To the extent that those earlier appointed to manage the campaign rejected the offer.

5. Majority of Kogi people just want things to get better, not to hand it all over to the Wada's family.

BAYELSA STATE
1. The choice of the APC candidate is one of the first thing APC did right. A candidate who is very popular and well admired by the people. A vibrant young man who knows the challenges facing Bayelsa State.

2. The chances of APC winning Bayelsa State is also getting brighter due to the person who is the PDP candidate. The greed of Gov. Dickson in fostering his stooge on the party against popular demand.

3. Over the years, Governor Dickson has sidelined for President Goodluck Jonathan and other political bigwigs in the party. This is time for payback.

4. Gov. Dickson from all indications has failed, especially when you consider the huge Federal allocations the state Receives with its little population. Yet there is not enough development on ground to justify it.

5. APC in previous elections have made a significant in road in Bayelsa in terms of number votes and seats won, it is most likely this is time APC in the state will have a breakthrough.

Are you from Kogi?

Dreamers are allowed to enjoy their price in the spiritual realm. I don't know of how Kogi will turn out, but the Countryman State of Bayelsa is Douye Diri for taking. Douye Diri will defeat David (Pussycat) Lyon.

BONUS - DINO MELAYE

For many political observers, this definitely the time to relate Melaye to either a Blogger on Twitter, Actor in Nollywood or just relieve him of his Senatorial position so he can take up a full career as a musician.

Over the years, Dino has stepped on political toes, turned on friends and camped with opponents. With no more cover from all angles it is time for everyone to take a swing at Dino Melaye's detriment.

Any money spent by Dino on this election is a complete waste.

sdm is getting his senatorial district back. If you know you know .2 out of 3 reps are pdp .and they are from kogi west senatorial district. Kogi state governorship election is in pdp bag.

At least Bayelsa is well deserved for Apc due to Dickson's strong heads
