Boss I never said she was wrong, this is a case of logics and ignorance either from me or her part... If she have a case, she should forward it to Bolt and let them do the needful, I didn't even check to know if the app display toll gate added, all I told her is I'm going to take displayed fee... Need you know (I may b wrong), bolt do deduct 20 percentage from total fees including toll gate, Dats 60 naira, which account do you want to to bring that from?

I've seen both fair and unfair part of this hustle, I don't use saka or have the intention of cheating anyone, like I once said, I won't place myself at the receiving end to please riders (or all riders).
not true, bolt doesn't charge commission on tolls

Bolt don't take commission from your toll bro.
You can always check this thing yourself.

When you close work, calculate the total tolls you paid, substract it from your revenue.
Divide the remaining from your revenue by 100 and multiply by 80. Then add the toll to it.
It will give you exactly what is showing on your Net earning.

Eg.
You made 15k(tolls and commission inclusive)
Your paid #900 toll that day.

15k-900 = 14.1k.

14.1k/100 = 141...

141*80 = 11,280.

11280+900 = 12,180.

12.18k is what your net will show if you earned 15k and paid 9h toll in a day.

Its a private job-bank to be precise

To a large extent yes I can navigate abuja routes, not all though.

I reside at Asokoro and as for rider influx/movement, not so much but I believe I can get help from colleagues/ex-colleagues who are into the business

As regard the HP I can come up with down payment that can cover a 2months or 3

Truth is, the HP is what I am a bit concerned about, although the agreement will be for a monthly return

How many months will it take to service the HP?

Is the vehicle tokunbo ( brand new foreign used).

I
How sure are you about the vehicle? performance wise, if its naija used.

Why not do this?

Ask the person to allow you do rental for two weeks. This will enable you to see how the car performs. ( if its naija used)

The two weeks is a test of your ability, you would have to forgo two weeks of your savings to test-run.

NB: Do not pay money in advance on HP. Do it weekly going forward ( that's worst case). and not monthly, you are going to need funds when you start.

Offline trips r wat really gives money in Abj. Fares on uber n taxify r ridiculously low given the comfort of the rides involved.

Let's run a weekly scenario

HP- 25k
You- 25k
Fuel- 20k

Net- 70k.

That's a tall order for a beginner. So start from rental, so that you can learn the ropes.

Good morning people,

Please I am on a verge of going into this business here in Abuja.

However, I am new in town. From enquiry and all I have read here, with the business being saturated, I really need you guys' advise.

Tired of my 9-5job (pays less than 80k) which I want to quit and I have a Honda civic 2010 model at my disposal for HP.

Please guys, I urgently need your raw advise

You need to understand that ehailing is not just to drive to make money moving ppl from point A to B is a platform to network and create business relationships with riders that can do business and willing to do business. Think outside the box.

Just forget what happened bro.
Your rider was a hungry man/woman.

I once took 3girls from Marina to Farmcity admiralty around 9pm.
They entered and said Oga please be fast, follow the fastest route, please don't enter traffic.

I went through Ikoyi link bridge cos it's the fastest and even the shortest distance. On approaching the toll one Shouted, oga why did you follow this place?

Me: what's wrong with this place?

Rider: cos we will pay extra #100. You should have followed the other one.

Me: is #100 a problem to you.

Rider: yes. Do you know if we have money?

Me: I will discount #100 for you at the end of the trip.

Rider: Thank you sir.

Some things are negligible bro.

This is the same thing some riders do; they leave their cars at home and hope to take Uber to God forsaken roads, but when drivers reject the trips, they become furious and start ranting about how it is unprofessional

I wouldn't advice u to quit your job for now
See if u can get any car u will use for weekend for a month, to test the market & to see if it is something u can do. These ill mannered ladies we have as riders are no longer making this job easy for guys without thick skin for insults

Greeting Uber/Bolt Partners

My name is Seyi from Znap. we provide QR Code as a Service.

We operate a QR Code Manager solution called ZnapQR. With Znap, you can create, track and manage QR Code Campaigns for brands.

I have a proposal for the house which can drive additional revenue. It is a QR-Based in-Car Advertising Service.

How it Works
1. We will generate a customized QR Code Sticker for each Driver
2. Each Driver will stick it in a strategic area in their vehicle to catch the attention of Riders
3. For each unique engagement with the QR Code Sticker, we will pay the rider a fee.

How to Apply
1. Registrations is FREE, No fees
2. Riders don't need to pay for the QR Sticker, Znap will cover the bill for it.

This is no big deal, the rider no just get money. I can't count the number of times riders pay the toll even when it's a card trip. Some even give me their card to use, some will tell u to go to exact fare that they have change

#11200 - 300 = 10900.

10900/100 = 109.

109*80 = 8720.

8720 plus 300 toll = #9,020.
