Yeah, just pet him and if he runs temperature give paracetamol. This particular immunization doesn't usually come with much drama, its the next three that are the tough ones. If your son is still not acting okay in 24 hours, take him to the hospital.

Good day mamas,
Pls what are the actions I can take in this matter.
I bought cereal to feed my son last night, this morning while fetching into his plate, I saw live insects moving around in his plate obviously from the tin of cereal, I took videos of everything. I am still too shocked to say much about this. What action can be taken pls. I first tried returning it, but the seller refused collecting or exchange or refunding me.

I don't think there's really anything you can do, it doesn't seem like a factory fault. It's between you and the shop owner. Maybe it was damaged during transportation or storage and ants found their way in. But the shop owner would claim that the ants could have as well gotten in in your house so it's really just your word against his. I don't think there's really anything you can do now except avoid the shop cuz of the owner's poor customer services and next time check that seal is still intact before buying.

I had my baby 10 days ago... we were discharged on 3 days after birth. I am mix-feeding him as well (water excluded). He did not pooed for 2 days....when he finally pooed it was very hard and small.

With time his stool texture changed and is very regular.

Give her sometime...she will finally do what you wish.

Thank you ma, she can't claim it is from my house cause I bought it late last night and only opened it this morning to prepare breakfast, she was comparing it with the weevils in the semovita a customer of hers bought and said she told the customer to sieve it, was she implying I sieve weevils or whatever those insects were from the cereal before I feed my baby? That really pissed me off. I'm reporting this to the estate authority and the whatsapp group since she could even bounce the call on me cos it was my sister I sent to return it. I don't even buy things from her unless she's the only one available but I'd avoid her completely henceforth.

Ewoooo this is serious. She is even proud of her weevils. That's really bad then, I like the steps you're taking already. Narrate your case in the WhatsApp group and mention that she compared it to the weevils in semovita shocked shocked. Nothing somebody would not see in this world. Which cereal is this biko, in case I'm missing something?

Don't wake her to feed. You're supposed to be looking forward to those after bath sleeps, its the only time to do you. Leave her to sleep as long as she wants, she will always wake up when she's hungry. She still thinks she's in the womb, she would soon outgrow this stage and you'll miss it. And she'd start putting on weight then.

Since she's taking water well, it's possible she took more BM than formula in recent days and her body has utilized all of it so no poop.

Evening mama,

Pls note that if you're giving formula, try to also give water. Formula could cause constipation and that could be why baby's poo was hard.
Babies poo should not be hard, it shows the body does not have enough fluid.

This constipation thing is prevention is better than cure. My thoughts

Lol this your complaint, made me remember my friend's aunt who came for omugwu but she had this habit of massaging the newborn with hot water, making the baby to sleep for over 5 hourrrrssss, and this made my friend uncomfortable and would always panic, just like your doing. grin. So this day she couldn't cope again, she soaked a towel in a water and starting wiping LO's face until he woke up and then she told her aunt, to pls minimise the hot water bath and massage. I don't know if you will tow the line of wiping her face. There's no method/techique of waking up. You just have to keep trying until she wakes.

BTW the story above is for you to check if your also doing the same thing, my friends aunt did

The woman is a cow, she knows she sold rubbish to you. How can she even suggest you sieve it? Such nonsense!

I once bought cereal for my son, got home and saw that it had expired but someone evil printed a new expiry date on it to deceive their generations. I sharply returned it.

The other time, hubby bought weavil infested oats from shoprite, took it back the next day and they wanted to start 'manager talk', i kuku trust my husband, he allowed them finish their nonsense, went back to the aisle, got a fresh one and told them he was leaving, let their manager sort it.

Ok, didn't know they say that for all babies. I was told at the hospital to do something like that for my son cuz his blood sugar was low at birth but I fed GB on demand. I used to look forward to those hot water massages that MIL would give her to knock her out. And she would always wake up to eat when she's hungry. They grow out of that phase quickly enough anyway.

Sounds like weevils. Unfortunately it can be from the factory or shop owner

All you can do is avoid the shop, discard and buy another

Modified

If it's cerelac it's most likely from improper handling and she's stupid for telling you to seive a baby's food. In reality depending on when it was produced she can actually return it to Nestle

My baby was like this and I told my MIL that it seems my baby has jaundice cos the sleep wasn't normal. She gave me a negative look but my mother instinct won't let me rest. I took my baby to hospital and it was confirmed. Called my Dr Aunt, she said if I lyk my DS I must wake him up to feed at least every 3hrs so he can pass it out through poo. I started waking him by running tap water on his leg. I didn't say ur baby has jaundice but most babies with jaundice sleep excessively and you must wake them up to feed if you like them cos they need to poo a lot,to flush jaundice out of their system.
