Am not ready to go yet. I applied for UK In July so I just used the same document to apply for Canada since it’s an online application. I just renewed my passport so I got the visa to expiration.Note my last Canada visa was just a year due to my passport expiring date.

@jj17cv

Review of Eligibility & background checks will keep running till maybe after you get back your passport booklet if approved or terminate if refused.

Mine is still running despite submitting passport.

Woow, I like the Canadian style of maximizing the passport validity, this is my first can. application, I initially thought it would be 6months given.

Is there any advantage having the tourist visa while planning express entry ?
Re: Canada Visit/tourist Visa Discussion. by Ozzz: 1:37pm On Nov 11, 2019
@Angie32

howfar with your application, when did you apply and how many days gone? have they started reviewing your eligibility ?

What was the feedback from the case you raised?

Most definitely! You can tour while making up your mind which province to migrate to.

It is more difficult to get a visit visa after applying for express entry.

Hi obilec I’m so sorry!! Please can you give us your timeline? When did your eligibility start and when did you get your BVL? Are you sure you submitted all supporting documents to support your application?
obilec:
Application refused today on account of family ties in canada and travel history. I was told i don't meet eligibility requirements, what does that mean?

This is not clear to me. I am not aware that you require a family tie in Canada before you are issued a Canada visa.

Wow ! You can always reapply don’t worry .... was your visa office in London?
obilec:
I submitted all required documents. I never got an official notification for eligibility review but I always saw “review in progress” whenever I logged in. Got my bvl today, four minutes before the refusal. I did biometrics in 2017. Submitted 19th September. I’ Been to Dubai and some other African countries so i wonder why travel history was given as a reason?

Guys when you submit your application the only time you should start worrying about the length of time is when it’s prolly day 75 cos my passport request came on day 63 so if you are on day 40 or 50 just calm down hahahaha. All the best to those who are still waiting.

So sorry about this. I think you should request for your GCM notes...that way you know the exact reason and work on it before reapplying. Wishing you all the best[1quote author=obilec post=83937024]Application refused today on account of family ties in canada and travel history. @obilec so sorry for the refusal, however, as for the Canadian family ties, am thinking it has to do with the person that invited you, probably the person isnt related to you or what was your purpose of travel?

in my opinion it's good to add both for transparency, however it depends if he will declare he is working or self employed, that will also determine which to present, for example if he is declaring self employment then he needs to show his business account, the salary account isn't needed.
thanks for your valuable response , but if he's declaring self employed without CAC and business account but run only savings account on his businesses, can this be used to apply

If his business isn't registered with CAC, then its difficult to prove it's a legitimate business , however if you can prove it somehow then you are good, I think the type of bank account doesn't matter, but you may have to explain why its a savings account and so on, because your duty is to convince the Visa officer beyond doubt that you are eligible for the visa.

My husband is canadian and invited me to spend Christmas with him. Schooling and working here in Nigeria. I have been to dubai and some other countries. It’s confusing.
Sorry but why not apply for spousal sponsorship? Your ties appear to be stronger in Canada so going the visit visa route will result less chance of success.
