Just as an FYI: Difference between leave to enter and leave to remain

Leave to enter is granted to a person who is outside of the UK. Leave to remain is granted to a person who is present in the UK.

Please who has information on Taunton, Somerset. The best area to live, how safe it is, if any black population. My results when I researched talked on violence and being unsafe. Anyone living there or had in the past?

Hi everyone. Please what's the process of filing for a divorce from UK? I'm married to a man who is not happy seeing me succeed, looking for ways to just bring me down. He's not been fending for me or the kids. I've been in UK for some years with the kids, working my ass out, taking care of them all alone while the father is in Nigeria. He has a dependant Visa but all he wants is to frustrate me. How do I go about it from here without visiting Nigeria please?
Thank you

Visited there more than 10 years ago, family holiday to Butlins to be precise, I hated it and the kids hated it then. It was a dump.

You can do it online or go to your local court. You don't really need to go to Nigeria.

Get a lawyer in Nigeria to petition him. Have you been physically apart for 2 years?......

This will cost her more money. If she is a UK resident, she doesn't need a Nigerian lawyer. Also if there are no assets involved she doesn't need a lawyer. There are so many DIY divorce online.

Goodluck with this DIY divorce arrangements o..... cheesy

This might be useful to a foreign trained nurse seeking NMC registration.

Will advising fraudulent activities to Action Fraud affect one when trying to get PR? Sadly, I was scammed on eBay and I am thinking of reporting to Action Fraud Police. Is this advisable?

Did you pay with paypal ?
Ebay and Paypal have a buyer protection scheme ............Also why would anyone be penalized for reporting a crime? . Highly unlikely

Did you say you were scammed or you were the scammer?

Were you the ‘Scammer’ or the ‘Scammee’?

Hello everyone, thanks for your guidance to those with the dream to migrate to the uk.
I want to migrate to the uk soon but need advice on the cheapest areas to live in england with a university within 10 miles of the area because I intend applying for masters while I work.
I am a nurse and I have completed the exams I need to write here in Nigeria, I presently need to find an employer.
I'm not sure of the effects of brexit which is why I said areas in England. Every advice will be appreciated.
Thank you.
.
Cheapest places: Just avoid the cities.
When your agency gives you the hospitals, you can research about the costs of living in the location.

You don't need to worry about a Master degree to work as a Nurse, your RN from Nigeria is enough except your role says otherwise. Start work and adapt to the system first. You (your role) will decide if you need a master or not.

You mean if you get a job offer in an NHS trust that is 15km away from the nearest University you will reject the offer?
If I were you.
1. I would get an employment FIRST.
2. I would migrate to the UK and assume duty.
3. I would begin working as a Nurse in earnest.
You may discover that an MSc is the LEAST of your worries.
You may discover that working as a nurse, all you require are NVQs and lots of trainings and masters becomes Useless.

You can't work as a Nurse in the UK with any of the NVQs. A Nurse is different from a Health Care Assistant or Healthcare Support worker or Carer.

But there are enough trainings and competency based courses.

Amen. Thanks a lot. I applied to the nhs and filled an application form through my agency and an interview date was given.
The interview was through skype and they just asked me a few questions on competence and why I wanted their nhs trust. They are to send a certificate of sponsorship which I'm told I will use for the visa application but it will take a few months.
I'm new to the process, so really don't have much information other than my field.

You don't need to worry so much as your agency will continue to guide you. And then, read up online. Don't be quick to sign a contract except you have made enough research. One of the most important thing is, RELOCATION PACKAGE. Your employer need to fund the costs of most of your relocation processes.

Ok.. now I understand. It’s the same with mine that is also 5 years but my BRP has spousal Leave To Enter.. not Leave to Remain.

Thanks so much for explaining. She will wait 5 years till she gets her ILR then.

I think your BRP will state leave to enter if you are coming in to the UK for the first time. However, if you renew within the UK, it will have Leave to remain on it. At least, that’s what I noticed with mine.

I sold on eBay using PayPal and the buyer used a spoof PayPal email to send payment confirmation to me. The emails said my payment was on hold and will reflect later. Called eBay and they said it happens to first time sellers. Only for me to send package and money didn’t show. Complained and both eBay and PayPal said the payment didn’t come through and the email wasn’t from them that I should report to the police. It was my first time selling on eBay and the whole thing was confusing.

Help Needed please.
Just completed my studies (tier-4 visa).
I got a job and they are happy to provide me a CoS.

I have 2 dependants. The big dependant works full time already (on my tier-4 dependant visa).

Am I expected to show any ‘evidence of funds’ when I’m applying for visa for us since we are already in the UK?

Another thing, my love child (whom I left in Nigeria with his mum (I hate to use the term Baby Mama) when I came to the UK as student). If I want to bring him now that ground has levelled. Do I need to show maintenance funds in account?

Thanks as you help me with your suggestions.

Thanks
