I asked because I didn't know if it was already said here. For those who say we shouldn't be using foreign-born players in our U17 team, we have a prime example here of a another European country who are no minnows in football having a very open mind and not being discriminatory.
TheSuperNerd:
Well, several of them sound Dutch to me at least judging by the ones I have watched at the WC so far. I don't know much about their bench. But what exactly is the point of asking about the Dutch nationality diversity? It is normal to see a Dutch team having a diverse group. I remember 2005 vividly with Owusu Abeyie, Ibrahim Afellay and a few more.

Who said we should not use foreign born players in our U-17 team? Something that we even did back in 2013 when we included Habib Makanjuola? Naah... that person doesn't know that we have been doing so for a while now. The U-17 is for the best U-17 talents we can gather to represent us be they home or abroad.

Meanwhile, hold that thought... Leicester don score... ***Kicks fist in the air***

Ahead of the U-23 AFCON Group B opener between Nigeria and Ivory Coast, Christian Kouame of CIV is in action today for Genoa in the Serie A.

I think the same thing happening with whem Azubuike Okechukwu will join up with Nigeria is same as what CIV faces with some of they star players invited for the U-23 tournament. If Genoa insist on holding into him until close to the Nov.11-19 international window, then it means Kouame will miss the First game against our lads too.

Can Kouyate ever play football without his oversized white singlet popping out underneath his shirt, from the club level to the national team level?

ChrisKels:

Did england seek his consent before giving him that invite, knowing fully well that he once trained with us. You seek consent when the said player has played a competitive game or if it's ur first move. U don't seek the consent of a player that has trained with u, whose profile on every reputable website reads Nigerian, before giving him an invite.
Oga train... Nd play in an official team arent the same thing.... How are we even arguing something this basic?... So we should have just gone ahead to invite him??.. will dat have changed his response?... Are u guys implying dat asking him is now a wrong approach?... Or he would have given a different response?... Make una no de do like dis na

Super Eagles coach Gernot Rohr has landed in Ismailia, Egypt where the Olympic Eagles have set up a training camp ahead of the start of the 2019 U23 Cup of Nations.

The Franco-German football tactician will watch the Dream Team VII's opening match against Ivory Coast on November 9 before returning to Nigeria next week.

Rohr is expected to run the rule over the stars named on the Nigeria U23 roster such as Kelechi Nwakali, Tom Dele-Bashiru, Valentine Ozornwafor, Bright Enobakhare and Orji Okonkwo in the training sessions and against Ivory Coast with a view to a call-up to the Super Eagles in future.

Speaking to the official website of the Nigerian Federation, Rohr said : ''I’m here for a solidarity visit.I believe some of you will join me at Super Eagles some day.

''This team is full of potentials and I will be here to watch your first game against Côte d'Ivoire on Saturday.

''I hope you will give all your best to make sure the team achieve its aim in this Afcon U23 tournament.”

''I will be leaving on Sunday because the Super Eagles are also preparing for the Afcon qualifiers''.

Defending champions Nigeria will also face Zambia (Nov 12) and South Africa (Nov 15) in the group stage of the U23 AFCON

Still far better than any carpenter(Onazi, ogu, AGU, etebo, AGBO etl) we can boast of in the past 6years. All our midfielders minus Ndidi and iwobi can only dream of achieving what that guy has achieved so far in his career. Dude has been a starter in all the clubs he's gone to around Europe's top 5leagues, from Kortrjk to Anderletch, WestHam and now Palace . When he was Etebo and Aribo's age, he was a menace in the colors of West Ham in the EPL.

They will win. In short they have won. They have made it 2-0.

Meanwhile Ekong's Udinese is beating Kouame's Genoa 2-1 away from home. Ekong is balling. He is the most important and best player in that Udinese defence.

Very nicely done Rohr. Good way to boost the team psychologically.

Kalu and Maja's Bordeaux beat Moses Simon's Nantes 2-0 in Ligue 1.

Moses Simon saw plenty of action. Kalu was benched. Maja played the final 6mins.

Ekong and Udinese beat Kouame's Genoa 3-1 away from home. Great way to respond to that 7-1 bashing at the hands of UCL participants, Atalanta.

Ndidi and Leicester secure a superb 2-0 away win at Crystal palace. They remain Third on the EPL standings.
