Because of what is happening with Treasury bills, some people now want to market High Yield Investment Schemes that cannot withstand the test of time. Money market mutual funds are still okay and they are regulated by SEC

Lucky you, keep on investing the rental income generated by the property until you are sure of what to do or improved on your financial education.

You can also use the annual rent of N3 million to start a small business if you have flair for business. You might not break even in the first 2 years, but with persistence, hardwork, focus and God's grace you shall excel.

My elder. I honour you Sir

Happy Sunday Boss

Do you remember our last discussion on this where I spoke about data analytics. And why businesses fail is because they don't keep data or pay attention to them. Can we both quickly make a few case studies here on a few businesses and projected figures Sir?
The danfo driver will make over 40% annually even with a cheap Nigerian grade car Sir
Fx Managements can make over 40% annually with low risk Sir
Roasting plantains and grounut will rake in over 40% annually Sir
Zobo production will rake in over 40% annually Sir
Grountnut roasting will rake in over 40% annually Sir
Pure water sales will rake in over 40% annually Sir
MeSuya will rake in over 40% annually Sir
Keke Marwa repays back same year, Korope as well. And will continue to be in business which implies profitable net returns annually Sir
Cocoa farmer
Palm oil dealer
Cashew farmer
Sales of eggs
Sales of plantain
Broiler processing and poultry
Ugwu and vegetable sales
Food vendor
Bread sales
Convenience stores/Supermarket
If a business doesn't keep operational books intact and review its data analytics, it can't and won't make optimum impact Sir.

All aspects of the Polymer chain is profitable.

Marketing is easy and very lucrative. You buy from the factory and resell in retail markets.

Production and Marketing is very good. This way you occupy two sectors of the value chain

If you want to test the waters, start with marketing. If you want to go into production, you need a comprehensive business report on this. Note, this is an industry that needs stable electricity to survive I.e very big generators one for regular use, a standby generator in case the main one fails. Not to forget machinery, for an investor that comes in ready, this is a good business. But one I advice an investor with irregular cash flow to keep from

By the way you can also engage in low scale nylon production without a factory. With as little as one million this can be done, you can imort nylon granules into the country, approach a producing factory to process them into nylone and pay the charges, and you'll become a medium scale nylon producer. There are billions of companies that sell the granules online. But you'll need an insider to guide you on this process. What's to gain you may ask, imagine making 1.5 naira profit per nylon on just marketing a nylon alone, producing gives the ability to make about 80% more profit when you shi in the granules and produce your nylons. Now owning the factory itself raises the profit margin one notch higher again.

If you want to do just marketing, get a bus. Nylon is very heavy much heavier than you'll imagine in large quantities.

Find the moniker Adeyemi80. He handles this department perfectly Sir

Nylon business is a no go area, the govt is truly making plans to start a harsh campaign against that business because of the environmental harzard plastics normally cause, it takes hundred of years for a plastic waste to decay and Nigeria is yet to have good system for recycling plastics or introduce a more environmental friendly plastics to Nigerians, like they have in Europe or America. My family has a nylon business and we have received several letters from different govt agencies.

Thanks for the insight. Do you think the nylon business has a future in Nigeria? I got some unverified information that the federal legislators (abi legit-looters grin) are in the process of passing laws against the use of nylon in Nigeria.

Ur comment is too generic...
Put into numbers...
Cost of Fuel at N145 per litre...
Cost of expensive spare parts...
Cost of maintenance and servicing...
Agbero taxes and park taxes...
Police, FRSC etc miscellaneous charges...
Even if you are driving, u cant guarantee you will work 365 days in a year....
Delay period in the park....
Annual Insurance charges...
Most Naija cars dont have insurance.. the owner bear repairs where there is accident.....
It takes average of 2 years to recoup your investment on a car on the road...
I can assure you by the end of that second year....
Expenses to maintain the car as a result of wear and tear from bad roads.......
Will almost be at par with the revenue.....
Anything income starts from year 3.......

Hmm...but government at all levels in Nigeria is so bereft of workable solutions. No holistic approaches to solving problems. There are economic, social and legal angles to solving environmental challenges. Has the government considered the economic impact of an outright ban on nylon/plastics? Even at a time when poverty and unemployment is at an all time high? What happens to the livelihood of the players in that field? Using a sledgehammer to kill an house fly never ends well. The solution lies in implementing proper waste management systems that include segregation and
recycling of nylon/plastics. Nigeria should already be annexed to Singapore, Japan or China! Better still, Nigeria should be put up for sale on the international market and sold off to the lowest bidder grin grin grin

Your cement biz rakes in 80% annually but a few hours ago, you said it was impossible to make 40% profit as a biz person Sir.

Boss Major. Press brake small small. You know I'm your boy wink

Ive assisted at least 14 businesses on the verge of closing up and I reiterate data analytics is the key to business growth. Most organizations that don't do well or perform optimally either ignore data analytics or completely ignore their reports.

God help us all Sir. I hope you remained turkey for me this evening Sir.

BTW you posted very good statistical analytics on your financial expectations as against competitive forces. To do well in modern business, you need to increase your sales outlets connecting your business to more reach and improved viability.

You have all you need already Sir. All you need to do is connect the dots Sir. I.e two outlets x staffs gives this profit, what do I do to triple, quadruple or make eight times more profits. Get very good logistics setup to bridge the different locations and you're good.

It won't be hard to have like ten containers in ten locations two staffs per location and there you can begin to scale up expectations. Overall, you can remain optimistic, cement demand is mad.d sir, even my fish wants to build a house too wink

Funny enough I designed an ecosystem to keep the entire country clean, but one specially for Oyo state. Create jobs and receyle wastes. Testing running it on a micro level by Feb next year. Let's look to creating solutions to societal problems we see. As I'm mentored, the moment you spot a problem, you've found your calling and can create a business Sir.

I'm totally against completely phasing out plastics without deliberate mapped out plan on creating holistic solutions plastics use gives opportunity to.

All around our cities these days, in the absence of jobs, people pick plastics, sell them to factories. You need to see how waste recycling and management though unorganized and informal is improving lives.

I visited five dump sites collecting data earlier this year, and wastes is really improving lives. From rubber tyres to tin to metals to paper to plastics.

I really would wish globally we'll consider letting plastic live but I doubt the longevity of plastics. Lab-designed and enginereed fibre biodegradable plastics may replace plastics in few years
