Even though I don't support the action of those who criticized the team due to tribal inclination, but, I didnt see u this vocal back in 2015 when Forgiveness was doing same on the Amunike led team. He said Amunike took bribe to field his Igbo boys from owerri(nwakali) and umuahia(chuks)

I already knew Amunike as a tribalist long before then. I mean during his days in the SE.

Now that we can see that the dark green jersey is just a jersey we should forget about superstition and luck and focus on hardwork and proper planning wink

c'mon I can stick my nose on the ground...had it been they wore the other Jersey they would have won so easily...

this jersey made them to go through this stress.... if it were the super eagles...it would have been a draw...
wish the nff can replace it with something else..

how are you doing Doc. it has been a while

Too many tribal bigots on this thread

Old members of this thread showing how rotten they are tribally.

It was an eyesore reading comments from you guys

As soon as the goals started raining in, all of you become dumb and fingerless.

The so called tribes they degraded and insulted won the game for us.

I'm so ashamed of you all.

Tribal bigots not fit to be called Nigerians.

People like you guys in a country like Nigeria are a burden that needs to be offloaded in the desert.

I'm so irritated reading you all. Now I see why the U17 team had less comments pre-today because of the names of the boys that made the team.

Shame to you all.

Hehehehehehe! You never see shumthing.

The Hungarians were really bossing our kids with size.

Even against African oppositions our U17 sides are usually small which takes us back to a question i asked Months ago. That why are a teenagers usually small?

Most likely malnutrition. You see, most of the U-17 guys are from the streets and from lower class homes where good nutrition is rare. Hence their stunted growth

Manu Garba is not a tribalist. He has generally produced the most diverse under 17 teams.

However, a lot of the things that happened with this team are not ethical.

It is a very young side so i hope they go far in the tournament and make the right career choices.

Are Nigerians kids more malnurished than those tall Malian and Niger kids?

Me think it is more of a genetic than nutrition factor.

Genetics certainly has a role to play. And yes, Nigeriens and Malians tend to be naturally taller.

But what I am saying is that our players would have at least more bulk if they ate better

John Obuh had a more balanced team devoid of quota system, nepotism and tribalism. He even made Azeez his captain and had Omerou as the only starting player from his region. Bulk of his team were yorubas - Azeez, Ajagun, Kayode, Ogungbe etc

Well, you have a point there.

But watch how these kids will metamorphose in the next 2-3 years and folks here will easily erase these memories and call them 30yrs olds. Some things one reads here sometimes. Some people do not cease to amaze grin

Exactly. Especially those ones lucky to make it to Europe with better living conditions and better feeding.

Trust me, they'll get bigger. Their epiphysis haven't fused yet.

Anyway, you and your cohort should keep fooling yourself that you are the best when reality on group proved otherwise.

The other day, one foolishly believes mildfield is his tribes birthright. What dunces!
