You shouldn't have. Whole story sounds sketchy and dubious. Why should you be a party to account topup? Hopefully, you have not been scammed. Pray and ask him to withdraw application.

Then come back here and read from page one, and apply by yourself

From what I percieve, your agent is doing a group submission, where he can make profit, for example, a single applicants fee costs 100CAD and biometrics is 85CAD , but if he adds more people to the application he will pay just 170CAD for biometrics and the others added is his profit. And he will still charge for his profit, and there is no guarantee for a successful application, its just mouth.

Agents focus is your money they don't really care about you. They can go at any length to submit forged documents on your behalf, and if you are caught you will be banned from travelling for some time.

Apply on your own, come here and ask questions, its cheaper and best for a successful application.

First of all it’s always very important for you to have an a basic idea about Canada Visa Application by reading it online which is totally free so that when your agent is telling you stories you are not confused like you are now.

Secondly 1.5 millions naira in your account is a good statement of account and there is no need trying to open an eco bank cos topping your account as far as I am concerned is illegal and you should not go that route . I got my Canadian visa with less than that amount you have.

My advice to any one applying for any visa is to go online and read because these same agents all they do is read.

I honestly think the process is getting faster lately. Here is my story:

Submitted my visit visa application on 9 October
Biometrics done on the 10th of Oct
Biometrics confirmation on the 10th of Oct (same day)
Eligibility review started on the 5th of November

Awaiting final decision and passport request

Recieved 6 ghost updates on my mail , 2 for each of us, of which each update represents correspondence letter and Original passport request letter update, they all came in between 3:10pm and 3:13pm.

Like I said earlier, their updates are not consistent, so even if you know the time, yours could drop in the morning....

I just got an email from them saying "There have been no updates to your application (Vxxxxxxxxxx) since you last checked your account. Thank you for your patience"

I thought that was professional! I don't know whether people receive such messages as well though.
